- This house was not hard to miss. It looked like it didn't even have a driveway even though it was there. The grass was getting so tall that you couldn't see parts of the house. The sidewalk was getting so overgrown that there was no way to walk on them. Well, I offered to clean it up for free and the homeowner said that would be wonderful.

I noticed that there was a weed that you just tossed to the neighbors yard but other than that it looks great. And I have a question do the weed s grow back fast since they are just cut down not pulled out when they are so big

Might sound like a broken record, but this is definitely the push they needed to be able to maintain the yard on their own. Always a great job

I really hope they keep up with the maintenance. It really is a cute house and with this push from Spencer they should be able to keep it up.
Sometimes things get bad in an area of your life and you just don't know where to start to get back on track. Too embarrassed or ashamed or lacking the funds to ask for help. Oftentimes that one bit of kindness from someone else is sincerely what's needed to finally move forward. Sometimes you forget how much better things can be until someone is kind enough to show you.
Helping the disabled and elderly is one thing. Don't enable these lazy people.
@@sharonfieldstoneRight. And I can tell you, those battery powered devices do not not much stamina. It would take days to get through all that what with waiting for the batteries to recharge.
With this head start, though, it would just take some Saturday maintenance.
To say that those sidewalks had overgrowth is an understatement.

Yeah. In the rental listing from 2020 the lawn was mowed but the sidewalks and drive already had a lot of grass in the cracks

For some folks, yard work is a stumbling block... they just can't get motivated to go out and do it...

I know what a godsend you are, I had bulky furniture to move and I asked a lovely young man 4doors up to help me ( hubby has a crook neck) and he happily did it for a few bucks otherwise there’s no way I could have moved it,so you know what a relief it is when someone helps you with something you can’t do ,love and blessings to you😅

Giving hearts don't do things on video for recognition or payment. He's a business man and understands that people like you don't want to see a normal yard being cut.

I bet these homeowners were completely overwhelmed and probably embarrassed by their yard. You gave them back their dignity! Now they can maintain it and be proud of their property. You’re a blessing!
it depends if they even cared. it's so hard to know what someone is thinking. they could have some type of disability or mental issue or could even be lazy as well. Some people simply don't care. you know the real thought would be to revisit some of the homes that had people living there and see if they kept up the lawn.
@tenin982000 I think you are 100% correct. By the looks of this lawn they didn't care. The homeowner appeared to be young and able bodied and a yard that size wouldn't take much to keep it at least decent. I highly doubt they will maintain for any length of time. I feel sorry for the neighbors who have to live near that.
Being able-bodied unfortunately doesn't mean you're financially or mentally well enough for the kind of undertaking. Things can get bad before you know it when you're not doing well for a period of time, and it becomes overwhelming to get back on track. I hope this act of kindness is exactly what they needed to get back on track.
Judging by the BEER CANS in the yard, I DOUBT IT...
@@terriann3031well he did say at the beginning of the video that the home owner does not have the appropriate tools to maintain a lawn that overgrown, so maby now that the lawn is in a state that he can take care of it, he will.

The country needs more men like Spencer.
The country needs more men to get off their lazy azzes. Do you really think he would do this for free if not on RUclips? No. He gains income by viewership, which pays for the yard work. No RUclips no income. He markets his business very well and does a great job on the yards. In my opinion I would only help the disabled, elderly or those that have a bona-fide reason for neglecting their homeowner's responsibilities. Stop providing free services to able bodied men.

First, thank heavens you’ve finally covered your nose, mouth area! I was so worried about you breathing in all that dust and particles! Second, you have been such an inspiration to me! I had to buy a couple of tools to help me with the work, but what a difference they have made! Long handled loppers and a mini cordless handheld chain saw (4-inch). They cut through anything like butter! The world needs more people like you. Selfless, hardworking, caring. Thank you for being there!

Doing the job like you do is an absolute art form! I have watched so many of these lawn maintenance videos and even some of the more experienced guys sometimes disappoint me. Sometimes the edging won’t be completely straight or the fence lines won’t be as clean, but you are great at it. Thank you for using your expertise to help people who are unable to do for themselves.
