Broderick used to play at a pub I ran in Footscray. At one of those gigs my brother asked me to ask Brod to play this song. He politely refused, telling me that he no longer performed this song. We were both perplexed at the time. It really is a great song.

I'll never understand why this band wasn't bigger than they were but I guess it was the early '80s & raw talent was becoming less of a requirement for success... And for the record, this song will always get my vote for National Anthem. If you new my Dad, you'd know why.
3 quarter time ads on the video screen VFL park around 1988 will be forever etched in my memory for that. Can't remember what the actual ad was for though lol
