In Europe parents take their kids to the bar not only during the day but at night like kids and babies are out until 2am with their parents of course asleep in their strollers or sometimes awake for a bit. I don’t like a many things from Europe but the culture around alcohol I love and that’s one think I’ll bring back with me when we move back to the US and teach my future children. Alcohol is to enjoy in a social setting not to binge.

Would even live there, love it so much but the one thing about their culture I don't care for is the early exposure to alcohol for children. Alcoholism is learned and hereditary. Grew up in an alcoholic environment and after interviewing many alcoholics, found that those who've become alcoholics were exposed to it at very young ages. Have mixed feelings taking children to bars and the hour children taken to such places.

This is cultural. In Spain, kids go to the bar with their parents and with people drinking alcohol. Spain has a huge bar culture, and kids go there with their parents and family because it's where family and friends meet to spend time with each other. I would go to Spain in elementary school and go to the bar all the time and have snacks and a soda, while the adults had alcohol. When I'd get back in the US, everyone would be so surprised I was at a bar, and to me it was always normal

Anyhoo.....my parents oh keep in mind I LOVE THEM BOTH 💯.....my parents took us, (me and my siblings) with them almost everywhere including work! There was a bar/restaurant way back in the day where the owner knew my parents and allowed them to bring us. We weren't ever with the adults but within eye contact at all times seriously. And we were most definitely safe!!! We were served food of our choice from their menu and drinks along with snacks. We could watch TV too had access to the restroom. My parents never had any issues or problems and took care of us expeditiously! We would sometimes just simply order ma and PA's BBQ we always got our own order of rib tips with me settling for the mild sweet sauce 😂 OMG! those were some awesome times and sweet memories!! I miss those days and today SMH we can't do that with ALL THE DARN KILLINGS happenings!!!
In wisconsin I always say with my parents at the bar. It's not like we (the kids) are drinking. It's no big deal. People are too hung up with certain stuff. Plus in WI I can drink with my parents legally underage as long as the establishment allows it. Americans are too hung up when it comes to bars and kids and alcohol.
