@@JuanHans No, i wouldn't say so. I'd say the only things obligatory for a novelist were reading a tonne of classics, and/or of novels that truly speak to you, and maintaining a regular daily writing schedule.

They might be issues of a literary magazine. I know that Granta magazine for instance has issues that look relatively similar along the spine
