Jedidiah appears to have it all. Stern tying ✅ trees ✅ and sheep ✅
For real, cannot wait to visit next summer. Great video!
This is a bribe, to encourage you to put out more episodes.😀 It also works to buy more beer. Slainte. 😎☘
Stunning!
Jedediah is my favorite destination: old homestead, wild sheep, orchards, beautiful trails, dozens of perfect coves to escape any wind direction.
So true!
Great video guys! We were just at Smugglers and Jedediah last week. We climbed Gibraltar and put our names in the book. That's definitely something you should do next visit to Jedediah.
My grandfather grew up in Bar Harbor, Maine. He was a young boy during prohibition, his family’s basement had sheltered access to a cove. He recalled several times when some gentlemen came to talk with his dad, informing him he was to stay the duck out of his cellar for a few days… he said he saw a big stack of lots of boxes under a tarp… then the next day the stack and the tarp were gone except for one box. My guess was it was Crown Royal because that was his go to.
My first time stern tying was in smugglers. It was a learning experience 😅
First time for me too! Atleast on a personal boat. I’ve stern tied in desolation sound with an 80 foot ship :) had Alec with me too that time.
What a beautiful place! The episodes just keep getting better each week! Much love and hugs!
Cool music...
Thanks! Switched it up a bit :)
You have an exceptional talent for storytelling . Thanks!
Best episode ever loved it❤
That was a good video. Liking the history on the islands. Fan from Steveston. 😎☮️.
A fantastic showcase of this breathtaking coastline.
😎😎😎
Like a perfect time out. Fabulous video guys. Thanks for bringing us along.😊
It looks beautiful there, enjoy the good times.❤
It is the best this area has to offer. Although genuinely Silva is up there too. Next time you’re here maybe we make a run for Jedediah!
That sounds like a plan, I'm in.
Goodonyas!
just chilling 👏🏻👊🏻
Thank you for the lovely tour !
Looks like somebody shears those sheep. Beautiful area certainly.
you seem as if you're so far away, like in the wilderness, but in reality you're just over there a few miles. Canada is like that.
Never start drinking till you’re sure about the anchor.
Fantastic trip & footage! Well done!
Thank you. I really appreciate it!
Good to see you two back out on the water. Looking forward to getting up and touring this area myself eventually. Meanwhile I'm curious about the mechanics of it all. How do you manage your woodstove? Do you bring a supply of offcuts and supplement that with driftwood? How do you think about provisions? Waste management? Anchoring? Down here in the south Salish anchorages can be quite variable. Super deep until right up close to shore or long, gently sloping mudflats that extend remarkably far out from shore. Fortunately my current boat draws less than 2 feet (.6 meter) with the boards up. I'm working towards building one that draws almost 4 (1.2meters) but I'll tackle that once it is built. Nice to meet you both in PT
yep, we are the only animals who have to pay to live on this planet. What have we done to ourselves! :-0
Actually I wonder what happens to wild sheep's wool. They never get trimmed so do they shed the coat? Does it just grow on them for their entire life? Hummm.
I'm not quite sure why the sheep were so awesome. It was daytime, everyone knows sheep only bite your face at night.
Just put a pair of wellington boots on sticks next to your camp ... they will keep their distance 😂.
Just watch out for the Rams in season.
I can taste the mutton already 😜
Is your email still valid? If so, I sent you one. 😎☘️
who shears sheep?? Sheep needs shearin'
Go easy on him people he’s autistic level 3 you’ll notice it on Haley’s chin when he smiles, so stop giving him shyt, Hayley cares for him
They will get tangled up in the brush and debri and die of starvation.... sadly, these domestic animals should be rescued, as well as returning the land to native species... in my professional opinion
I’m curious if some of them get sheered on occasion, some look sheered. Maybe park rangers?
There are ancient wild breeds like Soways and Jacobs sheep 🐏 with four horns and tend to be more dog sized. Impossible to round up ...they run and scatter rather than herd.
In the Scottish Hebrides some of them feed mostly on seaweeds in the intertidal zone..
They built stone beach/ sea walls to keep them out of their limited fields..
thats the younger ones , u can quess the age of the animal by its fibre length , ive spent a bunch of time on jedidiah , there are also a strain of goats that date back to the Spaniards leaving breeding pairs on different Islands for food security, I've only seen them a couple times when it's stormy and there's not many visitors on the island
there are a few differnt herds of sheep
