I've been carrying a simple preon-II penlight for over a decade as main utility light, since for more extreme uses I simply have my weaponlight, but in the last couple years I've added a Fenix tk30 LEP that has a 1 mile throw without spill.
I have many flashlights including a MCH EDC with dual modes and it's my favorite flashlight. The low and high modes cover every situation. I found that on my flashlights that have multiple modes, I really only needed and used a low and a high anyhow. I have a Malkoff, Olights, Fenix, Thrunites and the MCH is the light that works best for me.
My name is John, and I have a flashlight addiction problem... LOL. I carry 3 kinds of flashlights. Every day. I carry 2 streamlight 300 lumin USB charging penlights, 1 Streamlight Macro Stream 500 lumin USB charging mid-sized EDC light and Cloud Defense MCH EDC single output light. The MCH is my heavy hitter with a Thyrm Switchback. I dont care much for pistol mount weapon lights so... MCH/Switchback. Love it. Given the name: Mission Configurable Handheld, I was hoping to buy a complete light and then get just an MCH HC head and switch them out as needed. It's been disappointing to only see complete lights and no separate heads on Cloud's website. Fortunately, that's been my only regret, and the EDC head works well enough. It's built like you'd expect a $200+ flashlight to be - simply outstanding. Mine is in FDE.
The light looks quite warm like around 4000 kelvin.
My MCH was delivered today. I do not have the strength to unscrew the head (or tail) to insert the battery. I am afraid to exert more strength than I already have, out of concern that I might break it.
I highly doubt you’ll break it, mine was on tight too. Don’t use pliers or any tools.

No, it won’t break. Just REMEMBER when screwing the light-head back on (or tail cap) to do it just as tight- if not, it flickers (at least that was my experience). Excellent handheld all around though- very configurable indeed!
they say like 60 min run time. In practice, how is that perceived?
In my experience the run time is directly linked to the quality of the battery in the unit. An Hr is about right for accurate run time on this unit give or take 15-20 mins depending on the battery quality. I always keep an extra 18650 or two on hand so i can care a whole lot less about the exact run time. - Ethan

The Warrior X 3 has 78.000.
Heck yeah. Especially considering the MHC HC DF has 81,000 candela. Might be an interesting matchup.
