Great review, but you and others have been saying the same thing: that the largest wrist size this watch will fit is 7.5 inches. After much reading, I bought it anyway, knowing I have 8.5-inch wrists. Well I can tell you this fits PERFECTLY on my wrist. The bracelet is approx 7.5 inches; factor in the case and it is perfect for me. Also, the satellite thing is a little disappointing but it isn’t that deep. I bought the app and was able to sync it within 10 min or so. Lastly, this IS the perfect watch! It literally checks ALL the boxes!
It's very similar to my Casio Oceanus. Titanium, Solar with atomic time, world time, perpetual calendar . The ultimate zero maintenance timepiece. Fantastic piece sir. Thanks for sharing it
Thanks! I’d also like to know what model Oceanus you’ve got so I can check it out. The only reason I didn’t go for an Oceanus was that they don’t seem to have a day date window like on this model :(
@@simonthewatchguy6073 Mine is the OCW-S100-1AJF. You're correct, the Oceanus tend to be Date Only The Eco Drives are amazing watches.. Citizen is a very underrated brand.
@@bogrot69 Only thing that stops me getting an S100 is the casio proprietary bracelet fitting. I really want to be able to put a strap on. I might look at one of these instead.
@@chrisoakley5848 Yes, I can understand that Chris. I'm a bracelet guy so it doesn't really bother me but I can see that being a turn off for a lot of people.
I'd had my eye on one of these about 5 years ago, and finally got one a couple of years ago, from a dealer in Lancashire for £294 including postage! Perfection in a watch!! Also, they are quite easy to manually adjust. Mine only gains TWO seconds per Month anyway.
Deployant is the proper term, the word comes from the French language. The clasp was developed in 1910 by Louis Cartier and the term "déployant" means to unfold.
I once had Seiko Prospex PADI Solar Titanium and I was blown away by its weight, and yes, I unfortunately made it run outta battery (it was pre-owned anyway) so I fortunate to witness "2-second running". I like that thing but it wasn't so me at all, so I let sold it and buy Promaster GMT instead, and this watch somehow reminds me of that PADI Titanium. But it was a good experience, for real.
I've been nearly pulling the trigger on the Promaster Land for a while now. I love the tech. I just wish Citizen would refine their designs a little bit more. Maybe less text on the dial, slightly smaller numerals (or no numerals), etc. A beater doesn't have to look like a beater.
Pretty sure it's a screw on back. Just got the green one and trying to sync with the jjy app. Edit. Got it to sync. Using the phone speaker the second would go to H and then after 2 minutes advance the hour.and minute to keep im guessing the previous (already pretty good) time and the second hand went back to H. I put headphones 🎧 around it and walked away, came back and it was synced and keeping perfect time 🤸🤸🤸. I'm pretty sure I have a 180mm (7 inch) wrist and the bracelet on minimum fine adjustment adjustment i really struggle to get it over my hand yet it's a little loose for my liking. I might be able to change out a link to make it overall shorter, adjust it to max to get it on and then adjust back to minimum. Or learn to put up with it the way it is.
I consider the Japan-only radio reception to be a PRO rather than a CON. Citizen has the unfortunate habit of making radio-controlled watches where one can't turn the #@&%$ radio OFF! I've never had a radio-controlled watch or clock that hasn't at some point gotten confused during the night, and decides that it's in another time zone or that DST has begun --- when it hasn't. I MUCH prefer to leave such a "feature" OFF, and only sync occasionally on-demand when needed. Having Japan-only reception, when one is thousands of miles away from Japan, gives me more piece of mind. I can always fire up the phone app whenever I'm a few seconds off.
i have a problem about firsthand not hitting mark perfectly when time is at 12:00, I try to adjust the basic position but it not work, how can I fix it or not?
Yes you’ll need to use the app at least once per month to keep it accurate to the second. But if you really wanted you could use the app only when the clocks go forward or backwards.
Been wanting to get this model for at least 2 years. I usually wear my watches on NATOs and was wondering if its a tight fit getting NATOs between the lugs ? I have a few watches where the tight gap between case and lugs caused fraying on the edges of the NATO.

I own this. I totally agree - Citizen just finished the game, all I just can ever need in watch - it is here. Drop the mic

The black bezel seems very odd, did that bother you when you got it?
Not too much. It's gone now. The bracelet was awful - too tight and never fit right.

Does one have to use the app mor than once to keep the watch on radiocontrol ?

Is this solar? So basically, I wont be needing to change the battery?
That's right

Watch is away being serviced but I think natos would fit fine on it.
That's why it's meant to be left alone! Mine is Full Titanium, and it will stay that way.
The DLC is only on the bezel, the duratech is on the rest of it.

You mean for Citizen to make it an UK JDM?? 😊
You need to have MacGyver tools to set the time with this watch :XD
does the seconds hand have lume?
Nope sadly not!
Lovely watch. Requirement of simulator is a tit pain.
What's its lug to lug (length) please?
45mm lug to lug, 20mm lug width

I did a few videos on it but ultimately ended up selling it. The bracelet wasn’t a great fit and the Japanese time sync got to be too frustrating.

Nope. It isn’t. Go and research it and you’ll find it’s incorrect. I do mountains of research before my videos.
