Does anyone know how to change that tiny led light that is in the bottom of the left side door. It’s the one that lights up the freezer compartment when you open it?
My freezer light recently started staying on very dimly whether the freezer door was open or not. I have measured the voltage at the LED assembly on the bottom of the left door and it is about 3.8vdc. Again, this voltage doesn't change whether the door is closed or open. I've found switch on the left side but when I manually press it the light still stays dimly lit.
Replaced both switch and led , and still nothing . How is that led light for the freezer powered ? Where are the wires , going to the bottom of the left side door , coming out of the body of the refrig ? Doesnt look like there is anyplace on the hinge for wiring . Model RF261BEAESR
The wiring is usually foamed in place inside the cabinet and it is not serviceable. The main control board is what usually supplies power to the LED lights.
Is there a setting on the touch display to disable the freezer light? Our stopped working after my mum let our daughter play with the touch pad while in her high chair 🤔 Model RF28HFEDBSR
Hey YO! I don’t see any video on how to fix MY freezer light, model #RF28HMEDBSR/AA it’s the light on the bottom of the cold drawer right above the Freezer drawer. Thanks in advance
Ordered this swapped the switches, the new switch didn’t have the locking tab, put it in anyway worked the first time and not once since. What else could it be?
My freezer light all of a sudden stopped working. I watch your videos but it appears that my refrigerator has a reed switch at the bottom left where are you are showing the toggle switch. Is there a way to check how these work or if they are functioning much like the magnet trick you do on the front doors? I have one magnet in that area and still there is nothing. model number rf28hmedbsgaa
Hi Hooziz, yes some models do have reed switch in the freezer. The magnet trick that you watched in our other video is the easiest way to test the switch.
@@Unkownsector it will depend on your model refrigerator. Typically the next things to look at are the light, main control board, or wiring between everything. Check the wiring diagram/schematic for your model.

There's another video for that: ruclips.net/video/dEBcnMFC7r8/видео.html

How do you know if its a burnt out bulb or the switch?
You would have to test the switch using a multimeter.
Replaced the light and the switch, light still doesn’t go on. Any idea for next steps?
Maybe the light is bad or the control board that sends power to the light is bad?
Same here. I replaced both but no luck.
Please tell me why if the light in the freezer stops working it could affect your freezer's fan?! What does one have to do with the other? Thank you.
The refrigerator turns off the freezer fan motor when the freezer door is open.

I just open the freezer drawer, reached in the left hand side, popped the switch and replaced it, no need on my RF4287 to disassemble the freezer
Great! Thanks for sharing.
I bought a non sabbath-mode RF260beaesr/aa. Is there some easy way to turn the lights off for a day?
Thank you for your video. Really helpful !
We are glad you found it helpful!
thanks for help, while mine had magnet reed switches it helped locate and test that the freezer fan was kicking on when door closed
Great! Thanks for the feedback.
So helpful!!! Thank you!!!

Have you figured out how to solve this problem, Hooziz? It seems that I have the same issue.
you really helped alot. Thank you so much
You're welcome!
I’ve replaced the switch and still doesn’t work. What’s next ?
What isn't working?
@@PartsDr the freezer light my apologies

@@PartsDr ugh .. I’m a RUclips mechanic but not that skilled . There are no videos about this on hete
@@PartsDr Why shouldn't we assume that the darn LED light just burned out?
