Wonderful lesson. Thanks Ryan for helping me understand the distinction. To quote BKS Iyengar "Through surrender the aspirant’s ego is effaced, and…grace…pours down upon him like a torrential rain."
Great video Ryan! Thank You. Now that you're talking about willpower, can I ask you something how would you handle willpower during meditation? I know it's a beginners question, but I've gotten some really good 'results' in the past, but now I find myself clinging to those experiences and trying to 'force' myself while meditating to get a certain 'result'. I'm aware of that and I know that I should let go and surrender, but I just don't seem to be able to do so, I know it sounds strange, but I can't stop trying to get somethings out of it, even if I want to surrender there still is that subconscious thought that I have to surrender BECAUSE I want somethings, therefore I'm not surrendering fully. I know the theory but I don't seem to be able to apply it. I'm sorry if this is too much to answer, I would just appreciate if someone who might have experienced something similar could share some insight with me. Thanks.
Yes, eventually you'll get over it. Just keep trying until you realize its pointless to do anything else other than simply stay awake and alert yet relaxed and free of conceptualization.
Ryan Kurczak So you mean it will happen eventually by itself? I will keep trying, quitting is not an option for me, not after already getting a glimpse of what the natural state of a healthy human mind feels like. But that's exactly what makes it so hard. When I started meditating I had no idea what would await me, no expectations, so it just kinda happened effortlessly. But now I do know what life could be like when I'm in my centre, so now I have a 'goal' and something to compare my state of mind to... And now I'm stuck. But thanks anyway, I'll hang in there, keep cultivating awareness and stay present with whatever arises.
God grant me the serenity to accept the things that I cannot Change the courage to change the things That I can and the wisdom to know the difference
That's it.
Thank you

Ryan Kurczak Thanks for your reply! I guess there is nothing else I can do then...
Except, keep at it, until you have it self-revealed. You'll get it.

See the chapters on Contemplation in the book Kriya Yoga Vichara. That will help help get you rolling in an appreciable fashion.
just a short question; If there is no time in the afterlife, can someone be re-incarnated to a previous earth time?
sure
