I always put our videos on in the background while I'm working. I love learning from them and listening to your voice. You have such an entertaining, calm voice to listen to! This hot air balloon is the perfect pattern that I was looking for, thank you so much!
I just had a thought, These would make great tree ornaments and you could put little treats in the basket. My family comes over every Christmas Eve and we have a family gift exchange. I have so many projects to keep me busy. and I love it.
Lisa eres fabulosa, ideas tan hermosas para decorar una habitación de bebé. El globo aerostático me encantó con colores que irradia más luz y alegría. Millones de puntos para tí. Bendiciones.😙
I love this hot air balloon decoration . I have been trying to reduce the size of the pattern in order to make a baby mobile for above a baby cot but I have not been successful . Much material has been wasted . Is there any possibility of you posting a smaller template ? Happy to pay for the pattern . Thank you 🙏
I’m making this balloon right now and I have made so many of your pin cushions and I just love them I’ve made some for gifts and it was a big hit they loved them thank you for giving patterns and tutorial on each love watching you from Linda in Alabama God Bless
I’ve just come across your channel and wish I’d found it sooner. Can’t wait to try this out. Thank you so much for the free pattern. Love your work 👏🏻👏🏻❤️

Hi this is great. I am from Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria. My dad studied in Canada and talked a lot about Hot Air Balloons. His bug bit me and I have been looking for a channel to help me relive this burning passion. Thanks a million. Got something for the kids on Holliday
hello! i'm trying to recreate the hot air balloon (for my baby room) but with felt not fabric. could I please ask what stitch you used to get a clean edge on your felt hot air balloon? did you use embroidery floss or sewing thread for the felt? when I turned mine inside out I got thread visible and a zig zag edge. loving the video! thank you and learning so much
Hi Sheena, The machine stitching is just a straight stitch, set at 2.0 . I sew the seams twice. The thread I hand sew the felt with is extra strong top stitching thread, or perle embroidery thread. Be sure to interface your pieces for strength. I hope this helps🥰
Hi! If I want to make a much larger hot air balloon (approximately 18 inches wide), do I need to make any adjustments other than enlarging the pattern? Thank you!
Hi Katherine, Wow that will be huge! So long as you increase all the pattern pieces by the same Amount you should have no problem, however it will need a lot of stuffing!😂 I’d love to see it finished!🥰
@@payitforward9442 Thank you so much for the information and quick reply! I'm planning this as a centerpiece for the table at a baby shower (rather than hanging), so it will need some modifications! I'm considering using a small beach ball inside to decrease the stuffing amount- I'll upload a picture of the finished product!
Yes Cecilia you need the interfacing on the felt to prevent stretching when stuffing your project. Have a look at my video “How to prepare your felt for sewing” I explain it all there. The interfacing I use is a medium weight woven fusible interfacing. Make friends with interfacing, it will help you a lot!😊🥰
Hi Cecilia! Make sure that your balloon is packed firm enough, and that your gathering stitch is small, if the stitches are too big you will struggle to get it flat. The felt is thick but it will pull in and flatten nicely. I hope this helps!🥰🤗
Just beautiful I have just found and liking all of your patterns and creations lovey items 💕 are we able to sell our craft from your patterns as I do sewing for charity many thanks my favorite is the buttons bunny so life like
I'm missing something really obvious.. I can't make sense of how you finished the top 4mm before you put both pieces of 4 right sides together so you have a straight edge.. I ended up with a zig zag edge😂
I always put our videos on in the background while I'm working. I love learning from them and listening to your voice. You have such an entertaining, calm voice to listen to! This hot air balloon is the perfect pattern that I was looking for, thank you so much!
Just adorable!

Thank you for your video. It is incredibly helpful and also kind of you to provide the free pattern. Thumbs up and I have subscribed :)
Welcome! I hope you will enjoy creating with me!🥰
Did you use a particular felt? Is synthetic felt ok?
Would like interface work or do you recommend heavier?
Thanks!

Hi
I am so enjoying your videos and would like to know if you have a pattern for the critters in your hot air balloon
Thanks
Hi Sharon, The little passengers are from my Mamma and baby series, They are in my video list🥰
Yes thanks I found them and now according to my 9 year will be making critters for the rest of my life lol 😂
I have a question, of all the tutorials for making felt fruit, yours is the best, looks neater and precise. Do you sell the fruit pattern on Esty?
Hi Wanda, no I don’t, however my next Tutorial has some felt fruit in it, stay tuned😊🥰

@@payitforward9442 ye thank you! unfortunately having to hand stitch it all at the moment which is why it isn't getting the same finish!

May I ask, is the interfacing really necessary when using felt? (I really hate using interfacing!)
If it is necessary, how thick/what kind of interfacing do you use?
Yes Cecilia you need the interfacing on the felt to prevent stretching when stuffing your project. Have a look at my video “How to prepare your felt for sewing” I explain it all there. The interfacing I use is a medium weight woven fusible interfacing. Make friends with interfacing, it will help you a lot!😊🥰
Tips for clinching the bottom with felt vs fabric? The felt is so thick I'm having trouble!
Hi Cecilia! Make sure that your balloon is packed firm enough, and that your gathering stitch is small, if the stitches are too big you will struggle to get it flat. The felt is thick but it will pull in and flatten nicely. I hope this helps!🥰🤗

Thank you so much you are very kind many thanks xx
I’m making a felt balloon but I don’t have a sewing machine, how would you sew them al together?
Hi Sarah, I have a video called ‘How to sew the Stab back stitch”. This is the stitch you need to hand sew seams, it’s very easy!🥰🤗
@@payitforward9442 thank you! I will have a look for it now x
I didn't understand how to sew the point at the start. Could someone explain?
Hi, is the pattern still available please?
Yes! The link is in the description box below the video 🥰
New here
Welcome!🥰
I'm missing something really obvious.. I can't make sense of how you finished the top 4mm before you put both pieces of 4 right sides together so you have a straight edge.. I ended up with a zig zag edge😂
What if instead of sewing the pieces together, I use the glue gun for a project with children? I think it'll do it.
Hi Chris! If you scroll through all my videos you will find a papercraft version of this project, very cute and perfect for making with the kids!🥰
@@payitforward9442 Awesome, thank you!
