Oh you've gotta be kidding me! This song was my introduction to Ray Stevens
🐿😂
Next song by Ray Steven for Home Free to do is: Everything Is Beautiful.
@@deanmarion5477 and then Dear America. That would be awesome!
@@GreatLakesLogger : yup, with you.
I want to see them do "It's Me Again, Margaret"
Lol!!! I’ve loved this song for years and am so glad to see Home Free do it!! Tim sounds just perfect on this one and so do all the guys backing him up. And the cartoonist did a superb job!🤗❤️🐝
It's my favorite Ray Stevens song! I was wanting them to record it, and they didn't miss a beat.☺️❤
@@deborah3647 They just can’t do a bad song if they wanted to lol🤗❤️🐝
💯 btw, is the choir director supposed to be a Ray Stevens "cartoon cameo"? 😄
So glad they did this classic! And so we'll too! Almost better than the original!!!
O Lord. This is the funniest church revival song I've ever heard. I can't believe these guys actually covered this song. I so want to see this in concert.
I said that as well that the characters looked like the Jetsons. Great cover HomeFree. Laughing at what looks like Austin sleeping thru most of the services. Love those goofy guys.🐿🥰🐿
I thought the little boy looked like Bamm Bamm Rubble from the Flintstones
That was definitely George at the end!!
I got that vibe too along with some Flintstones vibes too.
the lady that got baptized looked like Granny from the Tweety Bird cartoons, the old man at the end was Fred Flintstone aged up
Don't forget the "evil" teacher from "Resces", talkin about her love life.
Tim is perfect for this song! Lovely whistling from Rob, Chance awesome on bass, those high notes from Austin and Rob, and of course the incomparable beatboxing of Adam - what's not to love? Such a fun song/video!
You aren't kidding. These guys are simply the best. We are so blessed that their family shares them with us!
Austin Brown is one of my favorites tenor because he is manliness with his rustic but with his high of the highest notes. Adam Chance ( when Tim Foust take full lead or mini solo) he do the bassline which is impeccable without errors and Rob Lundquit just harmonized with Austin Brown.
I would love to hear 👂🏻 their version of The Streak 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
God will use anyone to accomplish His will - even a squirrel 🤣
Ray Stevens--one of the greatest minds -----Home Free--the greatest Acapella group! Great combo!
What about this: One Love, One Kiss, One Drink, One Song by Chase Rice, we want Adam Chance to take full lead, high harmony by: Austin Brown, Rob Lundquit, Tim Foust will used mixed of chest and growl for the bassline.
One of my favorite Ray Stevens songs. Great to see you all covering it!
This, and "The Ballad of the Blue Cyclone"!
I’d love to hear them do The Streak!
@@thechieflegofanatic9194 I can just hear Chase saying, "Yeah, I did." in that flat, deadpan voice like Ray uses. And Rob whistling that little "Zing!" sound. That'd be hilarious!
Sittin' up with the Dead is still my favorite, but this is second.
@@morrigan908 : collaborate with Voiceplay with that song, because Voiceplay is into Halloween. I have another song in mind: Jerusalem Cry by RandyTravis
EVERYTHING I WANTED IT TO BE AND MORE!!
"We all got re-baptised, wether we needed it or not!"
🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠
they should do a rendition of toby keith's beer for my horses
@Terese Webb Yes! 👍
HELL, YEAH!
or Whiskey Glasses by Morgan Wallen.
@@deanmarion5477 or they could do billy couriton's It Don't Hurt Like It Used To
@@CaptMeg : that right
You guys done Ray Stevens proud!! See you next month in Florida!!
The father at the end was a brown haired George Jetson.
I loved this version. Great job
The Jetsons want their characters back lol
I've been singing this song since I was a kid.
I even change the lyrics to "sitting way back in the very last row, showing him to my good buddy Joe" because that was my best friend's name.
What about this: One of Those Lives by Brad Paisley, we want Adam Chance to take full lead, will used his so smooth that runs dry ( like Tennessee Whiskey) and get really get into this song, mixed of lower and mostly higher register, high harmony by: Rob Lundquit, Austin Brown, Tim Foust will used mixed of chest and chest fry for the bassline.
OMG YESSSSS!!!!! I'm so excited to see how you guys do this song the justice it deserves!!! Thank you in advance!!!
🙌
I love, love, love this song! It’s so hilarious! Tim and Home Free did it fabulously!
I keep going back and listening to it again and again! I love it so much!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The first time I watched this I yelled: Tim and Chris Rupp brought the 🐿 to church! 😂😂 ,It gave me full of cheer, colder weather memory lapse, Home Free history vibes LOL! We can hear us Austin the choir director from across town what the Gospel runs, Hallelujah! 😂😂
"There once was a sailor filled with shame."
😂 I'm dead 😂
I've been waiting not so patiently for the release of this one to the general public since I heard it on Patreon. It just makes me smile and brightens my day. I can't wait to share it.
What about this: Gimme Shelter by Eric Church, we want Rob Lundquit to take full lead, high harmony by: Adam Chance, Austin Brown, Tim Foust will used mixed of chest and chest fry for the bassline.
I am so glad you can support this worthy group as I have only enough money to pay basic internet (I get help in the family for living accommodations).
I thank you and all the rest who can keep this group productive. It is your gifts that I benefit from in my later life. I just wanted you and the others to know I am grateful. May you stay healthy.
This has to be the best cover of a song I have heard in all my many years!!! Spectacular vocals on an amazing song that needed to be brought back for younger generations to enjoy. Very well done. Home Free is, without a doubt, my favorite vocal artists! Thanks Home Free.
What about this: I'll Be Your Everything by Shenandoah, we want Austin Brown to take main lead, will used his robust emotional aspect with mixed of some lower and mostly higher register, collaborate with Maggie Baugh will used on / off mini solo or harmony with the main lead with some lower and mostly higher register, main high harmony by: Adam Chance, Rob Lundquit, Tim Foust will used mixed of chest and growl for the bassline.
Ok, you’re all crazy!🤣🤣🤣
I love how, when the names were being named, Chance and Adam were just over here stunned and horrified, Tim was laughing his ass off, Rob was desperately wishing himself deaf, and Austin was just back here looking impressed.
Yep! Ya'll did Ray Stevens proud! What a trip back in time for me and my dad. Thank you!
I’m already laughing my butt off and I haven’t even listened to the song😂😂😂😂😂😂 this is gonna be so good😂😂😂😂
@Sara Trowbridge 🤣🤣🤣
I fell in love with all 6 members about 2.5 years ago. My son got tickets for the show in Albuquerque on 02/25/23. I'd just celebrated my birthday, 72 years young. I want to let you know your fan's are the best. When the concert was over and people were leaving they blocked people from knocking me over. I'm on O2, and sat in the Mezzanine section for a good view, not realizing there wasn't an elevator. I'm so greatful for the people that protected me.
When they inserted the line "There once was a sailor filled with shame" to the tune of the Wellerman, I went nuts! Lol
Great cover of a Ray Stevens classic! Do more of his!
I grew up in a Baptist church this is awesome I am 60! I remember these days. Thank you all.!
The parents look like George and Jane Jetson, that's awesome!
I used to cry laughing at this song. Ray Stevens is wonderful
Ohmyword- YES! I love this song! Never thought anyone would bring it back to the spotlight! Thank you, Home Free!
They should have left it where they found it and done something worthwhile.
@@patriciamcl54 Boooo.
I am so excited I don't know if I'll get to sleep Ray Stevens is one of my favorite singers and they are definitely my favorite band
@txwarrior66 right??? 😂
Love the nod to Hanna-Barbera cartoons
"Totally nuts" made me laugh harder than it should have
That is so HILARIOUS!! The HOME FREE of years gone by! Love it when Timmy sings these silly songs.....it suits you guys!
Tim laying down more bass goodness with his buddies? HECK YEAH!
A family favourite! Ray Stevens would be proud!
Wow! Half of the Jetsons cast makes an appearance!!!! This must have been the original animation from the 60's!
Oh MAN you guys hit a GRAND SLAM with this one. You definitely did this Ray Stevens Classic justice. The video makes it even better. I would love to see you dona whole album if Ray Stevens covers. Thanks for making my week.
What about this: He Loved Her by Devin Dawson, we want Rob Lundquit to take full lead, will used his half block his nasal cavity with smooth with less energetic with fitness with emotion with mixed of some lower and mostly higher register, high harmony by: Adam Chance, Austin Brown, Tim Foust will used mixed of chest and growl for the bassline.
OMG nostalgia. This is one of my favorite Ray Stevens songs. I also really love the songs The streak, Sitting Up with the Dead, and It's Me Again, Margaret. I watched/listened to those on VHS as a kid.
What about this: Hungover In A Hotel Room by Luke Bryan, we want Adam Chance to take full lead, will used his strong and clear with so smooth with relatable spoken like for his tone, high harmony by: Austin Brown, Rob Lundquit, Tim Foust will used mixed of chest and chest fry for the bassline.
So i reconized chracters from so many cartoons. Granny was Granny from loony toons, Grandpa was the ranger from Yogi, the boy is Bam-bam , Rugrats the twins dad was Harv Newman, the Paster is Ray Stevens Himself. Sister Bertha was the old teacher From Recess, I saw Kimmy from Rugrats as well, AND Mom looks like the cartoon Rep of Bewitched and Dad was George Jetson.
The animation is cute, but am I the only one who wanted to see Rob jumping and shouting "Something's got ahold of me!" 😂 He would have been perfectly over-the-top for that part! ❤
I'm frightened, I'm excited, and I'm ready - let's do this!
Love the Jetsons/Flintstones vibe with the animation!
The cartoon kid's Dad sure looks a lot like George Jetson!
Nice cameo by George and Jane Jetson picking up the kid.
I am sure Ray Steven's blesses you for reviving his Revival of the Miss. Squirrel. Well done guys and the cartoon was great too.
What about this: Still in Love with You by Brook and Dunn, we want Austin Brown to take full lead, will used his less rustic but with much emotion with mixed of some lower and mostly higher register, collaborate with Eil Jacobson from Voiceplay and Mitch Grassi from Penatatonix will used their complex higher harmonic in the middle and close to the end of this song, main high harmony by: Adam Chance and collaborate with JourneyDay, Tim Foust will used mixed of chest and growl with different depth for the bassline.
One of my all time favorite songs… 😱 < the look on my face when this popped up in my notifications 😂
Love the fact that they covered this song done by GEORGIA Legend Ray Stevens! I showed my granddaughter this song (by Ray Stevens) about a year and a half ago. I can't wait to show her this when she wakes up 😂! Thank you and God bless!
Love the cameos of all the old cartoon characters.
Such a nice cover! I loved the additional details offered by the chorus added to the song....lol. I hope Ray Stevens gets in here and puts down his thoughts on it : )
Which makes me think that Home Free should also do a cover of Everything Is Beautiful : )
I am a fan of the original but this will undoubtedly blow it out of the water. Can't wait!!!😂😂🤩🤩🥰🥳
What about this: Where I Come From by Alan Jackson, we want Austin Brown to take full lead, will used a bolt of energy with very robust less on his rustic but with humor ( just right) mixed of some lower and mostly higher register, high harmony by: Adam Chance, Rob Lundquit, Tim Foust will used mixed of grooving and full of energy and every prominent chest and chest fry for the bassline.
My grandpa loved Ray Stevens and this was his favorite one (along with the Pirate one). This brought me to when I was 6 in the fireplace room of the family house. Man lived a hard life but still was able to be goofy with us grandkids. Pouring out an Old Milwaukee while listening to it.
Is that George, Jane and Elroy Jetson? Love it, love it, love it! These guys never, ever disappoint!
Y'all did Ray Stevens proud. Thank you. 👍
Fantastic!!!! I wish there was a love button next to the like button. Like just don't do it justice! Congratulations gentlemen, another winner! P.S. Loved George and Jane Jetson making a cameo appearance.
Yes, and the boy resembled Elroy too.
Once you recognize those two characters you recognize the rest. Once you see them, you can't un-see them.
I believe I saw Mr. Cogsworth as the pastor. Possibly Sister Bertha was the human version of the maid-robot.
IDK who-all else.
Also the old lady from Sylvester and Tweety.
Home Free needs to collaborate with Ray Stevens on more of his classics.
Yay!! YT has the original Ray Stevens MV. Y'all did him proud!
Never heard this song before. Really cute. Can imagine Tim telling this story!!!!❤❤
What about this: Here Comes Love by Eric Paslay, we want Austin Brown to take full lead, will used his partiality block nasal with rustic with less on raspy with mixed of some lower and mostly higher register, collaborate with Scott Hoying from Penatatonix will used his harmonic unison with the lead with lower undertone of 3rd and faint 4th ( that we didn’t hear) high harmony by: Adam Chance, Rob Lundquit, Tim Foust will used mixed of chest and chest fry for the bassline.
Always loved this song that Ray Stevens sung. Y'all did an amazing job with it, too!!
Those cartoon characters... the Jetsons come to mind.
What about this: Wherever You Are Tonight by David Nail, we want Adam Chance to take full lead, will used his pacing of wording with much emotion mixed of some lower and higher register, high harmony by: Austin Brown, Rob Lundquit, Tim Foust will used mixed of chest and growl for the bassline.
I love how the people were all references to old cartoons recess, the Jetsons, ect. That was awesome
I thought that was a really cute story and the vocals as usual were wonderful. I have a squirrel story to tell. We lived in Seattle and had squirrels that would hang from the garage roof by their hind feet, grab our hands and take peanuts out of our hands. My little sister thought they were so cute, she grabbed one by the middle and it turned around and bit me hard! I'm 67 now and still have the scar on my hand. LOL
I bet Ray Stevens loves this!!! Great job guys!!
What about this: Pray My Way Out Of Trouble by Josh Turner with Bobby Osborne, we want Tim Foust as Josh Turner for the main lead, will used his dark mixed of light with less energetic but with less of energetic and more of emotion with mixed of some lower and mostly higher register, as Bobby Osborne by Eil Jacobson from Voiceplay, high harmony by: Austin Brown, Rob Lundquit, Adam Chance will used his low baritone low notes for the bassline.
I hope you guys cover more Ray Stevens hits. This was great ❤
A couple of years ago I suggested they do a medley of Ray’s comedy songs. They do such great medleys. But I would also love to hear them do “Everything is Beautiful” also by Ray. Imagine those beautiful voices doing that song.
@@rebelpearl : you are speaking my language, right there. Home Free will absolutely ace and kill this idea.
Thanks dad for taking a detour with me to the church where this "actually happened" and then to swim where they got baptized. Even the old timers there sensed what was going on and played along.
I suspect the Asbury Revival had something to do with the timing for the release of this Ray Stevens Classic. Great job guys. Be happy, be well, be blessed.
Home Free has an amazing arrangement of this song ! Tim did an excellent job of singing lead ! Rob’s whistling is always amazing! I just listen to the arrangement by HF over and over. I too was thrilled when it was released. I view it on patreon and can’t wait for those not patreon members to get to view it too! TY guys for the awesome cartoon characters in the video! The HF characters were so on point. Loved Tim’s characters. Rob’s character was easily recognizable and Austin’s character 💤 snoring through the service was priceless. Chance and Adam were both very well drawn to fit each of them as well. The church members were awesome! The squirrel 🐿️ was so perfectly incorporated in the story video. However, Tim’s young character ‘s parents were a blast to the past! George Jetson for the Father was spot on. When put together with all the above, the video was perfect! I can’t stop listening to Tim’s lead and the storylines that make the song so perfect
What about this: Might As Well Get Stone by Chris Stapleton, we want Adam Chance to take full lead, will used his control of his rustic gradually with distortion balance with his less on twang but with control force ( just right, for distortion what I say: is at the middle end of this song) mixed some lower and mostly higher register, high harmony by: Austin Brown, Rob Lundquit, Tim Foust will used mixed of chest and growl for the bassline.
Y’all are just so talented! I can’t wait to see what you do with a Ray Stevens classic!
Yeah, perhaps they could do their own cover of Guitarzan or Ahab The Arab
@@karlsmith2570 : or Tip of my Tongue by Kenny Chesney.
My favorite is Would Jesus wear a Rolex
I have too many favorites to choose just one!
One of the greatest comedic minds to ever do it Mr. Ray Stevens. Love it
Don't forget, "I don't like spiders and snakes". The next big hit!!!!
This is a perfect Friday song! I grew up with this song (and the Jetson's and Flintstones) so really appreciated the nods to them also. Love this one so much!!
Rugrats too
This was brilliantly done outstanding Home Free..Way to go with another one hit out of the ballpark...🏡🆓🏡🍟
What about this: Women by florida georgia line, we want Adam Chance to take main lead, will used his rustic and raspy with strong and fitness with less energetic with mixed of some lower and higher register, collaborate with Kevin Oulsa from Penatatonix as Jason Deluro, will used his flamboyant matching with the lead of less energetic but with gentle power of mixed some lower and mostly higher register, high harmony by: Austin Brown, Rob Lundquit, Tim Foust will used mixed of chest and growl with different depth for the bassline.
They even got the animation correct. The back seat looks like the back seat of an old classic car.
The Jetsons went back in time!
Great video with all the characters from the old cartoons. Plus the play on you guys as cartoon characters. Making a sailor blush and Chance's toon is blushing. Just great fun! Thanks guys!!
Well this has got to be the cutest video ever. Good to have a squirrel shake things up a bit. Now I was wondering when you guys could possibly be doing a kids album. After seeing Chance sing “Robin Hood & Little John” a few years back, well guys that would be the coolest thing ever!!! Stay awesome guys!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
What about this: Female by Keith Urban, we want Austin Brown to take full lead, will used his slowed with less energetic but emotional energy with less of rustic and mixed of some lower and mostly higher register, high harmony by: Adam Chance, Rob Lundquit, Tim Foust will used mixed of chest and growl with different depth for the bassline.
@@deanmarion5477 Sounds awesome!

@@deanmarion5477 I hope they do! They’re an awesome bunch of guys 😊
@@vallovesnature8449 : I actually meet them in concert at Cohasset, long ago. Their harmony is fuller sounding that made them have no missing space in their harmony.
This was a fun song, am Norwegian and I've never heard it before 😂
Amazing! I love the old school Hannah Barbara vibe. Dad looks like George Jefferson, the kid looks like Bamm Bamm.... man I'm old.
Glorious! My smile never left my face. And Tim's vocals were perfect! The whole group made life make sense, and sang my blues away! Loved it!!
What about this: What Leaving Looks Like by Randy Houser, we want Tim Foust to take full lead, will used his robust with his rustic and raspy with some lower and mostly higher register ( higher register used: Chest and mixed with his mostly of 4th and some 5th octave with depth of whatever 5th octave ( not much of 5th octave but some) high harmony by: Austin Brown, Rob Lundquit, Adam Chance will used his low baritone low notes for the bassline.
This is going to be fantastic 😂😂😂😂😂
This reminds me of the Ray Stevens Album commercials from when I was a kid! Always laughed at the original & Home Free did a great job!
I love the little Easter Eggs, dad that looks like George Jettson and my favorite, the background singers line to "Wellerman" @2:02. Great job as always!!
I've ALWAYS enjoyed Ray Stevens' songs, and I think HF has chosen one that totally fits their style. Good job, guys!!

I love the cartoon characters you included as your supporting cast! I recognized most of the characters from my childhood and my daughters' childhood.( My, I've watched a lot of cartoons in my life!) Had to wach it a few times to name who everyone was. But who were those hansome chracters trying to stay awake?😉 lol Once again ya'll did a great song and video. ❤
Anyone catch how some of the characters are slightly altered versions of classic cartoon characters?

2:44 Mr. Spacely on the right

Thank you guys for covering this song! I used to watch Ray Stevens’ video of Mississippi Squirrel Revival with my grandma when I was little. Now I get to remember fun memories with her every time I listen to your version of it!
This brings such great memories of listening to Ray Stevens with my dad! He just loved Ray's humor. Made me laugh AND cry.
I can’t believe you did this! Ray Stevens was the soundtrack for family road-trips when I was a kid, so this song has a lot of memories attached to it, for better or worse. Thanks for another great song!

Im very late however i was randomly missing my grandfather that showed me this song and is since passed on and found this. I've always been a decent Home Free fan (im a simp for good basses and Tim is someone i look up to a lot). this was amazing and did the song justice well done all,
I grew up listening to Ray Stevens, got me through some tough times when I was young. Thank you for this, brings back memories. This was a great rendition of this classic. Can't wait to see what you do next.
( perfect setting for this song that I have in mind: old rickey dink raggedy bar that didn’t take care of) what about this: i'm getting stoned by Eric Church, we want Adam Rupp to take full lead, will used two tenor register of: chest belting and mixed ( for his high notes) and very nasally but direct rustic balance of raspy ( not much, just right) collaborate with Lyane Stein from Voiceplay as 2nd beatboxer, high harmony by: Adam Chance, Rob Lundquit, Austin Brown, Tim Foust will used mixed of chest and chest fry
My grandpa showed me this song when I was younger. He just passed just over a month ago, I love this song so much, thank y’all I love y’all’s music.
A Ray Stevens classic turned into a hilarious cartoon with the good ol' Home Free boys givin' it new life once again!
Great job!😄
I love this. I took my children to your Tulsa show on February 28. It was my two youngest first concert ages 7, 8 and 13. Once we got settled into the VRBO for bed.. I received the call no one wants to hear. My husband had passed away. 12:02 am March 1st... We rushed home and I was concerned my littles would associate the concert with their daddy's passing. Well about 15 minutes ago my 13 year old came running out to me... Mom look! This is one of their favorite songs and all 3 were smiling, giggling and singing. Good stuff!!! ❤
So sorry for your loss.😥 HomeFree and HomeFrys here for you. God bless and prayers for your family. 🙏
