I have always wondered what she thought about this. I had read her first autobiography (Prarie Tale) and the very next book I read was Rob Lowes first autobiography (Stories I only Tell My Friends) and I had to chuckle because she gave him at least a chapter and it seemed he gave her a paragraph. Later I read Rob's second book (Love Life) and it was so dull and came off as a little pompous IMO. Glad to see they are both doing well. I am through my biography phase for a few years at least. The ones I enjoyed the most were by Michael J Fox (Lucky Man) and an older one by Rubin Hurricane Carter (The 16th Round).

I think he was a bigger deal too her than she was too him obviously, i think rob was wanting too play the field especially being that young ,i really didnt see him being tied down,and her as well
She's being a bit snarky here. Maybe she wasn't "dismissed," maybe he was being respectful.

He isn't the same guy as when many who are vouching for him but alcohol, drugs, and an abusive relationship will change a person over time, until one becomes virtually unrecognizable in character. Sad but true.

IMO, She had to know a gorgeous guy like Rob Lowe was only interested in her to further his career. He admitted to dating his current wife two years into the relationship with Gilbert while he and Gilbert were still a "couple". Gilbert was a plain-looking girl who was on a popular series, he was a burgeoning good-looking actor whose affiliation with Gilbert could only help his career. So perhaps she was a lot more invested than he was, which is why after a seven-year relationship, she gave him a chapter and he gave her a paragraph. It is a sad but unfortunate reality for a lot of people. People get used so their partners can further their careers. Look at Jerry Hall, she was dating the decent-looking singer Bryan Ferry which elevated her notoriety, then jumped shipped for ugly Mick Jagger because he was a bigger meal ticket.
She was not plain looking. Melissa was/is pretty.

Melissa was very plain. Bordering on homely. To say otherwise is completely off base.
Jealous much. Rob Lowe has had an actual career Missy Gilbert really hasn’t She continues to live off prairie fumes sadly. Yooo.
