5 stars on all your reloading vids, really good stuff. I started setting up my 550B this weekend your videos provided a lot of clarity that the instructions don't.
You are a genius. The manual is a very bad joke and mine came partly assembled (???) which of course turns the entire process into something like a crossword puzzle. Your videos were the solution. So thank you.
great vid. thanks alot..recommend telling people to use a used cartridge with used primmer to get powder amount. This will eliminate the accidental discharge of a primer in case of a brain fart
RCBS is never clear on this; I bought the 3 die set and I have the seating and the crimping dies. What I can find online is that if the bullet is not cannelured, then I do not need to use the crimping die, I should just seat. Is this correct?
Now that I look at RCBS' directions again, they call them seating and expanding dies. They differ from your dies so maybe I should be using the expander to bell the case and not the powder measure. That would mean that the bullet would get seated at station 4, somehow I don't think I will sleep that well tonight. Damn early christmas presents.
Yes. Do not crimp a bullet that does not have a groove. What can happen is that you'll get a separation between the core and the jacket. How do I know this? My gunsmith (45 years at it) told me so. I trust him: At one time, his rifles held six simultaneous world records. Heap big medicine, yes...
