    Great video. Thanks! I found the part on Amazon for only $18, rather than the $75 on the provided site. I thought that was a really large price range.

      The ones sold on Amazon are aftermarket parts and the parts we sell are original Samsung OEM parts. We don't think it is worth the risk considering if the fan motor fails you could lose hundreds of dollars worth of food.

      Check to make sure the evaporator fan motor is running. ruclips.net/video/x9fK0bN72MA/видео.html Also, check to see if the evaporator coil is frosted up, if it is frosted up then it may not be going through the automatic defrost cycle.

    Thanks for the video. Any tips or tricks to remove the plastic cover ? Mine seems like the styrofoam is stuck on the ice and the plastic cover is coming off by itself. Ive been thawing the freezer section for over 15 hours now.

    • @PartsDr
      @PartsDr  2 года назад

      If it is thawed and still not coming loose, you usually don't have any other option but to start prying and forcing the cover off. Unfortunately, sometimes there are no other options.

    How do you check if the fan is bad in the freezer? Is there a similar situation w/magnets like the refrigerator to see if the fan is working in the freezer? Checked the refrigerator fan thanks to your other video~! Having issues with the freezer freezing; seems that the refrigerator is achieving the temperature, BUT the freezer is struggling - what do you suggest checking? Thanks~!

      Depending on your model, it may have a door switch for the freezer like we show here ruclips.net/video/UY2DXgWBP2U/видео.html or it may have a reed style switch. If it has a reed style switch then you will have to use magnet like you found in our other video to test it.

    Does this motor cool the refrigerator on an RF220CNTTAW/AA Samsung model, or is there another fan behind the panel in the back of the refrigerator. How do I know if I have two fans or one? Freezer is cooling but refrigerator is not.

    • @PartsDr

      It looks like you might have a typo in your model number. You will want to check the fan motor in the refrigerator compartment ruclips.net/video/lre-FuQKN5s/видео.html

    The freezer fan works All the time without stopping or does it work with the heater and is the fan connected to the timer please answer

    • @PartsDr
      @PartsDr  2 года назад

      In the refrigerator shown in this video the fan motor is controlled by the main control board. It turns the fan on and off at different times. For instance, while the refrigerator is cooling down the fan runs, while in defrost the fan is off, while the door is open the fan is off.

    The bad thing is, I have no idea if the fan motor is bad. It makes a vibration noise when it runs that it didn't use to make. I am not sure how to tell when the motor is bad but I have a feeling that mine is on the way out. The freezer still freezes but as I said, it makes a constant vibrating noise as it runs. My display was flashing a -2 unless I reset it. Then it would be good for a couple days and then it would start flashing -2 again on the display.

    • @PartsDr
      @PartsDr  3 года назад

      If the fan motor is not rubbing against anything and the fan blade isn't cracked or damaged then it is most likely a bad fan motor if the fan motor is noisy.

    Hi. Freezer fan hardly runs at all. Freezer temp ranges from -6C to -21C when set at -21C. Would you suspect the fan motor? All sensors, evap cover and PCB have been replaced so far.

    • @PartsDr
      @PartsDr  2 года назад

      It could be caused by a bad fan motor. Intermittent issues like that are very hard to troubleshoot since it will usually be working properly while you are trying to test it.

    My Samsung freezer has two fans. Should I just replace both motors if I'm hearing the noise?

    • @PartsDr
      @PartsDr  Год назад

      Usually only one motor fails at a time. If you can determine which one is bad and is causing you noise, you should be fine to just replace the one that is bad.

      @@PartsDr The problem is that the motor was initially making noise. I took it apart yesterday to get the part number of the motor, then put it back together as is. When I powered the freezer back on, the noise went away, but I noticed that the fridge wasn't getting cold, even though the freezer was working (freezer was still cooling). So something is wrong, but there's no noise coming from the motor. Could the motor have just gone out entirely?
