    I have this exact car and color. Handles really well and so fun to drive. Sexy styling and sleek lines, you're going to get lots of compliments. People usually comment on the red brake calipers of all things. A word of warning for all you would be owners though: expect some harassment from EVERY Mustang, Challenger, Charger, or Camaro with a loud V8. I do wish Jaguar kept the 550 hp V8 from the '15 model as an option. Infotainment isn't the best but the pros do definitely outnumber the cons.

    Great review. Great car, agree $80k isn't cheap. Its refreshing to see alternatives to BMW, Mercedes, Lexus and the other usual suspects. Seems like the luxury sedan segment is flooded with the usuals, the entire luxury sedan segment could use some stiff competition.

    Great review. l love the Jag, however, I'm not a fan of the rotary knob. Aside from my fear of it somehow breaking since it's mechanical, I think it takes up a lot of space. I think they should use the same gear selector used in the F-type.

    • @gracejackman4178
      @gracejackman4178 5 лет назад +1

      The rotary know will sometimes take its own sweet time in going from drive to reverse. Dangerous. Worst feature by far on an otherwise magical car.

    Excellent review, critical when needed yet diplomatic.
    Design wise, I'd welcome a bit more opulence, especially on the right side of the dashboard. So called "clean designs" are in, but it's not for me. I wouldn't mind more sculpturing and soft plastics replaced by leather. If they can do that right, as well as offering a good ride and handling, then the XF finally can match the 3 Germans in every significant way. But then again, Jaguar could have a policy where they desperately want to stay below the price-point of German competitors.

    • @dickturpin4786
      @dickturpin4786 7 лет назад

      They have to balance with international demands, Europeans generally don't like fussy sculptured dashboards, to them it looks old fashioned.

      That's the top of the range brother with all the full options and performance engine. The base model starts under 50k and if u compare it to a rival Amg or m5 with full options u'll see it's quite cheap. It's cheaper than the direct Mercedes Benz competitor from base to top model.

    They can keep these weak 340 hp to 380 hp Jaguars. I liked the 510 hp older Jaguars. Switching to BMWs. There 2017 cars have 600 hp. I need power and luxury.

    • @pbwmanagement
      @pbwmanagement 7 лет назад +4

      @daAnder71 Exactly, my thoughts to a T.
      A lot of folks drone on about HP when everyday torque is much more useful.
      This is not the car to take to a track, (what normal person even does that?) driving along the interstate at more than 80mph is asking for trouble so why the need for 600 horses.
      Excessive HP and speed means you can pass everything on the freeway except a gas station.

    • @utubeballbag
      @utubeballbag 7 лет назад

      The more powerful xfrs is due out next year - with the supercharged v8 and close to 600hp. standard car model release schedule - weak engines first , meatier engines later
