This song changed my life, as a black kid living deep in Mexico, '60s & '70s when this song came on the radio. I didn't know music could sound like this.
Well, I won’t say changed my life, but it was the very first hard rock song I ever heard (noticed?). Definitely changed my hearing.

Over 50 years on, this track can still melt the walls. Us relative youngsters can only imagine what it must have been like in the live context. Not a bad vocal outing for singer Robert Plant - still only 21 at the time.

That song is nothing but raw sex. Bought that record in my teens when it first came out. Zeppelin one of my faves from way back. Thing is, just as great sounding now as way back when. So so glad I lived in those days. Creativity was EVERYWHERE!

“When the levee breaks” is amazing! It’s a country blues song written by an African American guy named Kansas Joe McCoy and it was about the Mississippi flood of 1927. The meaning behind it is really heavy, but that song is just pure old school rock and soul. Rock came from jazz and the blues and you can feel the soul in that song for sure
Jimmy Paige was so innovative; at one point during an album recording he used a violin bow to play notes on his guitar

You two are lively by nature, more so together, and tripled by Led Zeppelin! You get it.

This song and Dazed and Confused is 10x crazier live in concert and on their live albums. They perform those two songs as improvisational marathon workouts in front of hundreds of people. They improvise three or four songs within Dazed and Confused and Whole Lotta Love. Some songs they either recorded in the studio but never released and some songs that they never recorded on track at all. You don't see that nowadays in rock music today.

I'll be 67 this year. Crying over ignorant people storming the Capitol. I'm a Grandma--worrying about the younger generation. I decided to watch you guys. All these 70's songs from a different perspective. I was in my first year of college, studying hard and partying hard, when these songs were out!!! MEMORIES! GOOD MUSIC! Hippies! You both made me feel good today! Hope for the future! I am crying no more. I LOVE PRINCE. I like hip-hop and my favorite song is "ROCK STAR". I make my grandkids crazy asking them to play it for me. Like move over grandma, you'd better get with it! Love Aretha Franklin and Lou Rawls. ( I was in 8th grade listening to them. My Dad loved the 60's black sounds.).
