Over 30 Bald Eagles in the back yard

- This video was recorded in Unalaska, Alaska. Google it. A bunch of bald eagles show up in our back yard. You get to hear a lot of the bald eagles talking. My kids get really close to them, they must really want more red salmon. Right now the salmon are running upstream to spawn so most of the locals are set-netting on the beach and smoking/canning/grilling some sockeye. In this video the native Aleuts were subsistence fishing and drying out the fillets. The Aleuts were not using the heads and guts and that is what the eagles were eating.
Some people have flags in their yard to show their patriotism. This guy took that to a whole new level.
And after that extinct animals will begin to appear in our yards.
Irk
A 'bunch' of bald eagles is actually called a congress!
haha...looks like a Hillary campaign....only thirty turned out..lol
Is "IT" in jail yet.....

A bunch of bald eagles is called freedom. A bunch of congressmen are called parasites
Or "convocation". I like what the other guy said about congressmen being parasites, however.
You take that back about bald eagles this instant
I've always used the term "convocation". I think that's the more accepted collective term.
It's a dream come true. I'm 54 and eagles have been my favourite animal....I used to wish so hard to literally BE an eagle. You guys are so lucky! Really loved the big baby eaglets, too. Such a treat .... I was hypnotized by your vid. Thanx for this...a friend in Alberta.
So much freedom in one location. Beautiful.
How neat is that
Did you sprinkle freedom all over your back yard?
Majestic birds , such a privilege to have them in your back yard .
Sir, your backyard is full of freedom.
that's a lot of freedom

I absolutely love how eagles and other raptors run, they sort of waddle and it's so silly. But they're so pretty :3
when you spread out bread crumbs on the ground, you attract pigeons... what did they spread on the ground to attract them? FREEDOM.
if you spread pigeons on the ground it would still probably attract eagles lol
How do you laugh in American?
[bald eagle noises]
I live in New Jersey and I saw a wild bald eagle for the first time in my life today.
That is a great video! You almost forget how big those eagles are until you see them close up. Love the sounds those birds make, awesome!
Americans slowly try to get closer to freedom
Freedom flys away...
I see juveniles among the adult bald eagles. I LOVE them. One of my favorite raptor birds!
I was in Homer Alaska, and I sat on the beach, literally only a foot away from an eagle.
Wonderful! We are in NJ, there was one pair known in 1980 and over 200 now, but seeing one is still rare and a treat, and it's amazing seeing them so close.
Coolest video I've seen in a long, long time!
I've spent the last hour looking up eagle videos on RUclips. And not one of them has failed to make me smile.
Pursuant to state and federal law it is illegal to "take, feed, disturb, possess, sell, purchase or barter, or attempt to engage in any such conduct, any bald eagle or parts thereof, or their nests or eggs. All violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."
This is a cool video!! It's nice to see nature at a close view!!! I didn't know eagles were so HUGE!!!
Most American thing I've ever seen
Could listen to their chittering all day. Love seeing the juvies & subadults. 80% don't survive their first 3 years of life so these are young warriors we're looking at.
I can just smell the freedom.
It kind of smells like bird shit.
The NSA knows that you need some freedom now. We will be there shortly to share some of this freedom with you.
Your kids must be very brave. I know I'd probably be too freaked out to go near them. I like observing these birds from afar.
I believe it is illegal to feed Eagles. Then they become dependent on humans and upsets the balance of nature and threatens the Eagles survival. Those kids could have been ripped to shreds.
Thats correct. It is also illegal to own them because they are endangered
They eat kids
I totally agree
I wish I can see bald eagles that close, they are magnificent, graceful birds. Symbol of the United States.
Seeing this many bald eagles fills me with the uncontrollable urge to start chanting... U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!!
This is such a grand experience for you're kids ....what a joy....have fun and THANK YOU for shareing with us...
Too...
Much...
FREEDOM!
My 18 month old is obsessed with eagles and asks to watch this video a few times a day! I have the whole thing memorized now.

I live in rural Oklahoma and I've seen a bald eagle on two occasions. I was completely amazed and I wasn't near as close as you guys. This is an incredible sight and video. You are sooooooo lucky!!!
Absolutely beautiful and I would be so excited to see them in my yard, but it is wrong that they are feeding the eagles. You can tell that they are becoming too used to the people and perhaps dependent. The children should not be running up to them.
This is amazing! I love to hear the birds communicating with one another. I have always wanted to know their thoughts!!
Be careful with your little kids around those large birds...they can kill a small child easily
Even have carried them off to their nests
I think that it just awesome that your kids get to experience this. The people that are saying rude things below are probably from a city and have no clue. There are plenty adults around that if the Eagles attack. The kids were doing no harm. Not one of those kids was trying to hurt them, they were just trying to get a closer look. While your kids are in side playing video kids, these kids are learning about nature. And that is a valuable lesson for kids to learn.
the bigger ones r the females! also if u had some meat, and had ur arm out, u could have had one fly right up to or even land on u to eat from ur hand‼
Wow! Thank you! I'm in Wichita, Kansas where we have a few Balt Eagles as Winter visitors. Glimpses of them are rare but I have seen a couple! All the best to you folks!
Dumbest dad ever, making eagles scared, especially infront of kids
Wonderful video, I loved it. Such a beautiful family of people, kids and adults both happy in the midst of such elegant and powerful birds. You are blessed. =]
Thank u for sharing ! Nature is such a surprise and generous . May God bless you all .
Incredible! You are very lucky to have seen so many Eagles right in your back yard! Thanks for sharing! Be safe... From Cape Cod Massachusetts.
You know what's the best part of this video? The children are treating the animals with respect. They're not chasing after them while swinging and kicking. They're cautious and attempting to approach the animals with respect. Yes they are excitable (as children typically are) but they're in no way unruly. That was the best thing I took from this video.
This would be totally surreal. I can't imagine one up close let alone lots...they such beautiful birds.
Fantastic footage! I get excited when I spot 2 bald eagles here in KS! We live near a river so we have the pleasure of seeing them during the winter months. Thank you for sharing. =)
Amazing, seeing that video makes me so happy!! I think I would lose it (double-rainbow style) seeing that many Bald Eagles. I nearly shed a tear seeing my first one with my family with me!
The best part of this video is, "You need to put some pants on." That made this mother cry tears of laughter. Amazing video and thanks for sharing.
its wonderful seeing those beautiful aimals in their natural habitat! Thx for sharing this video!
I loved the echoes of kids laughter - reminds me of my past days. :) kidhood days

What an amazing sight! Thanks for sharing this. A wonderful experience for you and your kids for sure. Nature is incredible!
My wife had a similar experience recently up the coast of British Columbia. Over 20 eagles eating salmon right in a fisherman's back yard! I suppose this is common for you guys? Mind blowing for most of the rest us!! Great upload and thanks!
Great video! I think eagles are some of the coolest birds. I even have the wingspan of one!
I knew it had to be Alaska, because I know of no other place you'd find so many eagles hanging around like a bunch of seagulls! Nice video!
That's amazing that they let you come so close! I have only ever seen bald eagles once in my life.
good that the children respect the wildlife, well handled on-top of their excitement.
Thanks for sharing. It must be nice to see so many eagles up close.
I'm a photographer and have never seen one in the wild. I would love to have been there to see this!! They were all so beautiful!

Wow how beautiful. Lucky kids. We see eagles every winter on the river, only 10 miles away. I have never seen one in my own yard.
dam i love how the eagles walk they look so beast, most of them are huge :O
Well my brother is stationed at Fort Richardson, Alaska and says its beautiful up there. Im stationed at Fort Gordon, Georgia. He says he wants to stay in Alaska and I see why. I think when I get out of the military im going to leave Maryland and go to Alaska where the my 2nd Amendment rights are still supported and I can see awesome sights like this. Thanks for the upload!
how lucky.... wish I could afford to come up to Alaska to photograph eagles !!
Nice family, nice environment, nature everywhere, You got it good.,
I'm watching this in Jan 13 2021.
Thinking is this when all the eagles had a meeting to decide whether in 12 years if they really wanted to still be the mascot of the United States.
whoa. this is cool. ive never seen an eagle in person. Unalaska is very pretty!
Never seen a man so free in my life
I'm jealous you are lucky to see these eagles

This is just awesome beyond words.
That's really cool! What a sight to see!!
Beauriful birds. Bless you all for keeping them fed and happy. :)
I remember when I visited Alaska a while back, I was amazed at how common Bald Eagles were! They would flock like pigeons and just chirp and twitter.
This is so amazing. Wish I could see something like this in my yard.
the one on the roof at 4.24 is definitely up to something. he's like "nothing going on over here!" when the camera's on him.
