Yea for Nelson! Good neighbors can become good friends and I love how much he was able to help out with this piece. Especially on a week where Dani really needed the extra help. It turned out beautiful, that blue is the perfect dusty color! Glad to see you back on your feet, Sherry!
Aloha Jenn! Thank you and yes, we are so grateful for Nelson!! And I think this is inspiring him to do some furniture restoration himself....he loves it so much... will see.... 😮😍
Thank you, Mrs. Jax! Haha ... yes, this is the time of year when we don't spend much time outdoors except in the garage and in the pool so the scenic footage is a great reminder to us why we love this place so much. 😮😊
Knocked it out of the park ladies! Yeah, quick strip, i too found out the hard way. My glove tips ripped so by the time i was done my fingers were numb and 1/2 their normal size!! My wine bar is killing me! Final step putting the backs back on and realized the paper was vertical instead of horizontal, arrghhh!
Thank you, D! On this one, we used mineral spirits to clean up the stripper residue (where we used stripper) and a good degreaser/cleaner on the other areas. I can't remember if we used Dirtex (a TSP non-toxic alternative) or LA's Totally Awesome cleaner. Sometimes we even use Dawn dish soap.
Haha ... thanks, Lesley! We are the worst with pronunciation... Pops has a degree in communications and is Always correcting us. I am surprised this one slipped by him. 🙃😮

You are both so talented. What do you use to clean these wood pieces?

You mispronounced Jacobean. It’s Jack-o-be-an.
