Thanks a lot Steveo! I really enjoyed seeing you fly the Cirrus out in America. I’ve never flown out there but it does look an amazing place to fly!! Keep your videos coming, love them.
What a superb aircraft. A real far cry form the Cessna 150 and 172s I used to fly years ago. Outstanding flight and video of it. Thanks so much for sharing it.
Sadly I had to give up my G3 SR22 GTS due to failing eyesight but now I can enjoy flying virtually and "keep current" on here, love the G6 and phone app, great new features.
Hey Ben. Love your work. In fact after watching you, Nikos wings and Steveo flying the Cirrus i decided to lash out and buy one. A 2018 Cirrus SR 22GTS carbon Will be here in Australia in September. Looking forward to showing you around Australia with some VLOGS,
I very much enjoyed that trip! Gorgeous plane and a very professional Cirrus instructor. It’s good to see that at least some people in Europe cruise at a proper power setting of 85% and not at a pathetic 65%! :)
@Thomas Wenger My ex-wife is from Bern so i spent many times in Switzerland. I once went to an airshow at Bern-Belp and had a free flight in a small jet over the Alps! A pity when these guys flew into Bern the weather was not so good as you will know Switzerland often gets clear blue skies. My most memorable time was spending the day at Kleine Scheidegg relaxing outside a restaurant watching climbers on the Eiger! You live in a very beautiful country.
Superb Ben Thank you. Makes a change from a PA28 (!) I had a test flight, with Philippe, in a similar SR22T a few months ago and yes, it’s fantastic. These flights of yours are the best marketing he could have - real world flying, not sales videos. Well done.
thanks for the awesome video, great views. So you started at Biggin Hill. I used to live in Lewisham, south east London when I was young and used to go out on my Triumph Tiger 100 motorbike and went out to the Kent area a lot. Now I am 79, divorced and only have a car, which is 21 years old, 186500 miles on clock
Great IFR approach into Berne and very well done video! It's such a shame you didn't see almost anything of the Alps this time, but that's how the weather in the northern Alps often looks like. The advantage of the airport is the fact, that it is outside of the higher mountains, which makes conditions a lot easier.
Here's the approach chart if you want to follow along: www.bernairport.ch/images/content/pdf-dokumente/LS_AD_2_LSZB_en_V005_20.pdf And the dover2 departure chart... 1aviation.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/EGKB-ALL.pdf
Stumbled across your video and channel from a general interest in aviation though I have never learned. Excellent video, really engrossing and informative, thanks for sharing this for all us would be pilots. A
Very nice flight. You seem to be doing very well in your transition from the Cirrus 20 to the 22. It appears that Cirrus has made some enhancements to the flight panel which should make your job a little easier. Great job with the ILS to landing. Radio communication was excellent! I expect to see you in the Vision Jet in a few years. I have watched videos and it is an exceptional single pilot airplane!
Beutiful airplane, the tech and user interface is amazing. What about engine failure in the middle of the English channel? Is it in gliding distance to land?
Nice to see you in a Cirrus Ben 😃 Philipe looks fun to fly with. Do you have a contact for him so I can try get a flight with him next time I’m in the UK? Cheers mate, nice video as always, Stef
Very nice flight. One question regarding approach. I never saw the LOC or GS armed (no annunciation in white on the PFD), yet they were green at the proper time. Also I never heard you say that u pushed the APP button. Is there something different with the G6 or was it just edited out.
As i was thinking. Great plane and pilots, but in busy airspace, better to use autopilot and then do the knobs and touching when using autopilot so you can pay more attention to all the other stuff. This pilot is a sharp one. Wish you the best.
...just watch a couple of older videos. featuring Greg..the Premiere 1 Driver...flying and ferrying .. one or two.. of these Beautiful British Beech Premiere 1 Jets.. Way Across Europe..Over the Pond ..through Scotland. and Greenland..to the USA..
I like the plane but it should have auto mixture and no need to switch fuel tanks for the price they are charging. Also doesn't it require fuel boost before switching tanks? Not a big deal but I think planes should be getting simpler to use.
Great flight Ben. What plane do you prefer, the SR22 or the PA28? I've been to Switzerland and to Wengen. Course it was with an airline and train. Really appreciate your videos Ben. Thank you. Fly safe.
Ben If I may please:- Is that a Garmin Glo (GPS receiver) on the shelf under the MFD? If so, why? - for someone’s iPad? And do you find the Cirrus seat rather hard (or is it just me)? Best of luck with the IR - it’s a tough test flight but you’ll ace it. David
@Paul Whitear in poor weather, depending on the combination of airport and the equipment in your aircraft, there is a minimum altitude below which you are not allowed to descend unless you can see the runway. The combination of airport and equipment gives our pilots a minimum of 2170 feet. That means if they descend to 2170 feet for landing and still can’t see the runway because of weather, they’re not allowed to descend any further. They have to abort the landing and either wait for the weather to improve or go land somewhere else. That “somewhere else” is called the “alternate,” and the pilot would have chosen his alternate before he even takes off so that there is no planning necessary if he discovers he can’t land at his destination. The plans are already made and he just executes them. 2170 Is very high for a minimum, generally. We are in mountainous country here, and we see at 36:00 that an altitude of 2170 is just a few hundred feet above the ground. Often the cockpit instrumentation will call out “minimum” at that altitude as a reminder. Pilots sometimes call it “decision height.” At 22:05 our pilots here program the computer to make this callout at the correct altitude. The computer dutifully makes the callout at 35:54. Between those two times, at 34:52, they call “runway in sight,” to establish explicitly that the criterion for continuing the landing has been met and the descent can continue. All of this applies only to flying in poor weather. There’s a whole other set of rules for clear weather. Google IFR vs. VFR for more info.
The small planes have ice problems on their wings or is not it a problem for them? And what happens if the computer dies? I do not see any avionics instruments. thank you
Great video.. I grew up 5miles from Biggin and never really flown in Europe .. I have a 2018 SR22 G6 based in Singapore so we have a world for permits and some long water crossings at timme. Enjoyed your video a lot. PS have a vision jet I collect Sept 2020 and will stop at Biggin on ferry flight home
How long were you up at FL110 (I think you even said were at FL120 at one point)? You're only allowed 30 minutes at that altitude without oxygen, right?
Beautiful Airplane! The SR22T is an amazing aircraft to fly. Enjoyed the video.
Thanks a lot Steveo! I really enjoyed seeing you fly the Cirrus out in America. I’ve never flown out there but it does look an amazing place to fly!! Keep your videos coming, love them.
@@PlaneOldBen I'm based in Nottingham what's the best flight training school would you recommend?
Nice to see you here Steveo!
@@PlaneOldBen does cirrus planes and vision jet got tcas?? Or other anti collision features?? Regards

Hi Benntertainment 40
Another Aussie here in the market. How did you go, have you taken delivery?
Awesome stuff! Beautiful airplane!
MrAviation101 Cheers Josh, it’s an absolute pleasure to fly!
I very much enjoyed that trip! Gorgeous plane and a very professional Cirrus instructor. It’s good to see that at least some people in Europe cruise at a proper power setting of 85% and not at a pathetic 65%! :)
We always fly on 30.5 manifold pressure, throttling back is boring!
What a great video. Very interesting and showed off the wealth of features the Cirrus has.
Thanks a lot, Simon!
Nice to see that video flying into "my" airport here in Berne (LSZB). My home is located in the right hand base for runway 32... ;-)

Very Nice edition of the trip showing takes about what's going on with the plane and its systens...congratulation from Brazil
Nicely done! As a pilot in training in rainy Seattle its great to see some videos with significant cross country flying IFR.
Thanks a lot, good luck with all your training!
Superb Ben
Thank you.
Makes a change from a PA28 (!)
I had a test flight, with Philippe, in a similar SR22T a few months ago and yes, it’s fantastic.
These flights of yours are the best marketing he could have - real world flying, not sales videos.
Well done.
He’s a legend, hope you enjoyed your test flight!
Again, another great video by and Ben and the team. I really enjoyed having the features of Cirrus glass cockpit explained.
Well done!
I love the new Perspective it works great - thanks for watching!
Great video! I'm so jealous of you flying that Cirrus. That's my big dream to fly (and own) a SR22T.
You’ve got to get flying in a Cirrus you’ll love it!
Awesome! It's amazing to see all the technology there is available nowadays even for small planes.. hopefully getting cheaper some day soon haha
Very nice flight Ben. Niceley done. I love the Cirrus SR22!

Super Vlog and an excellent "sales tool" for Cirrus and the capabilities of it's current 'glass cockpit. Thorough info / instruction from Phillippe
Ken Lynch cheers Ken!
Nice one Ben. Great job all round! Already looking forward to the next video and good luck with the instrument rating. Steven.

Super aircraft and technology, are the check lists displayed on the MFD, or memorized?
Awesome flight! That airplane is sweet.
The speed with which you managed to upload the flight plan was something else!
Very nicely put together video and great flying.
Thanks Wayne!
I enjoyed every moment
I'm getting very jealous of you, Ben, very jealous indeed. That plane looks a lovely bit of a kit with lots of nice, well thought out 'toys'.
Great Video again and awesome insight to all the latest electronics 🛩
Thank you, we really worked hard to show of the features of Garmin Perspective - which is awesome!
Great video guys
Good flight Ben... I’ve flown the SR22T G3. They are a very capable aircraft, lucky man....
Thank you, Eugene!
Super-awesome! Such a gorgeous shade of blue on your 22T!
My first flight ever was from Biggin in 1992 I think. My sister lives just outside Zurich so I have been there many times. Nice aeroplane.
Beutiful airplane, the tech and user interface is amazing. What about engine failure in the middle of the English channel? Is it in gliding distance to land?
love your Cirrus VLOGs....more please!!
Great machine and a very nice video Ben. Good to see the briefing and hear the in flight dialogue concerning the arrival. Well done
Thank you Tim, I really wanted a nice flowing narrative on this one!
Thanks for the video, what a beautiful bird.
Beautiful flight! Really enjoyed it, seen you land in my home town
Nice flying Ben, Great production I see the new gear investment has paid off.
So many comments but no one with the ”right” question... 😉 What is the brand of the watch that Mr. Cirrus had? Loved it! 😍 Great video!
Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
Nice video Ben - The Cirrus looks awesome!
Very nice mate! Got to love the Cirrus
Cheers Charlie!
Looked like fun, thanks for sharing.
So funny.
Even without the SR22, I will have a plane someday.
Just found your channel! Great report. Ideal too for those of us in the flight simulation world!! Thanks.
Cool seeing a single prop craft in the flight levels
Your videos keep getting better every time ;) it was an amazing video, I enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks :)
Thanks a lot, I tried to get the length of it just right so I’m pleased you enjoyed every minute!

Stefan,

Thanks Trystan, I appreciate the response.
Very nice video Cr22 is very nice aircraft. I would like to do the rating of this aircraft but I don’t know the best place to do Sr rating thanks
Love it Can't wait for your next trip

The Flying Reporter thanks for the Report!
I believe the word 'awesome' is over used but that aircraft and flight certainly fits the bill. This is the stuff of dreams Ben. More power to you.
Thanks for watching, it was a great flight!
Interesting.
Plane is from Cirrus Europe but has a US N-number. Destined for the USA?
Thanks for having us along. Nice flying.
Great video thanks for posting
Love the Ryanair intro music, that tune is engrained in my head!!
Great video. Had no idea cruise power setting was so high in the SR22 (84%).
In the initial climb it was 115%
Thank you very much for this nice video😊👌

I see a magenta HSI on the ILS approach, why did the needle not switch to green for ILS ?
Great video! A shame you didn't see Bern & the alps it in good weather. How long did it take & what cruise speed did you have on avg?
Thanks for the great RUclips Video
Curious - I am left handed.. Can the command seat be the RHS, so can write with the left? Thanks!
Great flight Ben. What plane do you prefer, the SR22 or the PA28? I've been to Switzerland and to Wengen. Course it was with an airline and train. Really appreciate your videos Ben. Thank you. Fly safe.

Great footage !
If only I had 3/4 of a Million. :) That is one EXPENSIVE SEL plane!
one million
I know this airplane can fly long hours.. what do you guys do if you need the bathroom in long flight?
Depends how much you’ve drunk.
How much is the plane?
What was going on with the guys and the car around 4:08?
Great video mate
Thank you!
I've heard minimums a lot. What does it mean please. Always enjoy your videos.

As Cirrus of St. Louis owns the airplane, who pays for the fuel? Just curious. Oh, who flew the Cirrus from the U.S.A. to Europe?
Nice Ben!
Cheers Andy
Brilliant
Nice work :)
how much is the price of cirruss sr22? maximum speed?
The small planes have ice problems on their wings or is not it a problem for them?

Between your knees under the switches.
Flew to Liverpool yet

In an N-Reg Aircraft you’re able to cruise at FL120 without oxygen.
Thanks for the quick reply! I didn't realise rules like that depend on the registry rather than the airspace you are in.
Nice !
I flew the same route in Flight Simulator, but I turned the clouds off
