I would love to see this finished as Tim wanted, it would be amazing to see him join in on the build too, it obviously means a lot more to him than he is letting on
Back in the late 70s I got a call from a friend, his sister (17 years old) broke down in a town about 30 miles away. Didn't know what was wrong and asked me to look at it. Her brother and I loaded up some hand tools and headed out to see if we could get it back on the road. By the way, it was a 69 charger with a 440 6 pack. Turned out the front drivers side wheel spindle had snapped off. We drove around for 6 hours to find a scrap yard that had one to sell (12$ U.S.) by 8 PM we were driving it home for her.
Now I don't believe you even had a friend !!!!!!! Hilborn injector stacks sticking out the hood? Front spindles never break.......Hey, did your Uncle Bosie get eaten by cannibals?
Sam, this is the first ever comment I have left on any of the channels that I watch. The reason for breaking my silence? I simply had to congratulate you on buying what I consider to be the greatest MOPAR vehicle ever built. I look forward to all associated content. Well done!
Put 4 planks of a meter inside the lorry. Then when you hit gravel with a motor stand or anything heavy. Just put two planks in front and two planks under the wheels.
What a serious machine!, getting scarce in this part of the world now!, another fast and furious charger or General Lee? Or restore it to original factory spec?
Sam, that thing's gonna be a BEAST!! Can't wait!! It would look awesome with a set of Centerline Convo-Pros on it. Whatever ya do I hope ya don't put on any trailer-park black, retro-mod wheels, like has been polluting the car scene for 2 decades. I do admit the black Nascar wheels looked great for the Nascharger though. Cheers from North Carolina!! 😎👍
Another classic American muscle car! Great purchase Sam. Although, I'm not sure about the colour yellow. Might be worth checking the paperwork for the original colour or other original colours available at the time.
Man not only are the parts rare as hens teeth in the UK but also very expensive even in the US. There’s a couple for sale where I live here in Puerto Rico where they’re rare as can be and rusted out cars needing practically everything are going for 20k and seen some people sell parts like fenders and spares for thousands.
I bought a 69 Charger R/T in 1978. A 383 with a 727 Torqueflite automatic. 8 3/4 rear end. I put an Offenhauser 2-4 bbl afb’s on it. Also some Headman headers and MT aluminum valve covers. Hit the streets looking for trouble. Sure wish I had that car back. I kept my 70 Challenger and 70 GTX. Drive them quite often. Benefits of living in NC. But I still miss my 69 Charger.
Cant wait for this build will be epic have u considered making it a every day car but putting a more modern v8 in it something like out the red eye or something similar ❤❤
I hope you have the original motor to this car. I would love to see this car back at its original state. It is one of my favorite cars ever. Good luck guys.
I would flip one of the 440 engines and order a crate motor from the USA. Then offer that crate motor to the guy this car comes from. Get the original (numbers matching) engine with the car. Build the other 440 put that in the car. And sell it with original numbers matching engine AND a 440 in the car making it a very valueable car. Then flip it. And invest the money in another project.
I was just about to comment 'that's a '69 Charger' but then you explained about the grille 😂 My number 1 lottery garage car. Have you seen that there's a General rep. for sale on the bay of E in Lincolnshire? My ten pen'orth; restore to factory on the outside/inside with the entire catalogue of QA1 parts underneath (get rid of the torsion bars/leafs/drums) and Holley Sniper II injection. Full cliche with the wheels (Torque Thrust D's) but in a larger diameter and width for decent brakes and modern rubber. Make it go/stop/steer like a much more modern car. Not that I've given this prospect much consideration over the years 😂😂
Hmmmmm! Oh man, turn this up to 11, Build Yellow Superbird, Big front nose and massive wing! But it's yellow so, get some Jordan F1 hornet style decals like they had on their F1 cars.
One TIP Dont use auto focus. so it wont focus on things that look like they have facial features because one it focuses on that it wont do it on your face. Im sure there must be a video of someone that nows what you should buy and it does not have to cost 5000 pounds
Hi this looks like my father's old car that I'm looking for to see if it's still built do you happen to have a vin I also have all the paper work for the car and some louvers and other parts left over from the car please get in contact thanks.
Citron yellow, no shit, let me guess, she's got a 440, and he's got a dirty marry crazy larry poster up in his loft, theirs one near me I see from time to time, also this yellow was coppied by GM for the current gen corvette, called Rapid yellow, its a unique hue that shows up lime green on the old style cameras of the time, hence why everyone thought it was something else, kinda like kirk's shirt in TOS, gold but it looked green thanks to the cameras back then which even shows up here when you go from 8:37 to 9:22 also I'm more impressed with the paint, 35 years outside and it looks like that, the actual cars been garaged and is a rot hole, whoever painted that provided theirs nothing hiding under it, did a good job as theirs certain points I remember junker up bringing, namely around the rear rockers where they like to hold water, as they just didnt do the drainage properly also the other way you can tell the 68's and the 69's are the turn signals, 69's square, 68 round, which sadly kinda ruined one of the episodes of the dukes of hazzard for me once I picked up on it
A manual Hellcat Demon swap OR .... go mental with Viper V10 engine in it😅 2 tan Detroit muscle needed 2b muscle around its 1st left turn out from the garage 🤣
This is just my opinion. Keep the car yellow, even though you don’t care for that color. The car looks amazing just the way it stands out and says hell yeah brother I’m coming after you lol
It’s a 1969 not a 70 charger. The 70 had a one piece tail light not a split pair. The front had a wrap around front bumper not a lower bumper with a split grill. I had a 1969 Charger RT with a 440, wish I never sold it.
I had a '70 charger 500 for 34 YEARS! , I built / installed a 550 stroker engine , Built torque flite , 8 3/4 w/ 323 's , O.E. type 2 styled wheels , new G 70 14's , ORIGINAL plumb crazy purple w/ white vynle top and white interior w/high back buckets and cinsole , 92.000 ACTUAL MILES on car , 3,000 ACTUAL miles on the drive train ! , stolen and illegally sold. by a relative ! 😢😢 That is NOT a '70 it's a '69 . F.Y.I. the steering wheel with the circular horn ring is extremely rare ! . I've been maintaining , repairing and modifying chrysler products and ford products for 51 years . I WOULD NOT turn any engine over that was sitting a long time ! I'd disconnect spark plug wires and ignition coil pull all spark plugs and squirt 3 - 5 pumps of engine oil in all the cylinders , turn the engine over with the starter for 30 SECONDS , Install spark plugs , attach plug wires and coil wire , carefully pour fresh gas in float bowl vents , start and IDLE ONLY for 1/2 HOUR , then change the oil and filter = ready to test or test drive .
Tim's the coolest cat on your side of the pond!
I agree
What happened to rear lower valance lol that ain’t factory
I would love to see this finished as Tim wanted, it would be amazing to see him join in on the build too, it obviously means a lot more to him than he is letting on

That’s epic!! I love how these cars can actually be repaired so easily
The 6 pack or “6 barrel” as plymouth calls it is actually 3 carburetors with 2 barrels each hence 2x3=6
@@keithpearson7059 call it what you want, it was still referred to as a 6 pack.
Now I don't believe you even had a friend !!!!!!!
Hilborn injector stacks sticking out the hood?
Front spindles never break.......Hey, did your Uncle Bosie get eaten by cannibals?
Am I the only one that sees a 1969 grille.....car still looks amazing.....😎👍
Has the 1969 taillight treatment too, so it seems to be a 69, unless someone went through a lot of trouble to change a lot of sheet metal.
Yeah, it's a '69.
WOW! Please give this car what it deserves and restore it
WOW a complete Monster machine .I always loved them after watching BULLET way back when it first aired .👍👍👍👏👏👏
Bullitt. Not bullet
Cracking find Sam, looks like the one from DMCL, still regret selling my solid 68 Charger back in 2006 for 11K.
That has got to be the single sweetest, complete, and straightest orphaned Charger.
Awesome mate ,I've always loved these dodge charger's. Look forward to this build, great video .cheers from Noosa Australia 🇦🇺
Love that Ford grand Torino in that garage. I hope it is a station wagon. Those are WILD.

This must have been an absolute dream. Very jealous over here! Looking forward to seeing it back on the road in no time! ♥
Simply the most exciting rebuild project out there ! 💪👊
Another classic American muscle car! Great purchase Sam. Although, I'm not sure about the colour yellow. Might be worth checking the paperwork for the original colour or other original colours available at the time.
Outstanding project which deserves to be brought back to it's full glory.
Paint it orange , put 01 on the doors , ride out 👍👍👍
Awesome 😎 & a Big FOA 👈😉
Very cool car will be following this build. Congratulations
Nice find 👌 it's got to be orange I thin🔥
Can't believe you don't have more subs. Videos are great.
Dirty Mary Crazy Larry ;-)

Classic muscle , l think you want the sportier wood rimmed three spoke with the holes optional steering wheel for this beauty !
Used truck gold my friend that is an absolutely beautiful looking car

Beast of a car, jaguars caviar paint would look great, like a deep black cherry red. 😮
Featured on Google News Feed Sam the Man !! Awesome Stuff !!
Another amazing video ❤
Thanks matey
Chuffed for you lad, what an absolute monster!!
In the states OR across the pond, MOPAR love knows no bounds.
I'm gonna watch this. What a find.
Awesome brother !!!! Is a jewel

Yes mate super bad ass!!

I'm sure your camera man was jumping up and down as he ran round the back of that house. LOL
lol we had a new camera set up and our gimbal wasn’t working lol will be working on the stability:) thanks for watching matey
This is my true money no option dream car right here ❤
Go for dark pearl bronze, satin roof and black deep dish wheels.
I was gonna say Root Bear but hell yeah Bronze works too!
Nice find looks like it has a 8 3/4 in it

Hmmmmm! Oh man, turn this up to 11, Build Yellow Superbird, Big front nose and massive wing!
But it's yellow so, get some Jordan F1 hornet style decals like they had on their F1 cars.
The Superbird was 1970, based off the Roadrunner. He could do a 69 Daytona though if he got the correct back window.
Boom 🎉
It was the Nascharger series that got me into your videos. Really hope you can replicate something similar to keep this time.
Freddy can have his P1... That Beauty you have is f'n priceless!!
Super cool, but like why is it all ripped apart what happened? Tell us the story explain like what why
I feel a lot of work is heading towards Josh with a road trip for Sam & Josh as a Finale.
Instantly thought of the 1993 US movie Josh and S.A.M. lol
Orange 01🤠👍
She’s a beauty. Mopar or no car !
That car is a gold mind.
What a pretty car to show off the importance of better quality video.
Thanks matey :) appreciate your comment
One of the most iconic cars ever made!
I rode in the 69 when i was a child i am 64 and the 69 charger has always been my dream car😊
Sweet ride.
Most of these I saw new were metallic blue - great color.
Nice find
Yeah, Charger back in the channel
Pretty car......
What a beaut….. Sam you have to make It into the General Lee ✨👌✨
That's why I watch Coffee Walk
Fuck yeah sad that it was never driven but fuck yeah
Sam's father is Gandalf!!!!!!!!! freakin awesome!!!!!

I'd go all factory original. But that's my opinion.
Can’t you do another fast and furious car like the black one
i subbed for this hope it doesn't go the way the ferrari did
Dont give another one away sam please. I know how much the other one meant with your dad. This has similar story. You deserve this
It is a 69 charger with the taillights
If it was rebuildt as a 69 as it is now, the front fenders are different too. Not the same on 69 and 70 models.
The front fenders, bonnet and grill were changed years ago
Doors too @@Hardupgarage
I'd leave it yellow.
It makes a statement.
It’s a 1969 not a 70 charger. The 70 had a one piece tail light not a split pair. The front had a wrap around front bumper not a lower bumper with a split grill. I had a 1969 Charger RT with a 440, wish I never sold it.

Left handed lug nuts on one side, correct
That's a 69 not a 70.The front Grille and rear Tailights on a 70 are very different and quite obvious
The car is a 70 but has a 69 front end it’s very similar

And 69-70 had the same rear lights the 68 had different lights :)
Original 🙏
Original green
Absolutely
@@ForeverDownByLaw maybe with a white Mopar tail stripe, but definitely factory original, it can't be too common a colour

The whole front was swapped but he gave us the original front end too :)
I honestly envy u right know lol could I get a drive in it lol
