I try to consciously do that so people can follow along. I do, however, not expect everyone to agree. I just want people to hear my reasoning and hopefully designers end up forming their own approach
Also, I want to say that I appreciate the inclusion of calling out which Gestalt principles apply. This video felt like the difference between cooking and baking. It's so hard to be creative with a blank page. Breaking down some common rules to follow while using the grid makes the beginning stages of a project so much more approachable. This is one of those things that should be obvious but as a relatively new designer, I needed to hear it. Thank you
Thank you so much!! I try my best to include as many details in my videos. The more you hear things, the more they become second-nature. Let me know if I can help. I'm excited for your design journey ❤️
I love your videos so much. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! I just got my first time job as a graphic designer for an ad agency and these videos have been so helpful!!
Congrats on the new job!! When I first started making content it was just to put out content, then I realized that it can serve as a nice supplement depending where people are at in their design journeys. Let me know if there are any topics you’d like me to cover ❤️
WoWwW! Great designs and great way of teaching! Seems like the way you design is less cumbersome than using a baseline grid. This suits me fine as I do production layout and we don't usually have time to set up baseline grids at work. New sub, thank you!!
I've seen people default to always using a baseline grid, but I've only used them when I worked for a newspaper and the feature well of magazines. I still need to do a video on using column grids... Thank you so much for subscribing!
Your channel is so underrated, I believe how you show and explain the process separates it from the rest! "+" those minute details.
Thank you so much!! I'm growing slowly, but surely. It's comments like these that keep me going. Glad you're finding value in my content. Mabuhay! 🇵🇭
You git a sub! great explanation Tirso
I really enjoyed this lesson, and yes all the small details you cover, helped me a lot. Thank you!!!
This is gold! I really appreciate how you talk through your design choices

You explain very detailed and easy to understand. Thank you very much!
I'm starting a class for InDesign and this is by far the best video I've found explaining grids in a way that I can actually apply. You're awesome!

Great stuff man!
Thanks so much! 🙏
How do you create grid inside rectangle? Are you using illustrator or Indesign in this content?
I created it manually for the purposes of the video. I always use InDesign for layout!
