Having only seen Master Wong's self defense application videos I started watching this with incredibly different expectations of the energy and vibe of this video. It only serves to demonstrate my ignorance of the depth of Master Wong's knowledge and grasp of a wide range of kung fu as it applies to both body and mind.

I'm glad to hear you find the techniques helpful! That song during the Tai Chi demonstration is truly beautiful, isn't it? It's called "The Path of Harmony," which aligns perfectly with the principles we follow in Wing Chun. Remember, "The way you do anything is the way you do everything." Keep training hard, my friend.

As in the video about those movement, are you keeping your body and arms relaxed or using force like keeping them tight

    • @masterwong101

Hey there, in Tai Chi, it's about finding balance, like the yin-yang. Stay relaxed, but use just enough force for control. 🥋 Want to explore more? Subscribe for my latest wisdom and Master Wong's 101: Your First Steps in Self-Defense! 😉

    • @mrsam2026

dear sir, from a psychiatric point of view, thai chi and yoga both help to calm the brain. this happens because as you focus on your breathing and in the movements you are creating a discipline which helps oxiginate the brain. as you continue to study your brain will, over the course of time develop its structure. CT scans of martial artists show a decrease in size of the medulla oblongata. This reduction in size is beneficial for maintaining a regular calmed outlook on life. As for Parkinsons, a supplement called vinpocetine helps dilate the brains vascularisation when asleep (please talk to your doctor about this).

@sportinggoodsreview The form was repressed at certain times in history becuase of its effectivness as a. martial arts people practiced the hidden versions so not to arouse suspicion and persicution.,Most martial arts forms have stories and rich histories behind them and understanding this helps one understand the arts in a different ways they developed through out eastern history.

Absolutely, my friend. In martial arts, forms aren't just for show; they're blueprints for combat. Every movement has a purpose, teaching you balance, precision, and power. It's not just about memorizing sequences; it's about understanding their application in real-world situations. Remember, "The way you do anything is the way you do everything."

@sportinggoodsreview The history of tai chi is one of martial arts, look up the history of yang the invincible for which the yang style was developed, many diferent styles were passed on from family to family and many martial arts movments were hidden in these styles and only revealed in need. The Chen style that master wong is showing is a more difficult form and very powerful from the same origins but of a different liniage They evolve.some forms were watered down for the purpose of health
