Reminds me of the time I saw my neighbor at the local bar and she told me she'd called the cops on me because my music was so loud. Turns out, the cops were banging on the door but I didn't them - because the music was so loud. I didn't answer so they left. I felt bad when my neighbor told me about it, but it's pretty funny at the same time.

Figure there are a lot of people around the globe who didn’t know about them until the Iron Man movies. Original song released in 1979, so 40 damn years ago, almost as old as me. My late father watched these guys as a pub band in Aus in the early 70's, I watched them as a wild arse teen in the 80's and 90's and now the kids watch 'em in the 00 and 10's. This is ageless music.

That is exactly what happened to me.
This song was their biggest hit when it came out....40 years ago. The singer was Bon Scott who unfortunately died just before the release of the album. When you hear this song in movies it is him singing. Bon Scott had told the band about this singer he had seen and loved. When he died the band had to decide on if they could go on. They brought in the singer Bon had told them about, Brian Johnson...this guy. They recorded an album called Back in Black and it became one of the best selling albums of all time. AC/DC went on, bigger than ever. You should check out the original recording of this. Brian does it justice, but it was Bon's song.
Bon Scott even joked that if he dies Brian will be the only one to replace him.

These guys gave perhaps the most amazing live performances, second only to Queen. Wish I could have been there, but thrilled to watch the videos over and over. You two are so much fun to watch. Another great Aussie band that today's young people are finding out about. Saw their concert in 75 and I thing Angus was 15 or 16 years old. Great band and thank you for doing a reaction to them.

The boys from AC/DC were born in Glasgow (Scotland) but grew up in Sydney Australia after they moved here as kids. My Dad use to watch them when they use to play at their High School near Sydney they went to Ashfield Boys High. The band started in 1973 by the Young brothers Malcolm and Angus. Their first lead singer Bon Scott died in 1980 and the band thought they were done. Brian Johnson got the gig and the rest is history. On the 2016 Rock or Bust Tour Brian Johnson had to stop that tour on medical advice so Axl Rose of Guns n Roses filled in to finish it for him....pretty cool huh! 😜

This song was in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, both in Ironman and Avengers. Ironically, I have been on the highway to hell before, only I was in Baghdad at the time. Our official name for it was Route Irish, but journalists gave it more colorful name, this song amongst them.

This concert was in 2009 in Buenos Aires Argentina at River Plate soccer arena. It was to be a 2 night concert but they sold out both nights at capacity of 65,000 and had to add a third night. In total there were 195,000 people that saw that show.
By far the best live performance AC/DC had before the death of a member and the lead singer Brian Johnson leaving the band.
Anytime you want to hear and see the best of them make sure it’s live at River Plate. The crowd is crazy!

"back in the day", when AC/DC was first getting famous there were some "crazies" who said their name meant "anti-Christ/devil's child" WTF? They actually named their band after the tag on their sister's sewing machine.....in the "old" days, appliances that you had to "plug in" to an outlet would let you know if it needed Alternating Current or Direct Current or if you could use either one, she used her sewing machine to make the little "School Boy" outfit that her brother always wore on stage. Hence the name....AC/DC So there ya' go!

Trivia: Bon Scott's AC/DC opened for Geordie, led by Brian Johnson. Bon went to watch and said the singer was writhing on the floor, while belting out songs. Told his bandmates Johnson was great. Johnson's appendix actually just burst but he continued the show.

There is nothing so glorious as younger people realising a song they grew up listening to was from a band twice their age (at least) and seeing the band still rock out to it and making them fans all over again knowing the whole deal. AC/DC are universally known for their blues, rock sound. One great thing about them is that they've never changed their sound. So many rock bands try to reinvent themselves for the times but they've always remained true to what got them where they are today. A runaway train of rock. If you ever go to one of their shows I PROMISE you that you'll have a great time!

Bon Scott was the original lead singer, she wrote a book called Bonn Scott. Bon Scott died from alcohol poisoning. He was famous for the song (It's a Long Way to the Top if you want to Rock N Roll).
