this is the third or fourth comparison. one made me completely indecisive. the other convinced me of viture. but the heat issue. this is the only video to mention, and ive watched about 20 regarding xreal. if the heat is a big deal, i am back to seriously considering xreal and not the viture, though it wins in many categories. please let me know of other options. i see the xreal air ultra is preordering...
Good review!!! Seems to be unbiased so thank you for bringing your thoughts to the table! It is true that a lot of reviews in this tech sector have heavy influences from the manufacturers.
I actually just ordered a set of Viture One's. As everyone will have different use cases and expectations, I'll break mine down below so my thought process is expressed:
My Use Case:
I'm a very light gamer, though I do enjoy a AAA title now and again.
I'm not big into VR so the feature set there is a bit of a waste on me. I will use it on occasion if available, but it's not something preventing me from moving forward.
Main use would be for video viewing pleasure and light duty, single-screen, code editing. My thought would be creating an even more minimalistic work space with a small physical foot print (NOT travel related however).
A Major point: I have pretty rough astigmatism. I'd very much like to pop these off on occasion and share with my wife/kids that have different but much better prescription strengths. I believe I have one eye that is going to be maxed out for the built in diopter but I would still like to give it a go.
As for my Expectations:
A good quality image, specifically in the center of focus to provide a good workpad area.
90% or better edge definition. I've seen some back and forth on this and would like to verify it for folks.
A somewhat seamless transition (under 10 minutes of manipulation) for another user to pickup and use the device.
I will do my best to add to my comment after I have also tested them and help support this creators video. I'd love to see more folks with non biased videos have the chat more engaged so we can get these videos to the front. Thank you again!!!
