4:43 How everyone who watched the Joker 2 felt (i had to watch it twice cus of editing)
Im sorry you had to go through it twice.
Twice? You poor soul. 😢
No one watched it apart from you. lmao

I couldn’t bring myself to watch it loved the first movie did not want to ruin it by watching the second one 😢
You know it's bad when HD clips of the movie are avaliable the same month of it's theatrical release.
yep
why?
Anyone else get the feeling that this sequel was made to punish the people who enjoyed the first movie? Like they undid everything he did in the first movie and in the end Destroyed the main character and finally killed him off in the worst way possible.
Dont punish yourself Joaquin Phoenix wanted it to be a musical becuz he dreamt it and since the first one is a success its guaranteed to get a sequel no matter how much the director doesn't want to make one lol
The Joker frequently faces societal misunderstanding of his character and his motivations. His actions, while often violent and chaotic, can reflect deeper issues that society refuses to acknowledge. This mislabeling furthers his isolation and feelings of injustice.
@@PoisonelleMisty4311 Did you like the movie? What more do you think about it i'd like to hear.
In that case, they deserved it. The first one sucked. He was never the Joker.
I felt that the movie was a "f**k you", cant explain it. I enjoyed the first movie. The second movie was great, entertaining, I felt like he was becoming the joker then meh. Its valid writing and a reasonable story, just disappointing. I am not a fan of musicals, but it felt right. But the ending,. like eating a great cake and finding out it was poisoned.

Yep they save our money

you just couldnt appreciate a movie that flipped your perspective and lead you to believe something it revealed wasnt true, the joker isnt supposed to have a backstory so the fact that he had one shouldve told u he wasnt the joker to begin with, and the fact they pretty much left out everything about bruce in this one just shows you he was just some insane guy that inspired the real joker, whom we still know nothing about which is very accurate to the comics considering in a few of the most popular volumes there are multiple jokers, i didnt like most of the music i felt as if it was just to extend the movies watchtime, but accurate to his perspective bc he was going through psychosis.

Lol ... I watched this without watching the whole movie and based on the comments I won't watch the movie.
A C TU AL L Y
It made absolutely no sense for Arthur to abandon the Joker persona. The assault he suffered from the guards should have only caused him to descend further into madness.
Its obvious how forced it is since even the writers couldn’t help themselves to have Arthur imagine his own death in the “fantasy” world on stage. It makes sense that he would do that if he had really abandoned that fantasy.
It was so gross for that scene to even be in the movie, especially the way it was used.
That's what I requested bought and when the courtroom blew up I was bought "oh shit here we go the joker is reborn" but that stabbing by the other inmate was so stupid . Maybe Phoenix didn't want to continue playing Joker but man what a waste
After watching this it was a good ending Arthur had to many emotions to be the Joker. Joker is a sociopath with strategies of mayhem for the sake of it.
@@100conquestI'm not a comic book purist, but I saw it as instead of the him being the joker, or him having split personality of the Joker, but the Joker was always 100% Arthur and Arthur was just as fd up as Joker. I can't believe we're even having to discuss this! The Joker, locked up, only to find out he was never the real Joker? It’s a sick joke! Inequality is a breeding ground for insanity, and it’s about time we start screaming about it! People are suffering every day because of systemic injustices like sexual abuse, racism, mental health issues, poverty, and unemployment. Let's not forget the lack of educational support that traps so many in a vicious cycle of despair! The rich sit on their thrones, completely oblivious and heartless to the struggles of those from low socioeconomic backgrounds. Enough is enough! We need to shout these truths from the rooftops and hold the guilty accountable! This is not just talk; it’s a desperate plea for change!
They really didn't know what to do with this movie.

This movie was stupid. Whoever thought it was a good idea to turn it into a musical needs to rethink their career choice. The bad thing was when they were showing the trailers non of them had any music parts which suggests that the production team thought it sucked.
I thought the first one was very powerful as it focused on mental health issues from many different areas, so I was so shocked when my daughter watched it and told me it was a musical it's totally ruined it as he went through all that intense physical body changes for a musical that's bizarre. They've actually made a mockery of mental health as in serious scenario then start singing why 🤔🙄🤷🏽♀️

The real Joker was the director, made fools of everyone wanting to see this 😂
Tarantino said that too!
The Joker's battles with Batman and other authority figures highlight themes of rebellion against a system that he perceives as unjust. While his methods are extreme, they represent a critique of the status quo and an exploration of the darker sides of human nature.

While the Joker is undoubtedly a villain, examining his character through the lens of injustice allows for a deeper understanding of the complexities of his motivations and the societal issues that contribute to his development.
This was so boring i had to skip some parts in a 20 minute recap
So did I.
That’s how bad the movie was not even a recap could help it
I heard someone say it best:
"In hindsight, you can't really make Arthur Fleck into the true criminal mastermind Joker. He's socially inept, bordeline special needs and doesn't have the mental capacity to come up with elaborate criminal plans like the real Joker that fights Batman."
The difference is that the Arthur fleck joker actually has a plausible way to recruit joker goons. It's also a hard sell to just force down our throat that we have to accept that the "true joker", not only killed the one who created the persona or identity but stole it for personal gain? gtfoh with that.
a split personality could have all the necessary skills though - having him killed and another inmate revealed as the joker just makes the whole series pointless.
Fleck already had a bunch of fans, Lee is a nepobaby who could bribe the prison just to hang out with Joker, so she confidently could be the brains of the criminal.
Arthur accepts his new persona as Joker, eccentric performer, while Lee is the smart mastermind. Together they influence more people to show how corrupt the system is, insult judges and what not, become buddies with the prison guards, ensuring more dangerous goons at hand.
Film ends at Joker's and Lee's success as her parents use the new formed gang and instability for their advantage. A message would show how shadow companies use public figures, satisfying first film fans' and also subverting power dynamics of Joker/Harley, which would gather both right and left wing audience.

They’re making it sound like Joker is like Two-Face.
Todd phillips single handedly ruined the joker character. His first movie ripped off taxi driver, and it doesnt even make sense why he picked that movie. The joker is not a vigilante anti hero, hes a sadist. If he was gonna rip something off to base it on joker it wouldve been smarter to pick a clockwork orange
@MaddiLew That’s what happens when you try to make a origin movie about a supervillain. They should stick to heroes.
Hes not the joker. Thats the whole point of the movie. The audience just like harley and other people who worship joker were not seeing arthur for who he was. He's Arthur a mentally ill man not a supervillian or a symbol. Its kinda funny how life imitates art just the people in the court and harley left as soon as arthur said he wasnt the joker the majority of negative reviewers are doing the same.

Struggle for Identity: The Joker's identity is often portrayed as fluid and constructed from trauma and pain. This struggle to find a sense of self in a world that oppresses and dehumanizes can be seen as a profound injustice.

The movie might be unsatisfying but there is magic to every joker movies, good and bad.
Everytime joker talks about his past and origin, it changes in many versions
And every movie introducing the joker have a new version and origin
What I hated about this movie is its trying too hard to make the Joker an IDEA and not a person. Something that can be passed from person to person like a mind virus. I see what they were going for but ultimately, The Joker is about the person and if you lose that, then you really devalue the journey.
Thnx for the Video. Had no plans to see it.
You made the movie even better a non-musical-musical movie. Saves me the time and money. This set up is highly entertaining.
Making it a musical romance was a huge mistake
It really brought tears to my eyes when Arther said "I'm not The Joker, baby" :(
"you were the only one who never made fun of me" :(
so they completely destroyed Harley Queen story and made the Joker the idiot that is being controlled and pushed over the edged instead of the other way around. Kept the name and burned. No wonder it flopped.
This Movi should have not released. Wast of time for many people
The one moment I was drawn to by the trailers ..the scene with Joker using the hammer on the judge.. was just a mere day dream? That's unfortunate. Thanks for the breakdown
I think it’s heavy implied that the person who kills Arthur is supposed to be heath’s leadger’s joker , because of when the man cuts his own mouth which heath’s joker mentioned in his movie . There was absolutely no reason for this movie to try to connect the Christopher Nolan movies with this .
They don't know who he is in the Dark Knight. No DNA, no prints. So it can't be
Not implied at all. Ledger's joker turned Harvey Dent into 2 face with a bomb in TDK. Harvey Dent's face was blown up at the court here. There's absolutely nothing tying the 2 universes other than the scars (which are no longer unique to TDK.)
The Joker in The Dark Knight said that his father did that to him (cut his mouth)

@ I personally felt like it was so incredibly overhyped, and by the time I watched it I just didn’t find it that great. Sure, it was a good film. However, it’s not something I’d rush to rewatch. I found the whole Joker aspect out of place. If it didn’t have that aspect, it would’ve been better imo. I know a lot of people love it and I’m probably in the minority.
@@galactica604 Because Joker is a nice-looking and clever-enough comic book movie that wants so badly to be compared to some of the best films by one of the most gifted American directors of all time. While it successfully recreates that aesthetic, it does not also recreate the social insights or the psychological depth of the films it borrows from. The films it mainly borrows from are Taxi Driver and The King of Comedy. If you've seen them then you'll know
Thank you! I always thought it was overrated too.
The first joker was warm SH*T. Glorifying violence and senseless disconnected bile. Heath Ledger was one hundred times the joker and dark knight a thousand times the film..

I enjoyed DC because of Jack Nicholson/ Michael Keaton. I looked forward to Batman because of 90s Cartoons. I loved Batman because of the Dark Knight movies. i can't even stomach anything from DC after.
If anyone here watched the original batman in the 70s they would know that the joker was always singing and getting"killed" until the next time he was on the show. He is a super villain and has a knack of coming back from the dead. Seemingly impervious to beatings and weapons. Remember, this is the same universe as Superman, aquaman, the flash. When he was killed. It wasnt the joker that died, it was the last remnants of Arthur. He then becomes the joker permanently. Hence the sketch in three begining.
saves me from watching the whole thing.
This recap was so much better than the movie. It gives one an idea what the film could have been without the musical.
This movie is what happens when people are told, 'you will like this movie. And if you don't, YOU are the problem. The audience does not know what they want.' Amazingly pathetic to have an ego like this. Reminds me of a person running for president who never got a single vote. And her party told the voters, 'this is who you are voting for whether you like it or not.'

well Arthur always thought the Real Joker was Lady Gaga until he get stabbed for thinking his boyfriend in an image of his celebrity crush , thats really what he fucking deserves
If there one thing I can say is that this can represent the shadow of us all that the joker is a tarot that embraces change and is wise in its own right but not taking things seriously, if embraced as an aspect it can give one power to push through the unknown with confidence or if not it can do the opposite by fear and wanting to stay where it’s comfortable which is where stagnation is and as a result stuck in (death) which is the card tarot before this which is transformation, this one did not change but remained in death and seeked external value, if there one thing I can say about the true joker is that he takes risk with life and comes out on top despite being outclassed even if matter of not being attained in prison, but this one surrendered to external influences and lost. Never surrender when fighting to win
I kinda knew that. Jokers real name wasn't Arthur Fleck. It was Jack Napier.

Arthur Fleck not being the real Joker is about the only good thing this movie could do. First one wasn't as good as everyone hypes it up to be, just a cheap man's take on an independent film's better job at highlighting social isolation. The actual Joker not having a back story is one of the things that make Joker interesting. Quinn being already someone Joker can relate to, instead of someone on the other side of the aisle (a doctor per say) is lazy and boring. Skipping any sort of dramatic turns or unexpected plot points, which benefit a movie about a guy who supposedly, we know nothing about. But it's all too predictable.
Acctually, yes he was the real Joker. His joker abandoned him because Authur abandoned Joker, and the joker sort of like possessed another.

I consider this film and “Joker” not part of the canonical DCU universe. It was based on an obscure issue with the theory of Arthur Fleck’s story.
This is NOT the acknowledged origin of the “Joker.”
As far as the actors, they did amazingly well depiction of the descent into madness….
Isn't it? The psychological mannerisms of such a person who the joker is would more than likely originate from a feeble broken man, abused by society and physically powerless to control one's own life so psychological snap would occur. Any action on his part would be small.
Instead the real joker would be a man who was inspired by such a broken man who even though was stomped out of existence still had the inner strength to rebel against the society that broke him.
The original joker would not be a criminal or a supervillain. But an embarrassment to society, an impoverished man in rags that has lost all shame and his soul.
They would call him a joker, not because he is funny but because he's a joke by society's standards. An inspiration to his predecessor.
So much wanted potential for a great movie. They could have had Dent become Two Face.

None of these people are real. It's a made up story, and made up stories can be changed. Why do people always expect the same story over and over like it is supposed to be historically accurate non fiction?
Here’s what should’ve happened:
After the guards killed Arthur’s friend, he has a dream where he is in an all-white interrogation room, still in his pajamas, with another him, dressed as the Joker. Arthur and “Joker” end up having a philosophical argument about their life, society in general, recent events, and question the concept of sanity. We then get a duet/tango between them as they come to terms with each other. They then sit down in chairs opposite of each other and go “screw it, let’s just do this” and they start laughing, then, with their laughter still in the background, the scene changes abruptly with Arthur replaced with a bucket of white paint, “Joker” with a bucket of green paint, and the table between them with an open blender; both buckets tip over and pour their contents into the blender as it suddenly activates by itself and keeps going even after it overflows, splashing the entire room with mixed paint. The paint covers the screen as the laughter can still be heard before it and the laughter fade away into the final courtroom scene. When asked for a final comment before the sentence announcement, Arthur, now fully merged with his “Joker” identity gives a speech that shakes everyone to their core, before the court audience and even the judge begin to laugh at him, renouncing him as ridiculous. Caught in distress, Joker and Harley also begin to laugh; Harvey is the only one in the room not laughing, half his face covered in shadow as he looks on in shock and confusion. Then the courtroom wall explodes and the city is swallowed in a sea of riots once more, more destructive than last time. Joker and Harley escape in the confusion and are soon seen in blissful joy as they share a duet together as they sing the last song together as they walk into the apartment together, starting their new life together as the scene fades to black. The final scene showing a flashback to when Arthur is first taken to the prison and meets his friend (the one that gets killed by the guards). He hears a nurse commenting on how strange it is that the man’s condition has been improving ever since Joker’s appearance on “that talk show”. Arthur chuckles and he and his then-new friend begin singing a duet of “That’s Life” as everyone else looks on in silence as the words, “The End” appear on-screen.
Even suicide squad 2016 is a lot better than that movie, it maybe have some bad reviews, but at least it has the characters who stick to their promises.
