Pilgrims Fort was one of 13 constructed in an arc around the south and east of London to act as a defense against foreign invasion in the late 19th century. The L-shaped building now acts as an unusual outbuilding for a home in Caterham, U.K., and is used as a gym, though it could also work as a music studio or storage space.
