It's strange how many times I get drawn to search out these guys just for an uplifting song . And as I work through what playlists I can find I am not disappointed. Tim has an amazing range and boy I never knew a bass could go as low as he has . It's great as a group they compliment each others abilities so well and just blend brilliantly.

I love how they're each dressed at totally different levels of costume, from "Like my ocean-themed T-Shirt?" to "I AM A SERIOUS PIRATE WITH A SWORD, YAR!"

I have no idea how Adam (with help from the others I'm sure) maintained such a crazy good beat throughout that song. And I knew Santiana before, first in French (very watered down IMHO) and then in English, and theirs is the best ever version. Gives me shivers.

Now I'm laying on the floor of my living room with my baby girl and she's smiling while we listen to your songs. i love how in one of the reaction videos I saw, some commented that Adam is like Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid or Zorro,

But when I first saw Chance's pirate get-up, I immediately thought of that guy from one of Capt. Hook's crew in Peter Pan
Chance is dressed in tee shirt and beanie, and thumping the back of his guitar in tribute and in keeping with Nathan Evans' Tik Tok video which started this whole craze a year ago. His choice of clothing was no accident.

Adam's beatboxing was completely insane. He took it to a whole another level. I did not even recognize Austin's voice in this. He went into full stage musical acting mode. Tim was hilarious dressed up as Capt. Jack Sparrow. I wonder what the neighbors thought seeing a pirate outside and it isn't even Halloween? And Rob, he really did a nice twist to his mustache. Overall, it was completely entertaining and the harmonies on point as only HF can do them.
I needed to remind myself that NO there's no percussion, just one very talented guy :)

I wondered why he didn't look to be singing...
The guy may be the best beat boxer in the world. Every thing the do is without instruments. And Adam is the main guy for the instrument sounds (though I think all of them can to some extent). He does an incredible harmonica and can do a full drum set even adding in a DJ mix section. (Check out one of the videos of him playing the drums.)

Not to diminish their voices since being impressed by singing is a baseline for groups like this, but the editing and logistics behind that video were absolutely stellar. They combined some of the most popular sea shanties into one Medley. Beginning a new song was seamless and introduced a different person of the cast as the main singer. At the beginning, they edited together the screens appearing according to the beats.
Jimmy Bates - he's been working as a cameraman and editor with acapella musicians from Peter Hollens to Pentatonix to Home Free for 10 years now, and he's got such a gift for interesting and creative videos with limited resources.
I would have liked to hear Tim on melody for 1 song but it was still fantastic!

Shared the sea shanty medley with 2nd grade and then taught them Santianna and they LOVED IT. Like slamming on the desks, stomping their feet loved it. It's rare that 2nd grade loves anything because they're like, way too cool and mature to like music class and sing and stuff. So thank you!!!" Thought that compliment was worth passing forward! We love you guys!
