If someone says something you don’t like, deal with it there and then, either laugh it off or tell the person to do one, as this is not appropriate. why is it always years later 🙄
I am sure you know this but your generalisation doesn't allow you to see it. The vast majority of cases like this are done by older, more powerful men towards young women with very little power. That is why these women don't say anything then.
What has Starmer got to do with it? He's hardly qualified to comment on anything. As for inapropriate comments in a working environment, perhaps deal with it at the time, not wait until a media feeding frenzy years later. I worked in an environment years ago and many comments were made that would be considered rude, but it was treated as a joke or just ignored. Many people now are so quick to take offense or be insulted, what has happened to tolerance and a general sense of humour.
To take Masterchef off the air seems a bit unfair to the contestants who are, after all the main source source of interest. Gregg seems a very immature man but he shouldn’t use his power to intimidate.
Greg Wallis might not be perfect, who is? He might have a 70s sence of humour. But he has always come over as kind, funny and caring on screen. I don't know him, but the way you deal with an inappropriate joke or comment as an adult, is to just say up front and nicely, you didn't find it appropriate. You don't let it fester for years on end and demonise the person when this stuff comes to light. From what I can gather he's just a bit inappropriate. I have worked with plenty of people like this including women. Unless the guy bullies, threatens or puts his hands on you inappropriately, just let them know and they should respect that. Could have solved a lot of the problems. Now hes probably suffering far worse than any of these 'victims'. Some people just don't realise and would be humiliated to find out they had caused any anguish. Let's be sensible, the woke are getting out of hand too.
I know alot has been going on in the world, but this just tops everything. Its incredible. Starmer must make a national address about this, for the people of the UK, and of the world
Well clearly they can take it, and did take it. But why should they have to? At end of the day he made creepy sexually inappropriate comments, and felt women should put up with it. He now has to put up with the clap back. Fair is fair
"The kind of comments you expect, as a woman, walking past a building site" Outrageous, all builders sue her NOW 🙈 Still, I returned to appear on the show 6 times even though I was traumatised and devastated.. Why ? I'm a hypocrite..🙄
god forbid get a life theres so much more can happen in life than someone saying something you do not like or we are all in trouble not everyone in life will like you or always say nice things to you get over it
It's not about "someone saying something you do not like", it's about what people should be able to expect in professional work environments. And let's not pretend that only men are inappropriate in the workplace, and that only men abuse their power in the workplace, but the reality is that -- generally speaking -- males and females relate differently to one another. What can seem like relatively harmless "banter" between men or from a woman to a man can be experienced as more more intimidating when communicated by a male to a female, and on top of that you introduce age differences, professional power dynamics. People have to work, and most people are doing the jobs they do for entirely extrinsic reasons, just to earn money and kee their heads above water. Work is more insecure than it has been in generations. People are more in debt than they've ever been. They should be able to do the jobs they have no choice but to surrender huge swathes of their lives to with the expectation that they will not be insulted, humiliatd, sexually intimidated or predatd upon. We have -- and NEED -- different standards for professional work environments. That people think you should be able to rock up and say and do whatever you FEEL like doing in your job, irrespective of how it affects those around you, is INSANE to me. It's entitled narcissism.
This is a lot of Guff, Honestly people back then were not woke so why now, sometimes banter is just what it is. I’m sorry I think these people are just being a bit prudent, I’d imagine take it as compliment or insult and just move on instead of making major drama out of it , I enjoyed a wolf whistle now and again
Isn't it strange that this lady STILL hasn't told us exactly what he is alleged to have said. All she said is that "if someone comments on your skirt or legs", so was it actually offensive or was she just particularly sensitive? It's also strange that not ONE other person was "offended" by whatever was said? Surely, IF this was so upsetting to this lady, why did she keep going back?
For goodness sake - compared with Betty Boothroyde (who was leader of the house of commons) you deal with these situations Women wanted equality so deal with it. I am 80 years old and have had to deal with all sorts I worry about the women of today !
This is about the abuse of power and disrespect for those around him. All he needed to do was apologies, but he seems to have missed the point entirely.
If many of the alleged offensive remarks happened in the studio then there should be recorded evidence to back this up. Meanwhile there is no place for trial by media. Allow the appropriate processes to be conducted before destroying someone's livelihood and reputation.
I don't want to make this about Gordon Ramsay but he's made a career out of verbally abusing people in his kitchens. Aldo Zilli says in this interview that people in kitchens should be treated with respect, meanwhile Ramsay's shows are "brutal" and are broadcast daily. I think if your boss behaved the way Ramsay does, but in an ordinary work environment, he'd be in big trouble.
Give an example of his comments and sorry love your not middle class your Working class . Nothing wrong with working class but your not middle class my love . Its strange how these women cant give a single example
Greg Wallace is the victim here it's just banter people are taking things out of context why stereo type and say building site you can just banter anywhere what is with the world
Comments were made when she was a contestant, so she then became a judge on the show??!!! 🤔 And, Zilli didn’t say that Gregg always took his jokes too far!!
Sorry for this lady. I’ve been victim of & witnessed abuse, spoke up when a male nurse ran his hand up a young girls skirt laughing & making lewd comments. Others laughed, I went to management was vilified & left
I am sorry to hear about this and I am glad that you had the courage to stand up and do something about this sort of abuse. All these people who say about Greg Wallace: "It was just a joke, just a bit of banter, get over it"....can you imagine how angry they would be if a man started talking like this to their girlfriend, wife, sister, etc. They would see red immediately. Yet they condone his behaviour when it doesn't affect them.
Firstly, “sorry if I caused offence” line is a typical non-apology from someone with zero self awareness or lawyering up. Secondly, absolute goose the PM for getting involved. Thirdly, those vociferously defending goose Wallace, well it makes you think what their behaviour or carry on is in their workplaces.

I, like most women, can see off MCPs but why should we constantly have to? It’s stressful to have to tell off an adult in public.
I am sure you know this but your generalisation doesn't allow you to see it.
The vast majority of cases like this are done by older, more powerful men towards young women with very little power. That is why these women don't say anything then.
he has also said that some women have also made the same kind of remarks so investigate that also but they will not will they @@moj1338
@@moj1338- What? NEWS NIGHT presenter Kirsty Wark could not tell him to his face?
@Lizzy1ES - Are you constantly having to tell people off though?
What has Starmer got to do with it? He's hardly qualified to comment on anything.
As for inapropriate comments in a working environment, perhaps deal with it at the time, not wait until a media feeding frenzy years later.
I worked in an environment years ago and many comments were made that would be considered rude, but it was treated as a joke or just ignored.
Many people now are so quick to take offense or be insulted, what has happened to tolerance and a general sense of humour.
Maybe all humans should just stop speaking to each other altogether. Someone 14 years later might take offence.
Spot on.
To take Masterchef off the air seems a bit unfair to the contestants who are, after all the main source source of interest. Gregg seems a very immature man but he shouldn’t use his power to intimidate.
Non story that's hyped up to distract people from looking at more important events.
Starmer offends me
Snowflake.
I was agreeing with everything you said until the “woke” reference 🙄
How do you say that to someone who can end your career?
It's pathetic..
I know alot has been going on in the world, but this just tops everything. Its incredible. Starmer must make a national address about this, for the people of the UK, and of the world
Gaza, ukraine, grooming gangs, isis nope hurty jokes 15 years ago
Bring back ‘Carry On’ Greg Wallace would make Sid James look progressive 😂😂
So she felt uncomfortable but returned six times,is this typical of a middle class woman of a certain age?🤔
I find it offensive that people seem to think woman are these weak feeble things that can't take a rude comment or a bit of banter
Why ? I'm a hypocrite..🙄
no it should not be taken off air and he is innocent until proven guilty and what did he do and say and why did he leave
god forbid get a life theres so much more can happen in life than someone saying something you do not like or we are all in trouble not everyone in life will like you or always say nice things to you get over it
It's not about "someone saying something you do not like", it's about what people should be able to expect in professional work environments.
Did no one actually hear what he said to this woman ?
She was so upset she returned 6 times .😅😅😅😅
Truly shocking how these women try desperatly to keep themselves relervant
Hmm, who next? Gorden Ramsey, bet he's made a few people cry.
Jacky Kearney is getting stick because she has jumped on a bandwagon with nothing to say.Not a single example of what made her cry
The show should not be taken down.
Because of one person's bad actions.
For goodness sake - compared with Betty Boothroyde (who was leader of the house of commons) you deal with these situations Women wanted equality so deal with it. I am 80 years old and have had to deal with all sorts I worry about the women of today !
Why do people wait so long to say something 🤣
I'd imagine they feel very small next to a celebrity and won't be believed.
Not really, the first allegations were made in 2012.
Itslaylapays, because he didn't have so much money before
Juniors frightened of losing their job.
This is about the abuse of power and disrespect for those around him. All he needed to do was apologies, but he seems to have missed the point entirely.
Exactly!!
Yes
Yep. Not surprising for the BBC though.
Hysterical nonsense. We need more banter and jokes in this joyless society.
But he doesn't believe he's done anything wrong. He thinks he's been wronged.
If many of the alleged offensive remarks happened in the studio then there should be recorded evidence to back this up. Meanwhile there is no place for trial by media. Allow the appropriate processes to be conducted before destroying someone's livelihood and reputation.
She should be so lucky!!!!!!!
Don't forget Lorraine kelly making pete wicks feel uncomfortable when she flirted with him
Meanwhile, in other parts of the world.....
Give an example of his comments and sorry love your not middle class your
Working class .
Nothing wrong with working class but your not middle class my love .
Its strange how these women cant give a single example
The guest judge was offended and upset but returned six times LOL.
So much BS in this
Greg Wallace is the victim here it's just banter people are taking things out of context why stereo type and say building site you can just banter anywhere what is with the world
Comments were made when she was a contestant, so she then became a judge on the show??!!! 🤔
And, Zilli didn’t say that Gregg always took his jokes too far!!
Nothing wrong with people flirting
There isn’t but this isn’t that.
There isn’t but this isn’t flirting-it’s lechery. Quite different.
100%!
The Production Company should be hauled up in front of the Culture and Media Secretary and the BBC. The original programme was devised by the talented Frank Roddam. It's been sold on to Stephane Courbit's banijay who is a media baron with no quality television to his name. The Content executive and Legal officer are token UK input who fail on this and Ramsay's approach as highly paid presenters. The tragedy of out-sourcing 'popular' television.
Funny they never discussed should this morning be taken off the air after scholfield
If u can't take criticism don't go on a cooking show u are going to get judged on your cooking and your time keeping don't see any of these females giving back there fees they got paid to appear on the show why has it took 17 years to come out let the BBC and the production company deal with it instead of endless debate and being found guilty without a trial
People are forgetting ,its not only words, he also is supposed to have brushed himself up against women.
He shouldnt have apologise. I wouldnt have. Theyve picked him out for some reason. So petty you women are.
So now we find out that a month ago, he declared he was going to investigate that chemical bovine additive, the one that nobody wants to consume in their milk, butter, cheese and chocolates. Is that why "they" are out to destroy him? Where big money is concerned in the food industry, they cannot afford to have someone like him, with a large following and long media track record, speaking out against Big Farmer Harmer...
Let's all be robots, be perfect and programmable and a herd mentally. Being human apparently these days is so distasteful because we have opinions, we are individual, we want to express ourselves, and God help us if we make a mistake
No, just don’t make people feel uncomfortable. Especially if you don’t know them. My industry is 98% women and it’s not difficult.
@CrueLoaf but thats what I mean, being uncomfortable is subjective, it's a potential no win situation, that now seems to turn into trigger happy witch hunt
and no one says anything that upsets someone yeah right @@CrueLoaf
@ yeah and it gets dealt with. However, if it continues and it’s clearly coming from one individual then they are shown the door. It you want a content and efficient team!
@ this is why guys need to learn body language. It’s not hard. Most guys can tell when a woman is uncomfortable. Unless of course, they enjoy that power?
After she "went to the toilets and had a bit of a cry" she returned 6 times, someone wants a payday I think
Time of the month
It's gotta be a scam
Im not suprised she has had abuse her reputation is now on tatters .
Not a single example
She was in the toilets crying 😂😂😂😂😂
I know 🙄 She's a grown woman, ffs.
So next week I wonder who they will be trying to destroy? Ramsey? Graham Norton?
Those on This Morning are so perfect. The way they have mocked Charlotte Church during and after her appearance. She was showing her passion for something and one of their presenters giggled at her throughout. And then a guest that was reviewing the days news continued to mock her a few days later. They are all so perfect.
Another one... among the so many scandals of this nature at the Beebs!!
The BBC should be shut down!!
The BBC tax, aka licence fee, can be put to so many better uses!! There's no need for any inheritance tax!!
Pity!
Shows how afraid women were to speak out the bullying still goes on I think there are more people I prominent positions who have not been called out .
Why didn’t she complain at the time. Once one does it, then others appear from nowhere not sure who the ladie was, but she looks A real Karen 😊

So the women who did complain & were ignored - are you going to blame them as well? The reason people don't complain is that they are often blamed & ignored just as the BBC has done time & time again.
@@jayWalk8 but that women said she found him creepy then returned another 5 times, why did she go back
Because she was building her career and she shouldn’t have to let a creepy misogynist make her lose out on a good opportunity. She dealt with it, but she shouldnt have had to put up with it.
I love Masterchef I don’t think it should be taken off air! Just Wallace’s behaviour needs corrected if he’s going to stay. Otherwise Jon can have a new Co-host
Kier Starmer should be getting on with sorting the country out- this is madness-
Oh my lord. Give me strength 🙄
It simply should not be happening
Nick Ferrari is always on the wrong side of the right things.
Your not middle class your a grandma 100%
Those two things aren’t mutually exclusive ?
This really isn’t that bad, what next, people complaining that Nigella Lawson is rude and Gordon Ramsay is sweary. I thought we were getting real, the world is becoming too sterile.
This woman sounds more annoyed he didn't pay her more attention
