We use to use this phrase "Polishing Turds" many many years ago while fixing machines in a factory where I worked. I love the song. Channel is very informative, interesting, real, and funny. Thanks.
It’s like I’m getting to go to the Harvard of drag racing school but I get to learn all this at my house. Thanks Pete sincerely I always have my notebook out when I watch your channel.
March 4 1988 I was 16, and we just got back to buddies house after seeing Rush live at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. Megadeth Anarchy in the UK came on Headbangers Ball. I was still tripping a bit from some blotter. It was an impressionable moment, song, and video - so much so I had to tell you that story. Thanks Pete!
Lmfao! Hysterical title! Just new to your stuff from watching Finnegan's channel and I see why he said your hysterical. I was wondering about your soundtrack until I saw you in front of a few goodies that make good sounds stuff, so I reckon your the maestro. I'm up in Pawtucket Rhode Island not doing as much stuff as I used to. Shit happened, but I can enjoy watching your talents and y'all having fun, so I reckon I'm good at doing that sort of stuff. Glad I found your channel. I think Mike needs a wheely bar, not two gaudy ones that stick way out, just a single discreet one that sits in the middle like I've seen on a car or two running Drag Week, that thing bites hard with your killer Hemi build! Thanks 👍
Great video. Would really like to see it back on the dyno with the new converter so you can talk about the new characteristics. And what the tighter converter did. Please keep the videos going on this season 2 build !
Just watched Putting Leroy Back together and had to subscribe... love the music track.... I play to this kind of Rock everyday but clicked on for the Motor build .... I'm old.. I like all this stuff... and then this vid que-ed and I love the song that kicked this thing off.... lmao ! big time.... (paused to comment) back to the vid!
That sounded like stomping on a cat..not just steppin. Very noticeable difference, yall are amazing, love the details for dummies(me) I know enough to get me in trouble. Love your videos!!
Man i love the sound of procharged/ centrifugal superchargered cars when you can really hear them screaming at idle Cant wait to see leroy rip with your motor to!
Megadeath t-shirt 😮. I didn't think I could love this man more, but here we are adding to the list. Symphony of Destruction is my fave metal song ever, and memories are abundant when that song plays.
MAN! I had a 95 tacoma with the 3rz 2.7 4cyl and 5speed and that 4cyl turned lt325/60r18's surprisingly well in any gear but 5th. I dream to have another 3rz 4cyl and 5spd to slam under my 94 Saturn sc2. I'm telling ya that 4cyl is an amazing engine though!
Saw an interview where you briefly talked about the differences between a hub dyno and a wheel dyno...looked like you could do an entire episode on it...inquiring minds need to know...
Step one: give away or throw away the lt1. Sell it if you can find someone dumb enough. A decent LS won’t cost any more than the first fried optispark. Especially with forced induction the LS platform is just cheaper easier power. Good luck.
Wouldn't a tunable converter be sick if it were able to be done while still mounted in the transmission if it were somehow possible that would be sweet. Dont ask me how youd do it lol
My boss loves listening to me talk to customers about their setups and parts they might need. He says it’s like watching wizards work. I’ve always loved converters, and grew up down the street from Neal Chance they’re so freakin important.
@@BigDonk420 I build cars for a private collector but we take in one off jobs, once a every couple months. Usually a friend of a friend kind of thing, mostly for sand drag chassis around here but they all use converters. I’m just about to start putting together a stock block 376 solid roller with twins for the Porsche I’m building which means I’m going to have to stalk to my converter guy soon. I’ve always enjoyed making a chassis work which means I need to know how a converter affects the tune up. I always had 4-6 different converters ready to swap out depending on what a car needed. Now I can tune up the spare and swap it real quick. Bolt together converters were a lifesaver. I’m an enthusiast at best. Pete is the pro.

Most authentic channel on RUclips!! Huge fan of all your videos.
My boy Pete made a song just for me. I feel so blessed. 😂 I never laughed at an intro so hard lol
Damn thing sounds like a top fuel hit on the phone. Pete is the man!
Thanks for the time and effort you put into these videos Pete!

Great video and tech analysis to boot. Polishing turds was a resounding success. Thanks for the update.

Best technical show on the RUclips’s , complete with tape graphics. Keep it coming.
Great episode. Thanks for explaining in detail more about how everything affects torque converter design.
I like to believe that Donk is Petes daily.
Pete, you rock! Love polishing turds. Peace
About time we got a new polishing turds video.
I couldn’t wait to see this follow-up Pete. Thanks for the time out for us who don’t know it all.

Always a ton of information
Definitely the best intro music on yt 🙌
That rocket ship of a truck is going to hurt some feelings LOL😅
Just your theme music automatic thumbs up👍👍👍
Read my mind. Thanks Pete.
That was a heckin good post fix.
That song is an earworm.
Excellant class room information. Good stuff. Like button energized.
The main take away is we are important enough that you put a shirt on for us, appreciate you for that
I knew that the 1200cfm billet, blow through quadrajet was the way to go!!

MEGADETH to that torque converter!🤘🏼😈🤘🏼
Top video Pete

Well polished!
Need to get the torque converter and the exhaust and possibly a few other things like Pete mentioned in the video
I absolutely love the indoor outdoor dyno! that is not a thing out here on the west coast.
I feel like Pete just made the theme song freestyling in the booth while cleeter ripped on the guitar in the most murican guitar rip 😂
What would the benefit (if any) be to having a lock up converter?
Duck yeah Pete!
Cool tunes
Are you going to be doing tuning for Cleetus' Eagle and the Proline Hemi?
Awesome intro jam
Thanks for another great video!

GREAT INTRO!
Good to see Red
Intro is bomb
Great content thanks for sharing
I definitely need to re-watch this series. Just acquired a 1996 LT1 car and want to run a vortech

Thanks for the video.
I think it would be worth a shot trying the white background when sharing data. It could be a bit easier to see? Maybe..
Major improvement!!
hope u have been to walmart to pick up new tune keep up the good fight best grafik's on uboob
Thx for the videos
so many don't compare boost at the same RPM. Also, explaining how a more efficient motor "eats" more air resulting in more power at less boost#. 👍
So, are you going to get LeRoy in the mid 6's? Love your channel.
Let's friggin goooo! This whole project is asinine.
Badass guys perfect truck💪🏼🏁
Glad to see u post a video pete
You did an awesome job ! What is your go to converter company? Thanks for the great videos.
Can you do a video about timing with boost in a SBC? I get so many different answers I don't know what to believe.
VERY NICE!
Megadeath #METALRULES
Love me a small block with a blower
Can’t you lock the converter for a dyno test? Would that help with slip?
Waiting for an M50 build but till then I come and watch whatever you got.
Thumbs up for Borat!
Do all the engines your shop builds come with warranty?
This? This is awesome.
Does every engine your shop builds have a warranty?
Love your channel mate! What blower and how fast you spinning it please?
Forgot my PIN number. Watched RGADS. Steel caint remember PIN, but now i git a higher boost number is just a sign of higher restriction
Cant remember exactly but was this on ethonal
Do you just watch oil temp on engine like this or is heating the block a non issue once you fill water jackets?
I don’t know so I need to know how would you tell converter slip from tire slip
If converter specs matter in a 2003 trailblazer ext with a 270hp i6, it’s much more an issue in 1000hp+ racing.
Hard to beat a small block Chevy 👍🏻
Greatest country! U S and A.

are you just a parts tech or converter specialist jw ?
