I'm disabled and don't get to travel or go on vacations due to financies unfortunately!!.. Thanks to your videos i get to briefly have some cool experiences..!! Thanks
I am a Vietnam era veteran. If I was against the war and skidaddled to Canada it would be BC. Thanks so much for these terrific videos of BC. Outstanding.
Mike - I hope your Province or Canada in general, is either sponsoring you or at least contributing to your expenses because you are doing an outstanding job of selling their tourism possibilities.
I've been a tiny house fan for quite a while. This is one of my all time favs. 1st - NO LOFT . . . Yay! Real plumbed toilet. All the wood makes it so warm and cozy. Amazing deck. Efficient and well-appointed kitchen. And - although I never thought about it b4 - outdoor shower is cool. Add an outdoor hot tub - and - I'm there. Love your variety when it comes to vlogs. Thanks!
Thank you for taking the time and the effort to support mental health. One in five people in Canada are directly impacted in some way by mental health issues. Every little bit counts. Education is vital. Spread the word. Love your channel especially the train vlogs. When they are back on the tracks, I recommend you hit up VIA for a possible video series on the Prestige Class on the Canadian. My wife and I travelled from Halifax to Vancouver by train in 2019. From Toronto to Vancouver we did the Prestige class, with larger room, larget window, leather sofas that turn into a queen sized bed at night, and all bar drinks are included. It's a once-in-a-life-time experience and well suited for DownieLive
It sounds amazing, Bill. It’s definitely on my list of train trips to experience, as soon as it is safe to travel across provinces again. Luckily I have already filmed a VIA Rail trip in Edmonton coming out in 2 weeks.
Living off grid as simple as the cottage fairy...The most stunning with the coziness and pure breathtaking...don't forget the Grilled Steak on the fire stone...💖
Cozy is the word! But who cares, it has a deck with a view and a half!! That bathroom has a marvellous view too! If we are ever in BC again I want to stay there!❤️
from tiny homes/container conversions, train trips, to places to visit, to that crazy drag race you went on, it looks like you are one of my top influencers! And yes, Squamish is on the list.
Two of my sisters have outdoor showers. The built them with walls that are not this high. You still have the view while showering, but people can only see your head and shoulders if they were to go by.
@@DownieLive also saw your Dublin video today. Thought that was really well done too. Not sure I’d do too well sleeping in a pod but you made it work. You have reason to feel very good about what you’ve created here.
Mike, I AGREE whole heartedly.. I’d love to live in a tiny house... That one is so cozy and just perfect....YOU were a lot braver during the outdoor shower....... .I excepted COLD water and watched for your response, glad to know it wasn’t too uncomfortable and as soon as I saw the steam I was relieved for you! 😂😂😂 in all seriousness just think about all the storage containers out there rusting away, that could be recycled into a nice living space... with some really nice amenities, such as you’ve shown in the clip... PERFECT!!! Keep your AMAZING and WONDERFUL videos coming!!!! You really have such a great attitude and personality Mike!!!YOU have found your calling doing what few get to do, something they love!!!!
Your hair reminds me of the early 90s. I’m almost ten years older than you so it brings me back to my early teen years. Not that it has anything to do with this video. Just brought back that memory for me haha!
As an architect who sees lots of container houses, this one is really tiny but has everything. They're not the prettiest things in the world but I'm all over this and Squamish next time I'm in BC after the pandemic.
Stunning editing as always. I own a 20' shipping container and have thought about converting it to a mini cabin. I use it as a yard equipment shed right now.
Oh!!Never knew the hat story was so heart touching!!!! You doing a Great Job ..Nice Getaway place from inside but looks a bit scary from outside ... reminding me of the floods which carry away all things jutting out on their way ...... 🎶🎵👌👌 Shower seems to Energize you !! Anyway you look good under it ...😛 So not to worry 👍
Stunning … beautiful views, perfect cabin … absolutely love this video. The addition of the Wirth caps was so moving. Thanks so much for your participation in the cause. Heading over to the website now.
I really don't get the thumbs down on your video, Mike. This was a really cool place. The town was charming and had gorgeous scenery as well; I would love to stay here!
I looked into booking the Airbnb and for two nights the total was $498. I was surprised to see that additional fees added up to $140 dollars. Beautiful spot. Just not willing to pay that much for two nights.
Great tiny container house, and very close to the lake. I hope the shower grey water doesn’t end up in the lake with all that shampoo and soap. Also, a flush toilet which means a septic system or holding tank, I hope the latter.
Gee, maybe a real challenge would be to find a place in Canada that isn't beautiful, Of course I jest there a ugly paces in every country it's just easier to find them in some countries. Hi Nicole, good to see Mike has bought you along on this job, Cheers from Down Under everybody.
Actual tour starts at 2:50 and ends around 7:30. Looking at the structure I wonder why a container is part of this and it wasn't built custom-stick. I'd like this but about 200 sq ft bigger and insulated like crazy because I live in colder parts. Thanks for the video.
Such beautiful scenery and what a cool little container cabin. Enjoy watching your videos, Mike, and moreso impressed that you take the time to actually reply to subscribers. Love it! You are awesome. What microphone do you use? I didn't see it on your gear list. Sounded great. For the short bit you were filming from your phone were you using the built-in mic on that too? Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see your next video.
Thanks Trey! Yeah, I use the built in microphone on my phone, but I went in to the settings and turned off Stereo mode, so it only uses the mic facing me, for better sound. On my big camera, I use the Rode Mic Pro+
Michael how much did you pay for the cabin for the time you were there ? What an awesome place to stay what beautiful scenery and you were so brave to take a shower out in the cold. Thanks for sharing the hat again this is good to help with the awareness.
Really too bad you couldn’t ride the Royal Hudson steam excursion to Squamish for this video (or a separate train video). Loved that summer train excursion when I was young. Discontinued in 1999, I think after 25 years or so. Very sad.

Impressed with how they've used the limited space in that there container.

What a perfect spot to ride out the Covid 19 debacle. Load up on supplies and hunker down until the storm passes. Ahhhh peace and tranquility.

Oscar to Nicole for the great directing on this video 👌
As an Australian it was funny to hear you describe the rocky edge of the water as "the beach"!
Thank You Mike. I started watching a few weeks ago. I like the videos. Keep up the great work.
I like videos about unique places to stay. We have done VRBO's and B&B's all over the world. Keep up good videos.
We went to the Eagle River about twenty years ago, It was so beautiful with salmon spawning. I love BC.
What a nice place. I'll imagine it with green summer foliage all around, for even more sheltered outdoor showering :)
