Hey guys! I've decided to make this piece of exclusive members only content public to show what we have behind the paywall. For interviews I'll always put out edited versions on the channel but you can watch the uncut and full version on Patreon and RUclips memberships. We also have a full multipart collection video behind the paywall, where I show all the Atari stuff in my possession and what we have to cover for the channel! I also do some odds and ends side content like Atari console tier lists. And Patreons get exclusive "audio only" updates where I just talk about what's going on with the channel. Finally, all RUclips members get access to videos as soon as they're done, so usually a day or two early. You also get monthly pick up and unboxing videos. But most of all the RUclips membership money and Patreon money goes back into the channel. I've been able to improve the microphones, get more stuff to cover, and even pay artists and musicians to do music and art for the channel. Thank you all for checking this interview out and thanks for all the support. Leaving likes and comments is always the best and most effective way to support any RUclips channel! And remember to Stay Classy Atarians! -7800 Pro Gamer
9:15 Not only is that not the first Colecovision homebrew, it's not even the first Colecovision Space Invaders Collection. That goes to John Dondzilla. He also released a Barney game along with a poor star castle clone. There was also Kevtris which was a pretty early (before 02) Colecovision game.
I don't know how he plans on handling the 7800, but the Colecovision is a real pain. The games come and go in terms of availability. It's not like there is an ever expanding library of games. A game comes out and is released in relatively small quantities and then disappears. Once in a while an older game gets a second small release. I think collectorvision works the same way.
We have been keeping all our games available since we started doing this full time in early 2023. And we have been adding new games since then. The plan is to keep a particular game available for as long as there is demand.
Glad they're bringing these games back but I'm still waiting on a the SGM expansion and a couple games I ordered back in April. The SGM was listed as available when I placed the order then became unavailable when my order got processed, I guess, and was basically placed in back order. Didn't find out this happened until I emailed them asking asking where my order was at after a month or so. Not a good initial impression for me 😕
Sorry to hear about your experience. We usually have the SGM in stock, but we ran out a few months ago. The challenge with the SGM is that it uses a custom edge connector, which is made to order and typically takes several months to arrive. The good news is that we’re receiving new boards tomorrow, so modules should be ready to ship in a couple of weeks.
@@TheAtariNetwork I'm thinking the same thing Jon about the background music , especially the background music was a bit too loud but thanks anyway, it's was only a detail to me, your channel is very interesting and you are doing great work, and having Opcode in the 7800 bandwagon is a great addition to this community

I ordered two games. You need to get Galaxian next!
Galaxian is great!
I’ve been pushing for Popeye to become a Super Smash Bros character for years and years now. My kids think I’m nuts.
That would be a cool inclusion. And a deep cut for Nintendo fans!
Great interview! I'm def getting all 3 games once the website is fixed. Rhode Island, i could just drive over and pick em up!
He seems like a cool guy maybe you could hang out!
The character popeye becomes public domain in 2025.
🎉
It's not UA you have to worry about. It's Nintendo.
Just enjoy whatever comes out, you dont need to worry about anything else!!

I never said we were the first ColecoVision homebrew. I said we were the first to offer professionally printed boxes and custom cartridge cases.
@@opcodegames I must have misheard it.
I bet those re-releases would probably update the code so it can run on the 2600+/7800+.
@@Mohammed1000real they've all been confirmed as working on the 2600 and assuming the 7800 plus running the latest firmware.

Opcode is the best!
There’s a Popeye game and box, complete on E-bay right now for $700

@@opcodegames I understand these things happen but this could have been communicated better. Well, hopefully I'll get the SGM soon.
Thanks for sharing this interview, though I'd prefer hearing it without the background music which I found a bit too obtrusive.

What made you believe that adding music in the background of an interview is a good idea? IT'S HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!
I honestly didn't think it was bad. But if enough people complain I don't put it in anymore.
@@TheAtariNetwork I am hearing impaired, so it might be worse for me than others.
@tarstarkusz your the second person to bring it up so maybe it's not a smart choice for the future. Thanks for the input
Would not mind trying again, but with the volume down, on the fence how I feel about it. Maybe one more go on it?
@@C_Money206 I'll post the version with no music
