I think the thing I appreciate most about the remaster so far is that Rachel looks more like she does in the missing person's posters in the original game. I'm glad they made that change. I might consider buying the Before the Storm remaster if it's sold separately from the original game, just because I don't already own Before the Storm.

Choosing Daughter to make the music for a Life Is Strange game was the best decision. Daughter‘s music transfers so many emotions to its listeners. Togehter with the rollercoaster ride of feelings of the games the music created so many memories for me! Its a pity they don‘t have the music in this trailer…

This pisses me off… Before the storm is my least favorite game in the series because of how bland the plot is… They put wayyyy more detail into the before the storm graphics than they did with the original first life is strange game… This looks like a brand new remake like a whole next gen game compared to the first game… I AM SUPER PISSED… Make it make sense why are game developers putting wayyy more effort into 1 game than the other? This isn’t even a main game it’s a side game portraying events from the past that nobody cares about… I literally had to force myself to play before the storm… Because of how boring the plot and story is… Why didn’t the game with max and kate and mr Jefferson look this detailed and look this HD? This is crazy… This is madness…
This one looks so much better! A ton of people don’t like the remastered but I think it’s pretty good especially this one! I love there face expressions, smile, lip syncing, the hair moves, and Rachel’s earring moves! It’s so cool and I can’t wait! Also Joyce is literally so beautiful

the main game should be more polished. i have a theory that BTS looks much better because it was made by Deck Nine in 2018 and was remastered by them, it’s their game. when the main game was made by other studio Dontnod in 2015.
however it’s not an excuse, just a thought. otherwise i’m disappointed that they didn’t give more love and justice to the main game and Max as a protagonist :(
@@FreshKingJohns Deck Nine that is working on these 2 remasters are also the developers that made Before The Storm, so they already got all the different materials,technology (they used Unity Engine for BTS) etc to make a proper remaster of BTS while it might have been a more difficult task to port LIS 1 (That is a Unreal Engine game) over to another engine, make sure everything is working correctly and then do the updates to textures, adding motion capture for more natural faces and everything else included with these remasters.

I JUST REALIZED. Chloe did the blue streak in her hair on the left side to match with Rachael's feather earring. It's such a small detail, but it's huge when you notice that Chloe did it because she both loved and admired Rachael. Chloe only did the one part because she was still unsure about how she felt, but she did it because she admired Rachael. In the end when she dyed all of it blue, I see that as Chloe coming to full terms that she loves Rachael with everything that she's got.

Just looked back on an old playthrough of this part and i just can't see a difference, just lighter skin tones. The facial animations were there already, i just can't see any difference. The screenshots looked so much better and cleaner

@@feldecat2x800 Unfortunately, Deck Nine doesn't own the rights to Life Is Strange 2. They only currently have the rights to Life Is Strange, Before the Storm and True Colors. Dontnod still has the rights to the second game, it's really up to them to remaster it.

YES!! This is what I was waiting for!! Life is Strange: Before the Storm. Simply phenomenal. The best of the Life is Strange series so far, in my opinion. No superpowers needed to make an interesting, full of action, quality game. It's more grounded and real than the others, with relatable characters and the stuff they're going through, beautiful and emotional music, atmospheric spaces, intense and touching events that definitely move you. Despite its flaws, the teenage drama, and the plot holes that were here and there in the attempt to connect this game with the original one, I simply fell for it. It’s changed my life to the core, and gave me feelings I’ve never experienced before. I cannot describe how I feel about it because it’s a lot more than a video game to me. It’s a goddamn experience, a part of my life, no matter how cheesy this may sound.
And now, the most beautiful game to me, became even more beautiful 💙

This remaster looks ten times better than the one for the original game. The only criticism that I have is Rachel's makeup; it's too intense and makes her look a lot older than 15. Rachel's original look was perfect the way it was.
Yeah, I don't get why they caked her up.... She looks more natural / realistic in the original...
@Jay Laliberte No, they weren't. If you recall, BtS took place in Spring 2010 during Chloe and Rachel's sophomore year of high school, which meant that they were either 15 or 16. Chloe had already turned 16 because she was born in March, but Rachel was still 15 because her birthday wasn't until July.
Anyway, their exact ages are beside the point. I still don't like Rachel's makeup here, and I think it makes her look way too mature, lol. Plus, her subtler makeup and cat eye suit her character much better. Her makeup in the remaster seems more like something she would've worn to a rock concert, where she was able to freely be a 'bolder and wilder Rachel' rather than the perfect princess that everyone at school perceived her to be.
@@elise3455 Agree. Her makeup in the original looks so much better and brings out her natural beauty. They did the same thing with Max in the LiS 1 remaster. It looks like she has a lot more mascara and eyeshadow on now.
Yeah, I feel the same way. Rachel’s makeup makes her eyes look more crusty. Hopefully this is not the complete version. This game is obviously little undone so I hope the complete version looks WAY more amazing than this.

I really enjoyed Before The Storm and they really did a great job with the details in this particular remaster, especially with Rachel with things like her hair, earrings and makeup. Also, the facial expressions are great too. Well done 💯

So her hands don’t have grease on them like in the original, is that like a creative change or is this an early version of the game? or do they not always have grease depending on your choices I can’t remember, but i’m pretty sure that’s why she grabs the sheet.

Personally, all I see if facially smoothness turned up and increased exposure. It kills any freckles, wrinkles, ect the characters originally had. It’s more noticeable in dark exposure scenes where they look extremely cake faced.

It's up to you. If you want the full-on experience, then perhaps do the original games first, then remastered, (unless you are referring to playing either LIS: BTS or LIS first?)

Play first Life is Strange and then Before the Storm. You will have the experiences who all LiS players from 2015 haved.

Play LIS, then do BTS.
It's similar to going ahead and watching the original Star Wars Trilogy before watching the Prequel Trilogy in helping to give context of what's going on and whatnot.

Some of the trailers/previews/screenshots were impressive and others disappointing, so I had no idea what to make of this game! I did a live reaction on my channel and I was initially impressed, but overall I think this game is probably not worth it to buy if you already own the original.
