The Concert Half of this movie felt like a hitman mission lol, I love the way he set up distractions, wore disguises and manipulated everything like a true agent 47.
I know you're a serial killer so take my daughter to a concert where I've told the police you will be instead of telling them who you are. Good parenting
She only had suspicions. She didn’t want to say it was him outright because she didn’t know for sure. So she just helped set the trap, praying it wasn’t true.
It never ceases to amaze me when I read people dissing a film they don’t understand. The preposterous concept, the zillion improbabilities, the over the top (and great!) performance by Josh Hartnett playing a doting daddy serial killer. Duh. You want to take this fun ride SERIOUSLY?! People broke their funny bone.
I’m used to this director having a plot twist. I picked up on dad being The Butcher immediately from the previews and thought SURELY there will be another plot twist that’s less evident. WOW was I wrong.
It kinda does have a twist. In the end it was revealed that the wife was the one that tipped the police telling them the killer was gonna be at the concert... I would agree that it is a weak ass twist
The only thing that pissed me off about this movie is when that girl stood there and looked at those bottles instead of turning the fryer off😂 I did however enjoy that that man always had a plan
I absolutely loved Josh Hartnett in this film. But I did not really like the emphasis on the Lady Raven music performance and was srsly felt sick when I found out she was the director's daughter.
What could have made this movie great is to start with the wife kissing them goodbye, kissing him on the cheek and saying something like 'looking forward to seeing you both later' and when he backs out accidently knocking the bike over so as to contextualise the ending. Even if at the concert he could have fixed something a little so as to show some mechanical adeptness (a wobbly chair etc)
I think you misunderstood him, when he said he wasn't talking to nobody, he meant he would no longer make conversation with strangers because they could be a weirdo or in this case a serial killer. And just to be clear, the snitching garbage is just with Black people, thats dumb to think that lmao.
If actor Richard Gear needs somebody to play him in a biopic then, he should get Josh Hartnett to play him. He definitely reminds me of a young Richard Gear from the '80s through the mid-'90s. 😊
The most unrealistic thing about this movie is the stadiums hallways and bathrooms etc being THAT full when the artist is playing usually in a real show everyone just wants to watch it and there’s only a few stragglers in those areas during the actual show. Here it’s halftime the entire concert and it’s packed everywhere all the time
I’m glad I didn’t listen to some reviews that criticized the movie. I would have missed a very enjoyable suspenseful movie. My whole family enjoyed its plot twists. Some very smart characters in the plot. I’m glad I didn’t watch this synapses telling the entire story. Would have spoiled the experience watching it.
dumbest movie ever... saw him chopping off other people... then tip the police without photo... police go to entire concert stadium based on vague tip.... rubbish...
This looks pretty bad and is clearly a vehicle for M Night’s daughter, but at least he tried to do something interesting with this one. Josh is obviously carrying this one. Anyway, I’m not a fan of M Night, more of a hater really, but I might watch this one
The funny thing about this movie is “Lady Raven” is M. Nights daughter who is….a musician! This movie was just one big nepotism fest and was basically giving his daughter exposure. Not surprised the rest built around it is garbage.
@@johnsilver7507 No, his escapes were just nonsensical and ridiculous and the movie felt like it lead into AND THEN this happened, when its the one thing they the teach you in screenwriting to not to do. If it had a storyline beat that went more like “And then this happened but it began causing this to happen, therefore preventing this from happening” then it might have been something interesting. But it was just one situation to the next situation, feeling disjointed, leading into nothing else. It’s fine if you like it but by every standard of writing, it wasn’t good.
If i'm not mistaken, It's hard for an actress or actor to start getting roles because they have no credits for anything and are not in the actors guild so I wonder if M. Night, apart from making some money used it to get her that first credit so she has easier time getting other roles. I checked IMDB and she has nothing apart from some music video so this is her first film.
@@thecustomconcern your arguing this type of movie is ridiculous? Have you ever seen these types of movies before? Also did we watch the same movie how was it disjointed and felt leading to nowhere
I actually saw it already that the father was The Butcher. What I thought the plot twist going to be, was that everyone already had him and ready to ambush him at his house or something. But nice movie regardless.
It was certainly a decent movie, but the way it portrayed people acting in certain scenarios was not realistic at all, and threw me off multiple times.
In my opinion, the movie is good during the whole concert part; however, once the concert ends, a series of very unrealistic events, one after another make it go down and fall apart.
M. NS missed on this one in my opinion. He’s usually known for the insane triple layered plot twist. This movie was his worst first the sole fact it was super predictable. Good movie but not his best work
