    Taiji Chuan for beginners takes you through the Chen style form, also known as the canon fist. The Chen form has an old frame and a new frame form.
    In this video Master Wong is performing the new frame canon Fist form and has separated the form into 8 parts in this series for you to learn.
    Chen style is much more challenging compared to the 24 - Yang style. Yang has much slower movements and less demanding then Chen. Chen consists of fast control movements mixed in with some slower movements with jumps and turns, from low to high. Practicing this form will defiantly get your heart pumping and build stronger legs.
    The Chen style was the first ever TaiJi form created, followed by Yang, Sun, Wu and Ng. The creator Chan San Feng used TaiJj for combat purposes. The Yang family later transferred it’s training methods for health benefits.
    Benefits of taiji Chuan
    The form will help you learn to maintain balance when moving in combat lines. It will help you develop better posture and use your strength internally, using power that you’ll never new existed inside you. Most strike can be devastating when hits land on the body. Researchers have found that Tai Chi practice shows favorable effects on the promotion of balance control, flexibility, and cardiovascular fitness. Tai Chi has stood the test of time, millions upon millions of people practice Tai Chi to keep themselves young in body and mind and have been doing so for thousands of years. Tai Chi unifies body, mind and energy and nurtures every part of ourselves.

    I find it interesting that for those people who are negatively criticizing Master Wong, he did a segment about haters and those of you who talk negatively are exactly that: haters. You're watching Master Wong. He's not watching you. If you think you can do better, then you put up a video and be critiqued. The man put out a nearly 5 minute video. It's not easy.

    This is what I’ve always observed while studying martial arts for 50 years. Each individual has their own style. It is developed through countless hours of training in basics. When the student has learned those basics then their own style shines.

      @masterwong101  7 месяцев назад +2

      Absolutely, my friend! Your insight is spot on. Basics are the foundation. As I always say, "The way you do anything is the way you do everything." Mastery comes from refining those fundamentals. Keep nurturing your unique style! 💪

    I love Master Wong. Still, this may be a full form and has its own merits, but it is in no way anywhere near as long or as complex as the Original OLD Frame 83 Posture Chen Tai Chi Chuan Form which takes about 10-25 minutes to do. We are practicing the original Chen style now at Shaolin. Chen Family Village also lost the Chen Style Tai Chi Iron Fan form, luckily, Shaolin retained it.

    "But that is the whole essence, that you invest your energy in sensationing vs. expressing and so what seems soft, becomes strong when the opponent expresses/shows his strengt and will and intentions and patterns."... - the softer and more mobile you are, the more and better you can react towards the opponent. If you meet force/strong with strong/force,you oppose vs. follow, you collide vs. meet and transform/mobilize opponents energy. But Wong is good, I actually like his "style".

    I really like Master Wong. But I have to say something here. First, kua needs to be open in all moves even during the transition. Second elbows shall be no higher than shoulders in some moves. Third, the hand shall lead the elbow, elbow shall lead the shoulder, the shoulder leads the body. Lastly, elbows shall be close to ribs, hands shall be close to jaw lines.
    Don't know if my comments are clear...

    Please note that anyone can copy and paste to Wikipedia. No one can prove that Zhang San Feng had anything to do with Taijiquan. According to Grandmaster Chen Zhenglei(his forefathers created Taijiquan) and i asked him personally, Chen Wanting created Taijiquan "techniques/principles/training methods, from the styles of Shaolin"kungfu" that he learned(he was an army General). Then following generations of the Chen family put these techniques together over the years into actual "forms"/taolu.

    I mean, all attention is towards sensibility/sensitivity, to sense the incoming and activiated impulses in the opponent and react to those vs. beeing strong in ones dooings. If strong in your dooings, you will perform vs. react. Reactivity is very much sensitive, and so all energy needs to be invested into sensing, which requires feeling and following the impulses incomming.
