Greg Wallis might not be perfect, who is? He might have a 70s sence of humour. But he has always come over as kind, funny and caring on screen. I don't know him, but the way you deal with an inappropriate joke or comment as an adult, is to just say up front and nicely, you didn't find it appropriate. You don't let it fester for years on end and demonise the person when this stuff comes to light. From what I can gather he's just a bit inappropriate. I have worked with plenty of people like this including women. Unless the guy bullies, threatens or puts his hands on you inappropriately, just let them know and they should respect that. Could have solved a lot of the problems. Now hes probably suffering far worse than any of these 'victims'.

    • @onepartyroule

It's not about "someone saying something you do not like", it's about what people should be able to expect in professional work environments.
And let's not pretend that only men are inappropriate in the workplace, and that only men abuse their power in the workplace, but the reality is that -- generally speaking -- males and females relate differently to one another. What can seem like relatively harmless "banter" between men or from a woman to a man can be experienced as more more intimidating when communicated by a male to a female, and on top of that you introduce age differences, professional power dynamics. People have to work, and most people are doing the jobs they do for entirely extrinsic reasons, just to earn money and kee their heads above water. Work is more insecure than it has been in generations. People are more in debt than they've ever been. They should be able to do the jobs they have no choice but to surrender huge swathes of their lives to with the expectation that they will not be insulted, humiliatd, sexually intimidated or predatd upon.
We have -- and NEED -- different standards for professional work environments. That people think you should be able to rock up and say and do whatever you FEEL like doing in your job, irrespective of how it affects those around you, is INSANE to me. It's entitled narcissism.
