  • In this video, we share the linen backing and restoration processes being performed on a "Coney Island" 6 sheet movie poster.
    Coney Island:
The 1943 film "Coney Island," directed by Walter Lang, is a vibrant Technicolor musical that captures the lively atmosphere of the famous amusement park in the early 20th century. Starring Betty Grable as Kate Farley, a spirited entertainer, and George Montgomery as Eddie Johnson, the film follows their romantic entanglements and rivalries amidst the bustling attractions of Coney Island. The film's lavish musical numbers, colorful costumes, and nostalgic depiction of the amusement park make it a charming and entertaining tribute to a bygone era. "Coney Island" remains culturally significant for its portrayal of American entertainment history and its reflection of wartime America's longing for escapism and joy.

I've got my eyes on an original Jaws 3D theatrical poster from 1983. If I get it, I'm sending it to you to be cleaned, flattened and linen backed so I can frame it.
Not a great movie but significant to me. First R movie I ever saw in the theater (at only 7 years old) and the first time I saw a movie in 3D.

A 6-SHEET!!??? Wow, what an undertaking. Beautiful job, as always. Great to know you can handle restoration jobs of this epic size. How about a 24-Sheet? 😂

Is it weird that I would have kept the panels separated slightly on the same backing. I think it looks interesting seeing the separated panels.
