MJ has that flair and smoothness that you don't see in any players today. It's pure eyecandy to watch him play basketball.
A lot of people say that 87-88 is MJ's individual prime, but i don't know. I honestly think he was better in 91-92. Sure, his season stats may not have been as insane. But watching games from his 91-92 season, you get the feeling you're watching an absolute basketball genius. At the peak of his skill, athleticism, mental maturity, decision making, etc. Just unstoppable. In 87-88 he seemed a little less refined, somehow. Incredibly athletic, but with a slightly less polished game. A little less under control, more wasted movement/energy, always going 100mph. He just seems slightly more skilled in 91-92 with better decision making, perfect economy of movement, and he hadn't really lost any athleticism at that point either, so it was a devastating combo of athletic brilliance, maturity, psychological mastery of the game, and basketball skill. 1991-92 MJ would tear up today's league. It wouldn't be fair.

Michael L - the biggest difference was the implementation of the Triangle. He was no longer holding on to the ball at all - everything was pocket passing and quick off the ball movement. He had learned from playing against the Pistons and their Jordan Rules which the entire NBA adopted in some form or fashion. MJ was a great mind as well and not controlled by his ego - he adapted constantly through his career not only to the on court conditions and the tactics used against him, but also to the aging process.
By the Championship years (91), he was the perfect blend of athleticism and maturity in terms of his game. MJ was just so polished by then and yet amazingly, he just continued to refine his game until his second retirement. As for '92-'93, I laws felt it was the fatigue of the past season and the immediate Dream Team commitment that followed that kept him from pushing himself through the regular season - he was waiting for the Playoffs. Also, by then, I think the unique pressures of being MJ wore on him a bit and he needed that retirement- it was just a tragedy that his father's murder was the catalyst for it.

Michael L no, his prime , the peak of his prime, was 90-92. Age 27-29. Period. It doesn’t matter what they try to say. You’re not in your prime when you first come in the league because you have a 48 in vert, the term prime means at your best, so by 27-28 he still had that 48 in vert but could also light it up from anywhere on the court, prime is when skill meets physical might at the best point of both of them.

I understand Jordan being upset but wow take the apology x.x;; and MJ is by far my favorite player lol...I just didn't like the reaction on that but oh well, it motivated him I'm sure so I guess it works out

Imagine @5:26 happening in today’s league LMAO. The player would’ve violently threw himself to the floor, caused a self-injury that could’ve been prevented, then sat there rolling around for 2 mins. Not MJ tho. He landed like a cat and simply voiced his displeasure with the foul.
