Strangest thing happened to me. Got a call from a place that said that they tech replaced the belt and it was fine for a week. Next thing you know, it trips the breaker in a millisecond when you turn it on.

How much does an exhaust fan like that cost? Do people ever use it for residential? Would love to get the kitchen fan noise out of the kitchen.

Recycle. If we replace a unit, it's always because it's in too tough a shape to repair or too expensive to repair. Thus refurbishing is not common.
