Just a point of correction - When verbalizing or writing, the correct term is 'Caribbean' and not 'Caribbeans.' It refers to the region/group of islands and it isn't a plural noun.
dude in the roti one was a bonified hater "it doesn't taste fresh" that's probably bcuz it was made HOURS ago "shrimp was an afterthought" its almost like the whole point of this is for the ROTI not the shrimp, so yes they're gonna focus on what's being judged His critiques were some of the most nitpicky hater ish ive seen
She said she feels like the Jamaican curry will give her a run for her money but she rated the Jamaican curry…a 5? She only said the rice was good and said it wasn’t flavorful.

None of these first four "Jamaicans" are Jamaican...They are of Jamaican decent, but were NOT born and raised in Jamaica. Just having even 2 Jamaican parents does not make you Jamaican...

I don’t want to reply, man. Ask any doctor, professional, genealogist. You can’t say you’re just “American” because you’re not. Because you’re married into the family, your kids are half Jamaican and half whatever you are. I’m assuming Italian based on your first name. “American” is Aboriginal people, First Nations, by right, if you really want to play this game. We are all multicultural. If I had French born parents or grandparents, I’m French, even if I was born in America. That is why on job applications, they want to know what ethnicity you are, which you can choose to skip.
Also, there’s an erasure of culture if you neglect it too. If my kids wanted to know where their ancestors came from, because they don’t fit with their classmates, or have different colour of hair, eyes, skin whatever among their cousins or siblings, as a mixed or biracial child, I owe it to them to tell them where my parents parents came from. Why they look different than their peers. I can give you an example that can happen and has happen in school. A kid, who is not just American really was firm to being American. He doesn’t know his heritage or his background, and that’s not his fault. He was so sure of it, as my teacher looked over to me and asked gently, “where did your grandparents come from?” They had residential schools, concentration camps, to erase and instil a different culture. We must never forget this. Even if the people on the show don’t speak Patois, they’re Jamaican.

I met Donna at her restaurant in Brooklyn, she’s super sweet and everything on her menu is delicious!❤
I like when the men judge each other. They’re honest and not huge haters compared to the women.

@wte-de5jb the correct term is west indians. Caribbean is a term that refers to where we are from.
