It's funny because if Barack Obama was a Muslim, He would have the Muslim right of " Taqiya " Where one is allowed, and even encouraged to lie about their religious background in order to gain more power for their home religion / country/ state / caliphate . Ultimately. This is how Obama started controlling the world in 2012.
I'm joking, and I actually thought Obama was a great president, but Taqiya (aka Kitmān ) is very real. Read people! This is why so many people thought he really was a Muslim. I'm pretty sure he's just a cool American though. I may not agree with everything he did, but Obama is a good man.

Has ANYONE posting comments here about "cue cards" watched SNL in the past twenty years??? SNL is a LIVE sketch comedy show that has to be put together from concept to live broadcast in less than a week! And the fact that everyone seemed to miss the point... Keenan Thompson never claimed to be Denzel Washington. He's a comedic actor, not a Tony award winning thespian. Get a damn sense of humor, people! GAWSH!
It's all planned and they do have cue cards, they just perform it live

When I was a kid, 20 years ago, my uncle and my father were having a conversation about race (non of them was racist btw, don't worry) My Dad said "Black people are powerful now, I mean, there are black millionaires, they're sports stars and actors..." then my uncle said "That's not real power, real power would be to have black people in the congress and political positions where they can make the difference, otherwise they still just being white people's ENTERTAINMENT."
Pete just said somehing like that, they're his heroes....rappers and NBA players. After 2020 this hits differently.

I breathed a sigh of relief when they actually mentioned that Obama is biracial. I always thought him being half black/half white and becoming the leader of our country was poetic... Also, I’m biracial too so I just like to see it acknowledged.

Well in Pete's defense he was still really new to the show and Kenan has been on there for I don't even know how many years. I would certainly hope he is better at it lol.

Look at Kenan's eyes. They are darting back and forth. Just because he isn't constantly staring at them like Pete doesn't mean he isn't checking the cue cards. There's no way he memorizes all his lines for every skit.

I remember watching Salma with my mom when I was little and freaking out for the first time in my life. It was terrifying to watch as a kid.
You can see the cue cards reflecting in the top Ieft picture frame...You can see them both looking... Incredible.

I'm a big Pete Davidson guy. Loved him on guy code and wild n out and his stand up is funny, but he is looking at the cue cards way to long in this sketch. He is looking at us while he talks when he should be looking at Keenan

This is one of the few sketches i've seen where Pete plays someone other than himself
This is ruined for me by Pete staring at his cue cards. You can't look at ur lines every no and again but he's starring them down the whole time.
+Jamie Martinez "Cold Open" means they are reading it/performing for the first time without practice. so it does not surprise me that Pete is looking at his cue cards

I think it was the way they positioned the cue cards because Kenan was definitely looking off to the side. It was just less noticeable because of the way they were positioned.

Jamie Martinez It's a "cold" open. When actors are acting/reading something "cold", it means that they are reading/acting it for the first time, so of course he's gonna need to look at his cue cards. Plus snl actors have like, a week to prepare for their skits.
