Definitely the 3rd setup. Background light makes a huge difference. Love your videos.

I would say that the first setup is good with no budget because many creators don't have a budget to spend on expensive gear and this setup could help them a lot. Although the third one is so amazing and we can't compare it with the first one. But according to budget, the first one is mind-blowing. And thank you for the tips.

yes absolutely, with a little bit of knowledge you can get amazing results for "free" these days with just your phone. Thanks for the kind words! :)

I like setup 1 & 2. The reason is very simple. Most people have a (very) good smartphone these days. During the day natural lighting from outside and a tripod will help everyone to create simple and beautiful videos. Personally, I will share this information with other beginners as well. Small tips, but helps a lot!
I finally got a new phone after 3 years. I'm now also experimenting a lot with my S24 Ultra to take photos and videos. I bought a second hand Zhiyun Smooth 5 because a new one was too expensive for me atm. Now just a lighting set and microphone set to go.
Thank you for your quality and educational video👍🏻

Extra gears sure enhance the video, lighting and editing are also very important. I had a gimbal from Zhiyun: Zhiyun Smooth 5 Combo Gimbal Stabilizer.

Thanks for the cool video! 🤩 I personally love natural light and windows are definitely our best friends to create cinematic looks! However, the set up number three has something nice and unique and gives this feeling that you are taking care of every single detail. 🤩

thanks for the kind words, I very much appreciate that! :) yes I also really vibe recently with the "natural" look - however as you mentions the third setup also has something to it - different looks for different projects

The second setup with a float 32 mic like Zoom M3 or Tascam 10L-Pro lav. Mic makes a huge difference. Free software like Audacity with free plug-ins for EQ, compression, etc. Personally I like Filmic Pro for the camera app over Blackmagic or iPhone because I'm not good at adjusting the LUTS and prefer the presets. Great video SFP.

I do prefer the third video with no expense but I have used the daylight through the window with a lava mic connected to the iPhone and using the rear camera and watching on my I watch to monitor my position, let’s hope the Adobe Podcast stats free as rear is some great online software. Great video.

Hello, thank you for the great video with all of the great tips! I think all three setups look great-Currently, I resonate most with the very simple setup of just an iPhone and using natural light from my front window, as natural light is free 👍 But, eventually I would love to someday achieve setup number three as it looks fabulous too!! As always, thanks so much for sharing tips and tricks as it is as much as an art form as music and a guitar practice regiment. All the best to you and team! Cheers! 👍

Thank you so much for these 3 setups. I like the 3 of them, but I think the second setup works for me considering the budget even though the third setup is very best. I think the Zyhun lights added to the second setup will be crazy.

Thanks for sharing videos like this one! They help a lot! The 3rd setup definitely looked the best. However, I'm starting a RUclips channel soon where I'll be shooting most of the videos in the field. So, for me, a setup like the 2nd one would be the best - mainly because I would want to use an external microphone rather than to fix the iPhone audio with software. Thanks again!

They were all good in their own way, however I have to go with the second setup because I like using some gear even if it's for quick shortform. Especially having good audio is a plus. I always get mad if I have to barebones a shot haha.

  • @MSPACELOG
    @MSPACELOG 2 месяца назад +1

Hi Jullian. The setup number 3 is the most professional one, but I think that if you know what you're doing with the light source, you can get pretty good results like the setup number one. It all depends on your budget and your preferences.
Normally, I record in 4K long form videos, and then I take tiny bit parts in vertical ones so I can share important information in those specific videos.
If I were to go to make specific content for vertical form, as I was dedicating into that form specifically, I would take the approach of setup 3 because it is the same approach I take to long form videos. We want the best quality possible.
But if I was starting and as we are constantly learning, definitely start for setup one.
    Nice video, as always.
    Cheers.

Still learning a lot with every video I make but that is the whole experience I'm chasing and sharing.
Channels like yours, Think Media, Creator Booth, Simon Horrocks, Editing channels, Peter, Life of Rizza, among so many others, become the inspiration for me to start in the most loved niche in my personal interests, among all others.
So.. keep up the good work and continue inspiring others.

I think it really depends on what you have with you. You can scale up or down depending on where you are going to be and what you want to carry with you. Personally I thing option 2 is the best option. Minimal gear and cost.
