Worlds gone mad can we just divide the work place in 2, HR on the left with all the employers who like to cry and no HR on the right where all the people who have a sense of humour work
I find it disturbing that Mr Wallace is being torn apart while BBC continues to use some filthy mouthed, crude women actresses who get away with embarrassingly suggestive talk. At this rate, you’ll lose all your male actors or public figures for silly indiscretions while half of the women are being victims and too many of them are every bit as inappropriate as the men that are being pilloried. (Yes, of course there are some men who deserve to be in trouble) 😅
I’m just an ordinary woman. I find it wrong that a man, thinks it’s ok to go too far with sexualised jokes . Or make a woman feel uncomfortable. (POWER) When I was a girl if 17 in the 1960 s I started work as a clerk in on office full of men and women. The men thought it was ok to put pornograpic magazines on my desk. I like to think we have come a long way from treating young girls and women in such a manner.
9:10 They're lazy. That's a plaque in the UK. When they get older they continue to be disgustingly lazy. Employers are scared of even touching this subject, let alone sacking them. That's a real pain in workplace when you have to do THEIR job and they still get paid for doing nothing.
The reason why many 18 to 20 years old is that they missed the last most important years at school, because of lockdown and covid, they missed out on getting the careers advice and contacts, those that left school during lockdown couldn't get a job as many companies were shut. If kids don't get a job when they first leave school it becomes harder and harder for them to get into work. Many kids who were doing exams were left to get on with them by themselves and then someone just gave them a mark that they thought they might have achieved. It will not get better because children missed out on 2 years at school and have not been able to catch back up. The job centre needs to run careers advice classed and help 18 to 20 year old to find work instead of just threatening them with sanctions if they don't apply for enough jobs.
When I think of the office banter that we engaged in around 30 years ago I'm glad I'm now retired. I remember one impromptu competition to recall all the euphemisms for those of a certain orientation. And what the dealers used to shout across the dealing rooms, in many city firms, was not for those who took offence easily.
Definitely in this day and age that kind of chat is not appropriate for work, save it for the pub, but I don't think his life should be ruined over it. Blame the BBC and the production company, if that was any other employee they would have been spoken to and if they carried on then they'd be sacked, but as always celebs or "talent" get treated differently from the rest of us. His employeers didn't do anything about it, so it's on them. I'm sure Gregg Wallace is a prat but I kind of feel sorry for him a bit.
Even if the members of the Cabinet are all state educated, they are older men and women who were pupils at a time when perhaps state education hadn't gone through the "all must have prizes" phase, or the "teachers as social workers" phase, or the "rainbow ideology" phase or the "critical race theory" phase. Plus, not all state schools are equal. They should be but the unhappy fact is that some are better than others. If any of those Cabinet ministers are sending their kids to a failing school or have done so, then fair enough, but I bet that, like Emily Thornberry, they've made sure their children go to the best, even if it means travelling 13 miles outside of their catchment area as her daughter did when she attended Dame Alice Owens school.
18 to 25 year old Cohorts... Just wait for the next 3 years that come out of schools... They are absolutely mad.. There is zero education, zero discipline.. The next 3 years is going to get worse. As a person that works in school with emotional problems due to the way children talk and challenge you.
Our first jobs are so important to go out and maintain ourselves. Even in schools we say you have to work at what you like what you want to do. No. You just have to work. It’s hard but it’s harder to develop that anti work inner laziness and end up not fulfilled not happy and in trouble
Bev Turner and this Alex are not normally women I disagree with. But on this topic, they are on the wrong side of this story. There is way more to this than they are reporting but instead choose click bait to get their ratings up. Such a shame. They have such a platform to promote good and moral values.
Having watched the part about eating the tart? it was the cook that actually turned it into something else, you only have to look at the dismay on the face os Wallace and Torode. Now admittedly I only warched one episode. My own dealings with women over the years has convinced me that there is no difference between parties until one or have no comeback so get all stirred up and call for blood. I remember a story at the start of feminist movement. I'll prpbably get shot down this but what goes round comes around. Fifty thousand women stood up and, screamed we will not be dictated to, and promptly became secretaries ?

If you were a member of the crew, and complained you would have been sacked
And you make this statement with what evidence ?
At 70 starmer called me a rightwing extremist racist thug,is that worse than women being subject to suggestive ineundos ?
Lol, not really the same thing.
What did you do to be called a thug?
@sbor2020 I went to London on a march in july
I agree worry about the one million who have come in th3 past year. Why didn't these so called strong women not take him to task there and then????????. Well said Brendan spot on.
One woman said she was left in tears after he said she had great legs. Silly girl. Grt over yourself.
Jag might sell one of those. It could be that some pissed millionaire sees one in the showroom after a night out and decides to buy, I don't really think anyone could get that pissed though.
Worlds gone mad can we just divide the work place in 2, HR on the left with all the employers who like to cry and no HR on the right where all the people who have a sense of humour work
Witchhunt!!!
So, men using women's spaces with laws being introduced to support the behaviour is now okay or no longer an issue then.
Distraction from awful labour.
Defund the bbc more importantly
Brendan, you said 'it's been blown all out of proportion'.. i am suing
hahahahahahahaa
Why didn't the women just tell him to sod off and stop being a prick.
I’m just an ordinary woman. I find it wrong that a man, thinks it’s ok to go too far with sexualised jokes . Or make a woman feel uncomfortable. (POWER)
When I was a girl if 17 in the 1960 s I started work as a clerk in on office full of men and women. The men thought it was ok to put pornograpic magazines on my desk. I like to think we have come a long way from treating young girls and women in such a manner.
Ok
Thing is he was told off by BBC about his behaviour and since i think he has been better behaved. i.e. learned from his mistakes
The Jaguar issue is genius!
The amount of exposure they are gretting is huge!! "Free advertising."
Maybe, but will the car be bought?
Definitely in this day and age that kind of chat is not appropriate for work, save it for the pub, but I don't think his life should be ruined over it. Blame the BBC and the production company, if that was any other employee they would have been spoken to and if they carried on then they'd be sacked, but as always celebs or "talent" get treated differently from the rest of us. His employeers didn't do anything about it, so it's on them. I'm sure Gregg Wallace is a prat but I kind of feel sorry for him a bit.
Try fitting the Tyres on that thing.
100% Alex ...
bbc cover up
Way over the top ! I do not like Gregg Wallace - but I reckon all this nonsense is total rubbish !
I quite a gree.
Was that the the new car for Parker to drive lady Penelope in the thunder birds
Did he just say we shouldn't mention age because its sexist? 😂
Dont look at me ....look over there. funny how this goes public now. `MPs back proposals to legalise assisted dying Bill`
He’s dropped a few inappropriate jokes. He’s been just that inappropriate
Brendan O
Most Sane Man on the
Airways
More of Brendan ✌️❤️
Looking at E bikes last week pays to buy a good one
18 to 25 year old Cohorts... Just wait for the next 3 years that come out of schools... They are absolutely mad.. There is zero education, zero discipline..
The next 3 years is going to get worse.
As a person that works in school with emotional problems due to the way children talk and challenge you.
Our first jobs are so important to go out and maintain ourselves. Even in schools we say you have to work at what you like what you want to do. No. You just have to work. It’s hard but it’s harder to develop that anti work inner laziness and end up not fulfilled not happy and in trouble
Will comedians , male or female now be banned ?
Bev Turner and this Alex are not normally women I disagree with. But on this topic, they are on the wrong side of this story. There is way more to this than they are reporting but instead choose click bait to get their ratings up. Such a shame. They have such a platform to promote good and moral values.
Lets face it we know what his replacement will look like
People nowadays must faint watching a carry on film.
The mistake he made was he said what he was thinking 😇
Please ban Masterchef forever for its blandness!
Blah blah blah grow a spine. Ooh Greg Wallace made a rude joke.🤦♂️😭😂
Fifty thousand women stood up and,
screamed we will not be dictated to,
and promptly became secretaries ?
So Alex is ok with Greg making misogynistic comments but Alex is horrified by migrants whistling to her in the street.
Both are bad, Alex needs to make her mind up if sexual harassment is ok or not.
I don't remember this level of outrage regarding Huw Edwards or towards the grooming gangs.
Every headline cleared, all the airways broadcasting, what's the emergency ? A retired greengrocer who is a bit of a "geezer" upset someone with his Benny Hill/ Bernard Manning out of date tribute act.
A distraction from the real problems
I think Alex deserves better clothing style. She has proven her good skills and seems dedicated.
