Not gonna lie, my heart skipped a beat when the agents taking Jane's couch had the decency to hand him all the change they found in it knowing it was his. Hahahaha xD
I'll bet Abbott saw Lisbon pick up the pieces of that cup and save them, And I'll bet he read the letters Jane wrote to her from Venezuela. Abbott came to the CBI looking for corruption and unearthed an insanely intense, unspoken love affair...and he just rolled with it and got on board. Our hero.
Everyone talking about Jane but, why i don't see anyone talking about the CBI? I loved that organization so much for years! It was so cozy, the teamwork, everyone was separated and even two "left" the series. I loved this new "version" they gave to "The Mentalist" but, it hasn't been the same since CBI closed....
Same. I don't really like how they just moved the group to working for the FBI in the next season like its nothing. The CBI at least had some in-universe sense for why they handled more local cases, but the FBI doesn't really do that.
What touches me: the Cho-Abbott, Abbott saying please to Cho at 0:39, knowing/remembering that in a future (Cho) will replace Abbott chosen by Dennis the "cocodrile".
Yeah well unfortunately this is because they also exposed to the fbi that here’re bos happens to also be a member of the blacks association that’s why asshole. That unfortunately means they can’t trust cbis judgement because this means they accidentally let a killer be in an incredible position of power that’s why asshole!
Like Abbott said "You had your chance and you blew it". From Abbott's perspective, CBI was investigation Red John for years and still weren't able to catch him, so they must be doing something wrong and he should take charge.
Everyone says they started off hating Abbot. I loved Abbot as soon as I say him. No Nonsense. Something California as a whole needs... Not just the CBI lol
It was the lack of identification upon entry that bothers me. Ordering people around without ID-ing the authority to which you are throwing around is just bad practice. You do not have to follow orders of someone you don't know, even if they are police, especially with everything going on in the show, they don't know if this another Red John set up.
@@niwempleh Not everything can be shown on TV. There's limited runtime. Your complaint sounds like nitpicking to the n-th degree. I think at least other people also hate him because those people bend the rules for their friends, loved ones, or idols. Abbott doesn't know Jane and Lisbon like we do. He needed to do this to ensure corrupt agents are caught, and RJ is caught. There are also people who have hidden biases. They hated Hightower, LaRoche, Abbott, all of them good, strong, fair. Well, except LaRoche when it came to a personal matter.
@@smurfyday nit picking? It's the character's intro, I'm sure they wrote it that way for dramatic effect. It's a comment about the writer's decision not the character or how the actor portrayed the character. Not sure what you're thinking, my guess is you're over thinking it!
Good Insan Well they obtained a writ from a Federal Judge, so it was the judge doing the shutting down, the FBI was just there to deliver the news and collect evidence.
Good Insan No. State police operate under the authority of the individual state, not the federal government. This was just another example of writers making something up to fit the narrative and not bothering to do simple research. It happens on a lot of shows, even some of the best (including this one). I find it very distracting when this happens, even though I realize this is simply a case of using a bit of artistic license for the sake of telling a story.
@@CharmsDad And even it haven't made sense. I mean, Lisbon and Jane have exposed a large criminal organization inside the forces, they deserved a medal, as did the whole CBI. I know it was a "show reboot" thing, but could be done in a better way.
One of the few things i don't like about the series, the way they did this "reboot". It has not made any sense, closing the CBI. They exposed a big criminal organization, inside forces; cops, judges. PS: We all hated Abbott, and we all love him now.
Yeah but they unfortunately had the right too because it unfortunately included there own boss that’s why! Which unfortunately showed cbis incompetence in electing its leader that’s why!
The reason Abbott closed it is because he wanted to create the perfect team. This includes Cho, Lisbon and Jane. Getting Cho was easy as he was interested in working with Abbott. What an earth shattering moment. The absolute peak of the climax of the red john story. Beautiful.
