Hi Guys! I just found your site. This Dad and son duo is amazing. You guys really work well together. Today is my 71st Birthday. My late dad bought me a brand new 1968 LeMans. Same 350, black over gold. We shared it till I graduated in 70. Then it was all mine. I dressed it up with Keystone mags. Thanks for the memories as Dad died in 1978. Great Guy!!!! Keep it goin' I love you guys!
I love watching how you two get along so good as father and son working together. I lost my dad this year on his birthday. I wished we worked that well together.
So sorry for your loss. Thank you so much for watching. We appreciate you!
I agree. My dad and I working together was like fire and water, not good. LOL. I like this car, a keeper at least worth taking it to it's limits and best it can be. I know, many want to change out the distributor but I ask why. Nothing wrong with points and condenser as was original and from what I can tell by just the video that distributor looks in very good shape. Just have to change them points and condenser each year or so. A good set of points and condenser run about $50 bucks these days. Used to be able to walk in any store back then and get a set for around $5-7 bucks. Change them out about anywhere, even without a feeler gauge and be able to get home. I used to keep a new set in the trunk just in case.
@@ckstaff You are lucky, at leas to get to work with your dad on something. My dad was so busy that he just comes home in time for dinner then goes to his room. I never asked him to help me with my homework or anything that is upsetting. Same with my mom. Eventhough that was the case, I love them both dearly and miss them so much. I was very young when they passed away.
WAW so great to see that old US motor brought back to life. Fantastic wheels and what a beautiful car in great color and design. Thanks!
Bloody good job with the Pontiac guys my hat's off to you both.👍👏👏👏👏👏👏
One of my favourite times of the week when everyone is still in bed on a Saturday morning, I make a nice coffee and watch the latest Restored/Turnin Rust. Great job guys.
Those old muscle cars had the best stance and this beauty is no exception! Nice job guys!
Can’t believe how much those new wheels and tires changed the whole look of the car! They are perfect!! Nice find, really enjoyed the video. 👍🏼👍🏼
The first car I ever owned was a 1980 Trans Am. I've always had a soft spot for Pontiacs and Dodge's. And I love that you gave the seller an opportunity to get involved in the video and the reclamation. He must have loved that. God bless you.
i remember when you pulled her out of the barn, so glad to see her back on the channel and being worked on, she's a beauty, a true survivor
I love how upgrading the wheels immediately brings out the potential in this car.
Of all car restoration channels, I think, while the restoration was certainly impressive, what was more impressive were your manners and compassion towards the family. Many restoration channels like to snap up and hose down cars as a quick flip for views. You guys are amongst the good ones, what a great team and a great job. 👍🏼
Thank you guys for reviving history again and thank you for your respect for these cars of great value
GREAT VIDEO GUYS !! YOUR BOTH ARE SAVERS,, AMEN.. OF CARS I AM NOT SURE IF I HAVE SEEN THIS VIDEO BEFORE I REMEMBER THE ROUND BACK WINDOWS,, YOU DONT SEE THESE IN A PONTIAC''S THAT OFTEN . THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Beautiful stuff man.I can say theres no one better to have done this job.The care you guys take in bringin one back is top notch.Well thought out, planned, and executed.
Rghyttyyyuuuuhjjjjjkhj
I like how you kept it simple and straight to the point. You got some classy guys and have a classy ship with great character and full of honesty. I respect a whole lot. Let's see more projects & keep up the great work
I had forgotten how good the Pontiac LeMans looked. Job well done guys 🏁
😮 1:07:12 😂❤😊
This car is very dear to my heart ; when i was born my Dad had a 1972 Lemans Sport with a 400 c.i. in Anaconda Gold color and that is the best looking car he had in all the ones he had after that until his passing in 2009. If i ever win the lottery, THAT is the 1st thing on my wish list, to buy one and build an exact replica of my Dad's to enjoy for the rest of my life. In the meantime i'm the proud owner of my own classic Pontiac ; a 1968 Beaumont (Canadian Chevelle) that i've owned for 13 years and i'm at my 3rd one, all 1968 but all different engines. Love your channel and hope you guys will still be around for a long time !
Bring them to life… put a 455 ram air in the Pontiac! I have a 1970 SJ Grand Prix… it had a 455 Ram Air… FAST
Awesome car. Congrats on being able to save it and bring it back to life. 🚙🚙🚙
Bravo, Team Turnin Rust! Another great vid. I watched a Restored vid this morning. Part 2 of the unibody camper soon to be diesel machine! Keep up the great work!
I was wondering when you were going to clear the windshield, so you can see where your going, disconnecting the fuel line to the tank is usually one of the 1st steps in getting a will it start car going. The Mortske points flick helped, the pontiac turned out to be a decent looking car. Good luck in finishing it up.
Yes, the quilt on the windshield was bothering me the whole time. It didn’t bother either one of them. It just goes to show you some people don’t see that is being disgusting but these guys do an excellent job of getting old cars running. They’re a great team.
Di dol ura bos kui
MY SON MAX 8 YR.S OLD SAYS PART 2,, YES!!!
As a Pontiac owner myself, I glad that this lemans got rescued! Would love to see an underside transformation a nice exhaust system! Defiantly gonna stay tuned!!
I’ve been watching you for so long I remember this one. I love this car. I bet if you did a little more work, it would be a very reliable car. Buff it out and spit shine it. I love this channel ❤️
first vid that drew me in was that blue trans-am that was sitting for 10 years or something, great content
Just because it's old doesn't make a "muscle " car, that little 2bbl is a grocery getter. I still love it !
That is a really cherry LeMans. I hope you will keep us in the loop with whatever else you do. And By the Way, the editing has really become upscale! Nice work.
She definitely deserves some rust repairs can't wait to see more on her ❤
Rite
Someone was looking down on this old gal. She is going to make a beautiful ride.
Man I felt that intro.
Man! That's a gorgeous looking car! Great job guys!👍👍👍👍
I bet you were glad to get that windshield clean. I'm surprised it wasn't the first thing you did before working on it. Great car and video. Please do another on this one.
I had one just like this Lemans except it was painted yellow with a black vinal top. No air-conditioning because of it coming from the east coast. They kept it in really good condition. Thanks for showing this video. It sure brought back good memories when I had one back in the early 80s
What a beautiful car, love the lines. Looks sweet with those wheel's 😮. Very nice 👍🏻
Good job guys beautiful car almost ready for the road stay bless BRO
Strong work fellas……😊Part two please! 😁
Your channel is the best! All looks so professional! You'll deserve so many more followers! Love from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
Good to see Turning Rust up again 👍 Nice little piece of Detroit iron there, nice find guys 🗿 Thanks for sharing
Another great video. I love the old Pontiacs. I am a bit partial since I own a 69 Firebird that I’ve been slowly fixing up the last 5-6 years. I almost took offense to Lance’s comment about only changing the spark plugs and it running so good…. It’s a Pontiacs of course it’ll work… lol… thank you for what you do putting classics back on the road and taking us along for the ride!!
You guys found a gem. And then you went and put those rims on it and made it look even better.😊
I don't see how you could not keep this one. 🇺🇸
What a beauty she is!!!!
I have watched I dont know how many restoration channels, but this is my first time on Turnin Rust. And let me tell you, it wont be my last! Greetings from Sweden!
Nice car. ❤ Really great shape too. Ya don't see too many of those cars around. Really nice car.
Melhor programa caseiro que já apareceu nós últimos tempos. parabéns.
That old car is a survivor...I think it needs a trunk pan, and a holley sniper, show it some love...Great video, great find, can't wait to see where you take this build.
Great to see the big fella pitch in, they worked well together. Fine days.
This was a fantastic episode! Great job! I graduated high School in 1972, that was a really good year! I always loved these cars!
Great follow-up to the first content! It's kind of a stretch to call it a "Muscle Car," but with a four barrel carburetor with CAI, new intake manifold, HEI, headers, & dual exhaust, it's close. Keep on keeping on with this Le Mans!
Yes, a 326 will never be a muscle car engine., just a good running engine for daily driving.
Why all that? It was never intended as a muscle car. Lemans-GTO, Malibu-Chevelle SS, etc. Restore it as close to what it was and it would be a cool car as is, a Lemans. If it were mine, I would even keep the distributor with the points and a new original exhaust system. No need for headers. Change carb to 4 barrel is fine but IMO keeping this car as close to original is best and a daily driver at that.
that old girl looking good and you guys got her back on the road nice one
Thank you for restoring a piece of Detroit art. Cars were amazing in that era ❤❤❤
Why didn't you wash it before you started working on it
This is not a car...this is a piece of art❤
They were still built by hand, back then.
Good video -- beautiful Pontiac -- hard to believe they left such a nice car parked for so long. Btw -- maybe you could go back and get the Dodge pickup that pulled out of the way -- on the outside it sure looked to be in good shape!!
Super video and what a lovely Pontiac...well done. Very good filming Christian👍 Cheers from the UK.
I WOULD PAY YOU 12K FOR THIS JEWEL!!!! After all repairs and a new welded trunk. I would give you that no looking back! If you see some Brazilian commenting here, that is because there are also many muscle cars in Brazil, and many Brazilian people recovering these beauties, just like you guys. They are complimenting and greeting you guys for the incredible work, which I also agree with. Greetings from a Portuguese living in Taiwan.
Just wanted to say, I love the content and effort y'all put into the videos. Great job! Thanks again. BTW, I was a nervous wreck while you boys were inside that barn.
very nice car going to be great project 😅I like thanbodystyle
}:)}:)
That was a fantastic performance of a well synchronised dual Texas Chainsaw Massacre starting up moment , very well executed …
✌️😎👍💜
You Guys do some amazing transformations with some cars others would simply scrap or turn their back on, and forget about them forever…
Keep up the good work guys…
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, do a follow-up on this old Pontiac. What a cool car. Thanks so much for sharing your journey. Take Care!!!
Love it! Beautiful car and could be a daily driver with few key repairs.
Those wheels really make the car look great, and I hope that you make more videos on its restoration. I just wished you had grabbed that Dodge pickup at the same time.
Great car and video. Thanks for sharing and God bless
Oh how I miss my Lemonster. Brings back memories.
Nice find! Definitely worth fixing.
Love those Lemans.
My brother in Houston has one he's completely rebuilt.
Ya'll really didn't have to work too hard on this one. Nice job ya'll
Those wheels made a world of a difference. As always great job guys!!
Turned out beautiful. I’m in love with it. Them weeks really set it off and the body lines are gorgeous!!❤❤
Cleanin space in the barn should be worth a couple hundred lol
تحياتي اميركيا 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👉
Now go back and get that truck
And make it real quick.
I said the same thing.
@@thomassmith9260😮o
The Dodge was in great shape, had no rust
Yesss...., hurry !!
Nice! Y’all got her going! Been a while since y’all picked her up!
Beautiful looking Lemans great video thank you both once again for cool video 👍👍💪
What a treat. Such an iconic body style.
That Dodge pickup was in pretty nice shape too.
Here comes the Pontiac savior.......! Can't wait to watch the rest.....!
PPE when chainsawing guys. Great find , love these cars .
Seems like that one really was running till grandma parked it. Great find!
I bought a new 1970 Lemans Sport, 400 four barrel carb.
Wish I still had it. My car was a little darker green.
Good job on bringing the Lemans back to life.
I'm loving the old Dodge PU truck as well!
I agree on thoes small rounds windows . Not a fan at all so if I was going to have to do roof rust repair thoes windows would get plated in. Great find for an old school muscle car. Glad owner's found ur channel because she'll get saved
Thank you my brothers in Christ. Enjoyed your content . Love the old Pontiac. God bless. Keep the faith. Meet you in Heaven one wonderful day!
Pontiac fan here! Thanks for bringing her back!!
I just love that car!!, beautiful colour and those rims bro, Amazing look.❤❤❤
What a good find guys. we love them old GM a-body cars. .
Never seen a port hole window like that. Was that a rare option?? Sweet car. You stole that!
I found Turning Rust! The Pontiac Lemans thumbnail caught my attention. A good friend’s mom had one and we rode around in it as teenagers. I watched the video and was captivated. I don’t know very much about cars. This one brought back memories. I like Lance and Wyatt. After the video I found your video about being tied up for a while, Restored (will subscribe there too!). I learned of your faith in our Father and praised Him as I saw your story. God Bless you.
Momma always said, if you can’t find a Gto get a Lemans!! Great video
I've scrolled through this phone. And run across you guys You Tube .Seen what you guys are doing. I think it is awesome
Loved the Pontiac revival can’t wait for the next one
Realized I had seen this one before but the music was good enough for watching it again
that ole 1st gen dodge needs to be revived that thing is beyond clean i really hope somone buys her and shows her some well deserved love.
I drove a LeMans to high school back in 97'. Had a stroker motor in it. Got 6 miles to the gallon. Man i love those bodylines. Mine didnt have those port windows though.
As two chainsaws fire up ..... "Run Forest, Run", lol.
"JACK STANDS, JACK STANDS, JACK STANDS GUY'S"😮
amazing transformation keepup the good work man.I ENJOYED much watching you 2 guys.
I had a 1972 Pontiac LeMans in high school. My mother's mechanic found it for me, and he took care of the car occasionally. Back then, I knew nothing about cars other than fast, slow, little, big...so I didn't notice that when I left it there whenever I had a dentist/orthodontist appointment the car got better than before I dropped it off. The power steering started working, the master didn't leak and I had actual brakes, and the rust on the car seemed to begin to fade. One morning, he told me to come get the car tomorrow because it needed a tune-up. I shrugged and went home with my mom. She knew what was going on, by the way. The next day, she got out to say hello to Joe, he flipped me the keys and told me to take it easy. I waved, said goodbye, and started it up. This crazy bastard stuffed a Pontiac 455 engine he had from a totaled GTO into my car “for safekeeping” until he could sell it. When I had to turn left against traffic and gave it a little gas, I did a donut in the road…in front of my mom…at 8:15 am on a Thursday. I turned around and told them Ill be late for work…how did this happen? It was my parent’s present to me for getting into engineering school. I had that car like that for part of the summer of my junior year, and my whole senior year. The deal was I paid as much insurance as I could per month. I paid it all.
Nice find and even better rescue!!! Both my finds were barn finds....69 442 and 85 Grand National.....you have to take care of them as they were forgotten by someone else!!! Great Job.....I put the same rims on my 442!
I'm really enjoy when you restored the old car.i'm also in love of old school cars.thank you guy's
Wow Guys that ole Pontiac really cleaned up nice I can't wait to see it when you get it all done. Beautiful car🤠🤠🤠
Oh my word I love love love this car and green is my fav color.
Those old muscle cars had the best stance and this beauty is no exception
How do you let a beauty like that sit there untouched for 20+ years?!?!?
This is so cool and brings back lots of memories. I had a '72 Luxury LeMans in this same green color but with a white top. Interior was the same color too, but was the top-line Morrokide buckets with a console. The '72 LLM was a one-year-only body style hardtop with its own special 6-panel grille, trim, badging, '71 tailights, and the craziest thing - factory FENDER SKIRTS! This car was loaded with AC, Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes. Plus I had PMD Rallye II wheels and custom redline tires. It was flippin SWEET!
🤩 Just watched this entirely. Very very cool guys. Beautiful car and love your chill tone and pace. That's a beaut!
My neighbor had one exactly like it!
He welded those B pillar portholes shut, removed the vinyl top, painted it raspberry red metal flake, added an LS and 18 inch mag wheels!
Then sold it for 18500!
