I would love to be traveling again. However, I’ve got underlying health issues so I have to be smart. I love that your taking these trips with your sister. This is something I would have love to have done with my brother before he passed away. I’m living vicariously through y’all!
Downie you are awesome. Always great energy on your videos. Love to watch and explore new area with you. It’s giving me idea where to go next. Can’t wait for another destination. Be safe!!!!
Mike, You just gave me a great boost. Radium is one of my favorite places in the world. I told you we actually slept outside under a shelter the first time, but subsequent visits we were in hotel/motel on the mountainside looking down at the pools. At this point that has been over 60 years. Having your family along on this journey makes it evident to me why from the first time I watched you I knew you were special. You can see the love.
Hey, love to see you with your sister. I’m 75 lost my sister when she was 21 and I was in Vietnam. Love your whole series especially trains across Canada. Wonderful family,.
I love the mini-golf tradition. Our family has a tradition of always finding a mini-golf place to play any time we go on vacation. Fun, simple times spent together.
Enjoyable and heartwarming because you're including your family and, again, what good sports they are! Excellent camera work which I'm sure is not as easy as it looks! However, that's a tribute to both your creative and technological talents. Another winner, Mike! Keep 'em coming!
I love your videos! I have been to Radium but it was many moons ago when I was a child. As a well seasoned adult I need to go there! You and your family have so much fun and I love it! Thanks for sharing your experiences!
This is so wonderful to see your family spending quality time together during Covid and doing it safely. The scenery is awesome. Thank you for downloading.
Another amazing video, Mike. I also think it is incredible that you can travel with your family right now. Helping educate people how to travel in this brave new world is important, especially for those of us who NEED to travel. Keep the videos coming please. 😁
Well I came in late to the livestream so had to press the replay button, but, hey Mike, you have it much better than we poor folk down in locked-down Melbourne. We were supposed to be set free next weekend, but it looks like an extension is likely. Anyway, whatever happens, it will be great to be able to go for a road trip again, even if some places are closed or there are irksome procedures to go through. You were blessed to find that natural hot spring near the Fairmont (better value than the resort pool) and the family mini-golf was heart warming to watch. The hoops you had to go through to access the hotel pool, gym and restaurant could be tiresome for some people but at least you had access. The world has changed so much and a lot of people have lost their jobs and their sanity. Yes, it is worth checking out the small towns once the opportunity comes. Looking forward to Cranbrook next week as I was there two years ago staying with my friend Kevin in his home on 6th Street South and saw the rail museum adjacent to the resort you stayed at. I bet the old Canadian Sleeper Car will be a great reveal. Thanks again for sharing so much of your lovely homeland and congratulations on the ever expanding subscriber list. I'm sure your channel has put a great deal of hope for a positive future for so many people that follow you and, possibly, has saved a few lives as well. Cheers from Michael.
Trust me when I say this .... these memories you are making now with your family during your “sunny days” will uplift you during your “dark days” when you’re much much older. Cherish them! 😉
Mike, I live in hot springs South Dakota and your springs beat us by temperature and so much more. ❤️❤️❤️ The family traveling together, spending time together which is rare. Thank you for sharing all the fun that you're having. Have a great week
Loved seeing you with your family. We can travel, we just need to travel smart. I wish more places would adopt the “reserve the pool” model you shared. Be safe!
Brought back some great memories for me. I remember climbing up that hill as a very young child to sit in those old hot springs exactly where you were. Was there 4 years ago with my Family from Austria, things have changed but the scenery is still beautiful . Thanks again Mike
I have been watching your channel during COVID and the lockdown up here. It was great to "travel" with you. I like videos like this because I am travelling soon and I am starting to see what I can expect.
June 1, 2020 Left Grand Bend, Ontario with my Teardrop Trailer. Trans Canada highway to Kelowna BC. Stayed at Truckstops & campgrounds as they opened. Perfect time to travel. Arrived home on August 15👍
Hey Mike - watching your travels makes me want to travel to BC again but I will have to wait for the boarders to open. Thanks for sharing all your adventures.
I was in Radium Hot Springs back in January 2020, but the springs were closed because of repairs. But I did swing by Fairmont Hot Springs and soaked in the warm water. The Columbia Valley is such a beautiful place! :)
Excellent video, Michael! Thank you, again. I didn’t enjoy traveling much pre-covid, except by train from Ontario to BC with my own little roomette. Post covid will hopefully find me heading out there in Prestige class! When you were editing this, I’m sure you didn’t intend to make your parents look like little kids, (2:30 & 2:48), but it made me laugh anyway. 😅
When I was a kid we would camp at Redstreek Campground just outside Radium. From the campground you could walk into town or walk along the mountain to the hot springs. Probably some of my favourite memories as a kid.
To travel or not to travel? Definitely travel! There’s so much of this gorgeous place we live in that I haven’t seen yet... and you make it look so fun 👍😊
Great trip, looked like such fun! I wouldn't mind traveling with the restrictions. I think it's quite humbling. We didn't realize how good it was. Looking forward to the future.... and of course your next adventure!
Just discovered your channel and have been watching it as a family. You’ve made us proud of being from BC! Keep up the good work 👍🏿 Also your parents are adorable ❤️
Re travel during pandemic... I am really pleased that you and the service providers are taking the Covid precautions seriously. I hope you and your senior family members stay safe. The video makes me feel better for those that are travelling in Canada. But no, when Covid hit in February, my wife and I took it super seriously and are isolating at home now for 10 months. We are lucky. We have a large pleasant home and the financial means to have anything we want delivered. We are grateful for our situation and know that many others are not in this position. At least we are two less people out there risking the spread so in some small way we are contributing.
Thanks for sharing your adventure during Covid-19...personally, I'm quite secure in traveling in Atlantic Canada. For the most part, we feel the same with respect to eventual travels across the country. Definitely "not ready and insecure" for any types of excursions or travels into the USA...

Another fun video Mike. It really is great that you are able to spend time with your family!! Your recent videos make me think that I need to explore more of my own state of Minnesota here in the US since I am unable to travel out of the country.
I recently started watcing your videos as I want to explore Canada deeply and you provide the type of content I have been looking for! Thank you and btw your dad is the bestest :)!
Awesome videos I been to radium hot springs the hot springs are great I also been to faramount hot springs and Lussier hot springs would recommended all of them but if you don’t like the bad smell go to radium keep up the good videos
I've said it before, but I totally love your adorable, wholesome family. I've started to travel a little bit, just within my state. I live in NY and I still wouldn't go to the city, but being upstate and in the Adirondack region is relatively safe.
Awesome video. It's obvious that this trip's destinations were not pre-determined since you drove a good distance to find a hot springs closed. I appreciate you showing how you missed the sign saying it was closed -- LOL. Thanks for keeping up the great work.
Thanks for this great video. It seems that you 4 have had a lot of fun there and it looks so nice there. I don't want to travel in these times because I belong to the risk group and want to avoid any risk. Stay safe and take care. I am looking forward to the next video

I just discovered you and your videos. I’m loving every video. My plan this summer is to travel to your area. I kind of hope it’s quiet but want things to get back to normal or as close as we can. Anyway love your channel.
I don't mind the masks and basic precautions, but it would be disappointing to find some of the main attractions closed. I guess you'd have to call ahead and plan your trip very carefully. They are finally opening our gyms on Wednesday, yay!!! I love your local videos. Local road trips are something we enjoy and have done the last few summer's. But this year we had to cancel everything.
Sorry to hear that. Just know that it's equal to everyone. While we still went on the road trip, not everything was open, but we made the best of the situation and had a good time as a family.
I’ve been watching a long time and one thing I wanted to mention is how amazing your drone footage is. Always meant to mention that. I know it’s not easy to get great shots
Hello Mike, the travels look great. I like how BC and Alberta has so much for people to do, with in that great area, and lots of great views. Here in Southern Ontario, you have some of the regular spots, but some are major tourist attractions, which bring too many people, and higher chances of contact. I have only started following you recently, but I feel you have a great time, and making these sad times look great is perfect. We sometimes forget the great things in our own backyard. Perhaps that is one thing beneficial from Covid. We are discovering the great things in our own backyards. There are some thermal springs near me at Warm Springs, GA. They are inaccessible to the public. A pool was built atop them when Warm Springs was a resort community in the late 1800's. After President Roosevelt acquired them and the Georgia-Warm Springs Institute was built, the water was diverted there. So I live with a compromised immune system. Outside of my own home and the hospital (I'm ok), I have not been in another building. We did a day trip to Mount Rainier National Park a couple of weeks ago and while I had some anxiety while at a popular/ crowded area known as the Grove of the Patriarchs it was pretty good. I mentioned in my comment last week that your videos have inspired me to venture out a bit more. I'm planning a surprise trip to Olympic National Park for my daughter's 7th Birthday with a 2 night say in an RV via AitBnB. Thanks for the boost in confidence and loved this weeks video as always. You and your family are a bucket of fun Jess jumping around behind you was shoot. Loved the transition from the family jump in the pool to heading out. Sweet edit. Much love as always and can't wait for next weeks video :)
Hi Mike, I have just discovered your videos and I'm loving them! My partner and I live in Australia are thinking of moving to Canada towards the end of 2022 to live in a remote town somewhere in BC. We want to ski, hike, get involved with the local community and just generally experience the best that the rockies have to offer. Any chance you could do a video exploring the pros and cons of different mountain towns around BC to help us pick where to live?! Thanks! Henry :)
Henry, Thanks for the message and I’m happy to hear you’ll be moving to Canada. Sorry, I won’t be able to help you with a series specific to your query.
Knowing that a place I'm going to visit is conscientious about implementing their covid safety plan is the only reason why i would visit during these covid times. Having said that, I'm impressed by Naramata and Penticton, BC in making travel there safe but still very enjoyable.
You have a great family! 💓👍
I would love to be traveling again. However, I’ve got underlying health issues so I have to be smart. I love that your taking these trips with your sister. This is something I would have love to have done with my brother before he passed away. I’m living vicariously through y’all!

i went to the hotsprings there in the winter, and it was awsome!

Been to radium hot spring several times, but first time know this natural hot springs
Barkerville is open but you have to book ahead. And the exhibit displays weren't open but we still spent about 3-4 hours there.
Oh good to know. I looked into going there this summer.
British Columbia on the bucket list of things to see! It looks so beautiful up there!

On the same road not too far past Lussier, you can also find Ram Creek Hot Spring where there are three pools of water with varying temperatures.
Yeah, we read about that, but heard the gravel road got pretty bad, and we didn't have a 4 wheel drive SUV, so we opted to pass and head to Fairmont.

We used to go to Fairmont every year the lil cafe had the best poutine! They also had a small ski hill not sure if it's still open

Any chance you could do a video exploring the pros and cons of different mountain towns around BC to help us pick where to live?!
Thanks!
Henry :)
Henry,
Thanks for the message and I’m happy to hear you’ll be moving to Canada.
Very nice video mike!!
