- In today's mario evolution of the enemy/character series we are going to look at the origin, secrets, timeline, story, lore, mysteries and history of roy koopa, one of the koopalings that follows bowser and bowser jr. when they want to kidnap peach and take over the mushroom kingdom. This little helper has been seen in games like Super Mario World, New Super Mario Bros Wii, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Paper Mario: Color Splash, super smash bros wii u and 3ds, new super mario bros 2, new super mario bros u and many more. Sadly enough no in the new super mario odyssey for the nintendo switch. She has made many toads sad, caused mario and luigi harm and even worked together with kamek who gave her a power up. She is part of a group called the koopalings, the other members are, Larry, Ludwig Von Koopa, morton koopa jr, Iggy, wendy o koopa, and Lemmy. Now let's see how he changed over the years!

I'd love to see the Koopalings more within the Mario franchise. They have the potential grow personality and gameplay wise. We don't know much about them. I mean, Pauline *almost* more character development than the Koopalings. ((I'm not complaining, however. Pauline is great.)) It upsets me that Nintendo created such intriguing characters only to feature them in so few games.

Roy's boss battle in Wiii u could have worked. All that needed to happen when he was in his shell was to bounce on top of the platforms but they dissipeared. His battle in wii u also should have had top and bottom pipes. In fact the hole battle ground should have had pipes everywhere on the sides, on the celling, and on the bottom. Then he could go through them and you can't predict which one he'd go through. He still has the bullet blaster and the platforms but this time there are pipes everywhere.

roy is one of my favourite mario characters because i love the idea of this big scary brute character with a pink shell and those flamboyant ass sunglasses. especially in the early days its suprisingly... like.. progressive i guess?
I've played NSMBU three times and never once saw Roy do an attack. He was that easy.

If they simply gave the Koopalings helmets or something, and require you to damage them in unique ways, they could use the fights to their full potential, but no. I'm not even kidding, sometimes I wait a few seconds after they're done spinning in their shell, and THEN jump on their head as a way to try and make the fights more fun, and I also do this with Boom-Boom, but it just doesn't really work.
