The lead singer is a furry, the guitarist still has his braces on, the drummer looks like he plays on a college lacrosse team and the bassist looks like Ned Schneebly from school of rock, best band ever.

Will has grown a lot as a stage performer. When you watch his early performances he seems very timid and held back. But now he has lost all fucks and goes bat shit wild which adds to the music. His dancing signifies he doesn't give a fuck and the way he presents himself shows a self awareness to the fact he does not look like a rock star. But he uses this to advert your expectations and make you go holy fuck when he goes full on John Entwhistle and Ian Curits on your ass.

I feel the school meeting concept, they look like teens and is so fuckin awesome. Such a good band, insane songwriting and good chemistry in scenario. They're gonna be a big classic band if keep working like this.
I know it's been said but every time I see them live, and this performance included, the songs always have some addition or slight change that makes the experience fresh each time. I will be sad if the day ever comes that they lose that enthusiasm and love for what they are doing. Until then I'll be there every show I can, buy every album, and watch every video! Makes me hopeful for music to come

I accidentally downloaded this whole album when I originally only wanted like 3 songs. Finally got to listen to all of it...best mistake I've ever made.
in the past year it looks like they've gone from a good live band to a fucking insane live band. Wish the vocals were louder though.

A number of people have pointed out that they should have given Hippie Powers another shot, but I feel it really showed their true musicianship. Though the low E on the guitar (I think) was way out of tune, Will signaled the guys and told them to just keep rolling with it. That's true musicianship.
Also, everyone keeps saying it, but jesus look at that space. It is stunning!
Ah, I was wondering what the signal Will gave was in the song. I heard that ugly dissonance but just assumed they meant it to be like that, but this makes more sense now.
Out of tune guitar drove me nuts, but I loved the song!
Late to the party but this is such an interesting point in this clip, like do they have previously-agreed-upon gestures they all understand so they can discreetly signal each other when in a live setting and unable to communicate? Or did Will just make that gesture up on the spot and hope the others understood?
I would also agree that I'm so glad they stuck it out anyway, it was an interesting peek behind the veil to see a band owning their misfortune/error and persisting through it, it's very endearing.

I'd say it would be too long but they did The Ending Of Dramamine on here previously so I'm surprised they didn't. It's a big highlight of the album for many people it seems
i know im late but they played it at Black Cat which is the only time theyve ever played it live
@@50l50l50Productions it's likely because they can't translate well enough live. it's kinda the situation as with famous prophets, which is usually cut down a lot live. i imagine that monologue doesn't work well live

Read a few earlier reviews, and I'm far from a musician, however Destroyed By Hippie Powers is my favorite track here. Really good music. Nice job boys.

Making a Door Less Open is probably my favorite CSH album. It's a tragedy that it released right as COVID started in early 2020. I've been pining for a new CSH album ever since and hope Will and the band will gift us with a new one soon.

I love how in Cosmic Hero they use the little lick from Joe Goes To School, I would have connected those two songs on the album
