So for a recreational intermediate player what 100 head size racket would you recommend? This Blade 100 or Head Speed MP or is there something else better in this category?
I love this frame and just bought two. Demo-ed Vcore100, Percept100, Speed100MPLight (potential platform racket) and I liked the Blade100v9 the best. I love the RA 60 soft feel. I added 2.5 grams at noon, O-ring dampener and Wilson over grip. It plays great. Nice power, comfort, stability and control. I liked all the frames but didn't like the feel or control of Vcore100 or Percept100 as much. I liked the Speed100MP-L 2nd best of the 4 frames but felt like the Blade had a better feel at impact and more control. I played many years of 4.5 when younger and am now old guy 4.0 playing singles and doubles leagues. This Blade100v9 kind or reminds me of a 98" head Volkl 10 series before they increased the stiffness. It has that kind of plush feel and controllable power.
@@novak0009 Not on the Blade100v9. I used 3 & 9 in the past on other frames. I prefer noon as it increases power more with less overall weight added. I racket has a low twist weight, I would add lead 3 & 9. Give it a try and see how it goes.
Should just call it something else other than Blade since there is no linages other than the paint job. Like the ultra pro has no similarities to the 100 version.
Demo the light version and it felt like a wood board. Very stable and nice on serves but had very poor maneuverability. Was very surprised I disliked it as much as I did.
The unstrung Blade 100L v9, with unstrung weight of 285g and a stiffness rating of 68-69, could be a better option. If you decide to playtest it, I'd love to hear your feedback!
I just bought the new Blade 100 V9. It's my opinion (since I cannot test it myself) , and the internet supports my opinion, is that it is way stiffer than a 60 RA. More like 68-69. Getting back into the game after 36 years, the mis-hits kill my arm. When I can keep it in the sweet spot it's comfortable.
This guy on the internet doesn't support that view. I find it to be soft and comfortable. I use TF NRG2 16G multifilament mains at 52 lbs and Kirschbaum Max Power 16L poly crosses at 48 lbs. I can feel the flex on impact. The feel was the main reason I bought this frame. The demo of this racket had all multi and it played very soft at mid-tension. You might want to try tweaking your string setup.
@@CJZM7777 I'm definitely keeping it. It's a great racket. I also bought the Clash 100L which is more forgiving with the miss hits until I can get my game back. A bruise formed on my underarm when miss hitting with the Blade. Getting old sucks.
You are right...that stiffness number is way wrong...i felt that in v8 and also v9...actually the whole FortyFive layup technology is weird..when you hit in the middle it flexes but launches ball little further too and in off center hits it just kills your arm...i strung mine with volkl cyclone tour at 54 lbs thinking a softer poly will give me some less pain...but its the racket...stay away from the whole FortyFive layup tech...in V7 the feel flex was very good that's why the blade 104 v7 was so popular...amazing control even with 104 headsize...love that racket a lot...serves are bombs...stay away from FortyFive layup in wilson...TW was saying that feel flex is now called FortyFive layup...ya but you added something you Wilson you...
It's likely the wide angle lens (i'm guessing it's a phone camera). He''s also always pointing his racquet towards the lens and bringing it close when speaking. During the rally, it looks normal.
I have both the V8 and V9 and I so want to like the v9 but I keep going back to the V8. I like the lower swingweight of the V8 and easier maneuverability which suits my forehand better. With the v9 I'm late on my forehand cause of heavier swingweight. I like the whippy feeling I can get with the V8. V9 does provide more power but for me it's less controlled and launch angle is higher. Yes the V8 is lowered powered but I like the fact I can swing faster on it and have confidence the ball will stay in. Hope this helps.
How on earth do you sound slow with 1.75 x
lol I watch him on 1.25x
Join 2x club...he trying to get vids to 10minutes by talking slowmo and repeat everything
Try 2.0 x and would still be surprised!
Scam, you endorsed the pro staff just weeks before. Called you out on it and you deleted my comment lmao

have you tried putting lead at 3 and 9 o'clock?

@@CJZM7777 I have blade 100 v8. I'm not sure how to start with costumized. 12 or 3&9?!
Try not to eat or chew when you do a review Coach Chris
That is a Vcore pro 100 and/or a Percept 100, nothing new.
Sounds like maybe the previous v8 100 bit better?
I prefer the V8 for my game.
Hello Harry! Could you compare this model to the 100 inch V8? What's your opinion? Regards ;)
V9 better go buy

Thank you guys, B98 will be my next purchase
I demoed the V8 and V9. Wasn't expecting a 5mm paint chip from a 2' drop to concrete.
luckily i didnt buy this one. thanks for the review

Which string are you using? What gauge and tension?
Do you never not think about tennis, Harry lol
honest review, anyway I think I'll give it a try: thank you.
How is it possible that the racket looks humungous in youre hands 😂😂 are you that small?

String and tension?
Sounds like a miss. Swingweight too high?
For my game the swingweight is a tad high.
Is it better than the Shift?
Shift is shit, go buy this
