Let's hope Ferrari updates work. Greed is moving more races to America, soon be like the World Series, which ain't the world or anything like it. Zhou, is not that good, just brings dosh, give some rookie chance. Can HAAS sell in china (there are American embargo on some stuff). Sainz could end up out on a limb if things go wrong. as of this week Miami is the gold std for new F1 races. Yes the track could be better. but you could say that about 1/2 of the F1 tracks. when you consider the whole weekend experience it's the new std.

Mercedes has ppl good with engines and battery issues which they need for the new regulations. They also have good aeros but the vehicle stability ppl have let them down.
Next year Merc will be really fast, constantly getting P2 behind Max. With Ferrari becoming ridiculously slow the next year.
And McLaren? Also becoming slow?

I believe f1 wouldn’t be what it is without Ferrari but I don’t think they have done as well as they should have in the last 10 years and still everyone talks about them like they are the goats of F1 I don’t quite understand
The Northeast US is the most densely populated area of the whole country. Too bad there's no race tracks in New York, or New Jersey, or New England, or Virginia... FFS What needs to happen to Wakins Glen or VIR to have a race there?? .. Could you imagine these cars down the backstretch at VIR?! those esses .. or the Glen, they'd probably take the carousel flat. I think everyone would be happy.
The only permanent tracks in the US that are grade 1 certified are COTA and Indy. Any other track would need massive changes and renovations. the Glen and VIR would have to cut down most of the trees that make those tracks so iconic.

With Andretti trying to get into the sport and all the pushback from FOM, i think it makes sense for Haas to play up its "American roots" by picking up Sargent in an effort to lessen the value of Andretti being "all American".

I enjoy your channel and follow it dutifully, but I must take issue with your assessment of Miami, as you wish it would go away based on a chicane and all of the celebrities. Chill Magnussen have had 2 bad races and 1 of them he still gained Haas the point (Hulken would not have had the chance to get the point had it not been Magnussen, as the gap was super small even after Magnussen slowed down the field in sector 1 for multiple laps) He did better than Hulkenberg in Bahrain, where Hulkenberg was the one to crash himself out, he did better than Hulkenberg in Australia (Hulkenberg was lucky with the VSC that Magnussen could not benefit from) and Japan was a bad weekend for Haas
Miami is here to stay. The amount of exposure that race gets in the sports and entertainment world is insane. There are a lot of eyes on that race. Especially since it bumped an NBA playoff game out of its spot. Not to mention, it was game 7 loser go home. Fans across the pond may not get the significance of that, but for Americans to be watching enough F1 to bump one of the major sports leagues out of its time slot during the playoffs is unthinkable. Miami is here to stay.

If I was Jim Ratcliffe of INEOS, I'd demand Toto's immediate resignation. Yes, Toto is a 33% shareholder of the Mercedes F1 team, but if he's no good at running the team anymore, and is responsible for losing hundreds of engineers to rival teams since 2021, then he should vacate his position. Toto is NOT the management genius some people made him out to be. He inherited a team that was on ascendancy from Ross Brawn back in 2014.

And then you add on top the cringe factor, the lack of soul (its in a car park)
COTA and Vegas both provide more sceptical, better racing and have half the cringe.
All the missing classics/2010 tilke tracks (Sepang, Turkey, India, Hokenheim, Nurburgring) produce just as good racing for half the cost to fans and half the enviromental footprint

i didnt really believe in the merc downfall until now. not because of the engineers leaving necessarily, but the fact that allison, who is very respectable, has not created a car thats worthy of the team. the teams systems are rotten. after all those years of championships, its crazy. rbr is barely about to keep it together for 3 years, merc did it for 8. unbelievable that it has truly come apart like this
Allison is respectable, but not anything close to Newey or Byrn.
The cars where he was the main TD are the 09-13 Renault/Lotus (bad-ok)
The 2014-16 Ferrari (14 was shit, 15 was good, 16 was decent)
and the 2019-2021 Merc.
And the Mercs were a inherited concept. All allison had to do was not make a bad front and rear wing for the 19 rule changes.
And he would have had a large role in implementing the zero pods
