Incredible Humpback Whales Feeding! (Veggie Whale part 2)

Last year, a bizarre activity was filmed by us for the first time, with the various captains on the water humorously calling the whales partaking in it "The Veggie Whales". Then, there was one, maybe two whales participating in this behavior. This year, 2023, there were at least four, and as many as seven whales that were feeding in this way, and their technique was much more refined! We were also able to see what sorts of fish they were feeding on, and it appears to be mostly Smelt, baby Cod, and Hooligan!
A remarkable behavior, it opens up whole worlds of theories about Humpback Whale feeding techniques, and how they are able to use and exploit the features of their environment! How many other techniques are out there, unique to sub-populations and prey? The possibilities as we look deeper into these animals are endless!
