I loved the creepy vibe of Mickeyjunk Mountain. It's actually probably the closest the game got to the original concept art.

That art wasn’t true concept art. It was just created to see how far Disney would let Junction Point go with the dark tone.
Them adding the Club March where it spells out Mickey’s name adds an extra depth of unsettling undertones to this piece.

I literally squealed with delight when I saw the words, "Feat. the Mickey Mouse Club March." I went to Disneyland last week (HK Disneyland) and they were playing it in the parade, and I was the only person singing along. Sigh.

This game definately focused on the dark and twisted side of things, creepy music, Eerie bosses, that god damn clock tower, and dont even get me started on the final boss..
Knight of Creation And to think it was going to be even DARKER in the planning stages. The concept art is pure nightmare fuel.
Disney had an era where they made truly terrifying cartoons (Mad Doctor and the devil in Fantasia instantly come to my mind). Maybe they thought going back to that era was a good idea but toned it down evetually because it was too much of a contrast to Disney's current style.

@kristian rikardsen True. Gravity Falls had some scary moments. Especially the scene where blood was dripping out of the stuffed animals. I wrote that comment before I knew about the series.
This level seemed unsettling to me when I was little. One thing that scared me a lot in that level was a Mickey Mouse toy near a TV and thinner hole, and when you jumped on it it made creepy quacking noises.
It was also my favorites and it still is, but it used to seem creepy but cool. I loved the music and atmosphere, the ambience, and I liked climbing the mountain and seeing how I ascended more and more.
I didn't mind this level until I got to one area of this place where there were pushes making these damn wide eyed states then looking in the distance to a giant mickey mouse head without texture on the mountain
imagine if this is what inspired the map for getting over it
Back then i use to be scared of this stage because of that one Micky toy that had a creepy laugh to me back then that was the first time I got scared over a video game

And those Mickey gas masks, man. Now THOSE were eerie. Gotta appreciate how many references they managed to pack in one place though.
This is a really powerful song. Any type of music like this sends chills up and down my spine but in a good way. I really love epic mickey i hope they do make epic mickey 2

Mister Koopsy It was far too light and happy to me. The first game had grit, and the darkness added a brilliant atmosphere to it. It’d be interesting to see a HD remaster for Epic Mickey for a VR headset.

I was quite puzzled of why would there be so much Mickey Mouse trash in Wasteland and then I realised that it isn't just where forgotten toons go. It includes lost, discarded, no longer made toon merchandise too. Creepy.....

AcuAwaGomu nah, it definitely puts kid-friendly Mickey in a place where everything that is related to him is dumped and trashed. That was an unexpected sight to see in here even when you have the ClockTower boss that came a little earlier in the game. It also makes you think why Oswald made this place. And I am also a fan of creepy things in non-horror games, so that helps.
It’s not weird at all. This is my 3rd favorite area, behind Lonesome manor and Gremlin Village (in that order). I really like the atmosphere, and how it’s built entirely of old Mickey toys and other merchandise

It's in concert F the whole way through, but at the beginning it's 3/4, then at 3:50 it goes to 4/4, then at 3:56 it goes to 12/8 for the triplety stuff. (How do I know all of that...)

MickeyJunk Mountain can be seen in the distance in the Mean Streets. There is even an projector as well. You can't go there, though. It's inaccessible.
